About: I've had pets in my world my whole life. I grew up with dogs, cats and many small critters. Animal care is like second nature to me! My kids grew up in a one or two dog household, which I raised and trained as puppies and cared for during their senior years. Currently I am the proud owner of Finnley, my 4 year old black Labrador Retriever. I've raised and trained her since she was eight weeks old. Through consistent positive training, she has mastered basic commands and has become an active well-behaved companion. Because of my daily routine of walking and hiking at least 2 miles every day, I have the stamina and enthusiasm to give energetic dogs the quality exercise and playtime they need. In addition to dogs, I also have deep personal experience with cats. I lovingly cared for a sweet feline, Sadie from a kitten through her senior years- she lived to the ripe age of 13. Whether you have an energetic pup who needs a brisk walk or an independent cat who needs gentle attention or food routines maintained, I understand how to read different pet personalities. I am currently working part-time and have plenty of time to care for your pet. I can provide reliable daily walks or drop-in services to keep your pet(s) happy. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pet(s) in someone else's hands. I will follow feeding, walking, and household instructions to the letter, double check all doors and gates and never take unnecessary risks on walks. I will treat every animal in my care like a member of my own family.

About: Hello! My name is Amanda. I live in Tolland, CT with my husband and son. I have a lifetime of experience with animals of all kinds. Growing up I always had dogs and/or cats, as well as several other types of pets. I worked in a pet grooming salon for 6 1/2 years, and a doggy daycare for 1 year. I have also done pet walking and sitting for family and friends. I have owned and/or taken care of many different types of pets, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, rabbits, birds, hamsters, and mice. We currently have a dog, cat, guinea pig, and turtle! I take care of and love each pet as if they are my own. I am a kind, compassionate, patient person who can't wait to meet your pets! Pet care is my full time job. My schedule is flexible, I can usually always find a time to fit in a furry friend! My husband is a stay at home dad, so I don't have to worry about having to find childcare in order to work. I love, care for, and treat all animals as if they are my own. I would always make sure the pet is safe, loved, and well cared for. I live with my husband and son who are both animal lovers as well.

About: I love dogs and cats! I do not currently own a dog or cat, but I volunteer with Our Companions in their Adopt a Shelter program spending time visiting and walking dogs in local shelters, and I have volunteered at their animal sanctuary in Ashford walking dogs. I am also in their Canine College program, taking and assisting in dog training classes. I enjoy using positive training techniques (treats and praise) to reinforce polite dog walking and attentive behaviors. I am comfortable walking dogs up to 70 lbs. I have recently retired, which gives me some flexibility, and I am participating in a Canine College dog training program. I love dogs, and I am looking for more opportunities to meet and spend time with dogs. I also enjoy cats and would be happy to house sit and/or walk your cat as well! My recent experiences with Our Companions Animal Sanctuary and Canine College programs are teaching me so much about being a pet guardian for different kinds of dogs. I am learning about dog body language and how to help engage dogs in enrichment, calming, and attention-game activities while in a home, in a yard, and on a walk. I have friends who own cats, and I enjoy getting to know them as well.

About: Ever since I can remember I have always watched animals for friends, family members, and neighbors. I have worked as a dog walker for a company where I was responsible for letting myself in and taking their dog for a walk. I also have experience in two different animal shelters. During summer breaks I work as a veterinary assistant so I am very comfortable around animals with medical needs and administering medications. I have also had a bunny for several years and have watched other peoples bunnies so I am very familiar with bunny care. I am currently a full-time student, with a flexible class schedule. Most of my availability will be after class is over usually between 1-3pm depending on the day. Some days I will be done earlier than others. I am free all day on Saturday and Sunday. While I am unable to board your animals due to my living situation I would love to take care of your pets in other ways! My biggest priority when spending time with any animal, whether they are my own or someone else's, is health and safety. When walking dogs outside I am always vigilant regarding our surroundings. Even when in the client's home I am constantly on the look out for anything the dog should could get into trouble with whether that is a toy or food item.

About: I have always loved all types of animals! I have taken a few classes at UConn for canine and feline behavior and one animal training class. I own a cat currently, and I own and have alot of experience caring for tons of exotic animals from reptiles to amphibians and small mammals. I am very comfortable around all types of animals and I am excited to meet and care for your pets! I have volunteered back at home in NYC for SI Hope to care for kittens and older cats. I have done multiple dog volunteer days at the ACC so I am experienced with handling dogs and puppies alike. I’m also reliable, responsible, and will always make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. I am a seasonal worker so during the year I am a full time student. I have one to two classes a day as it's my senior year. I will have plenty of time to care for your pet and give them company! Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority! When caring for pets in their own home, I will follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. I understand that every pet is different, so I’ll take the time to make sure they feel comfortable and safe with me. About: - Very flexible with pay -Open availability -I take the dogs out for walks every 2-3 hours -I’m very friendly and have 2 dogs of my own - I will bathe the dog(s) if they become messy - I will treat your dog like my own -I will play with the dogs and make sure they get plenty of activity - I have a huge yard - I will watch the dog at all times while outside - If it’s an emergency I can try to squeeze you in - I do some weekends (mornings) if necessary -I’m very good with communication and respond within the hour - I’m good with basic training,bathes and minor grooming -I’m also understating and very easy to get along with I am a WFH parent. During my down time I am able to take care of these dogs. I’m always home and very active in animal care. I have two dogs that remain in a separate part of the house. About: I have 4 dogs of my own. I absolutely love every single kind of animal. I am very passionate about animals. I dog sit my best friends dogs & co workers dogs as well as family pets. I work Sunrise hours Tuesday-Friday. I’m off of work by 11am and have the rest of my morning & afternoon to take care of my babies & play with them as well as take care of anyone else pets. All 3 of my dogs are very friendly. I have 1 dog who is a small cranky old lady with no teeth but she’s usually laying in bed relaxing while the other dogs play. My back yard is semi fenced in. The whole back portion is fenced but you are able to go to the front yard from the sides of the house.
