Dog Walking Storrs

About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs my entire life. Even through college and grad school, I had roommates with pets. Now I’m living in a rental that doesn’t allow animals, so I’m hoping to find some local pets to care for and spend time with! I’ve cared for cats and dogs of all ages and activity levels since I was young, and I enjoy taking dogs for walks any time of year! I’m a middle school teacher, so I have a pretty consistent schedule from August-June. Most days I’m able to leave work by 3, so I have all afternoon and evening to care for pets. In the summer and on breaks, I have a lot more flexibility with my schedule. I do have a small fenced in yard in case I had a client’s pet in my home, though I’d more than likely care for the pets in the client’s home. I have experience feeding, bathing, crating, giving meds, walking, and snuggling dogs of all ages and activity levels, as well as feeding and giving meds to cats.

About: Over the years, I've cared for my own four companion rescue dogs and many more cats. I also started and ran a licensed farm animal rescue for 17 years where I provided daily care for sheep, goats, llamas, chickens, turkeys and pigs. I have lots of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities and am comfortable working with special needs animals and giving meds. I am also available for drop-in care for some companion or pet farm animals. My routine is very flexible as I am a self-employed consultant and work remotely from my own home. I am available for visits in the morning, afternoon, and evening. I am currently available to do drop-in visits for cats and dogs along with dog walks. With dogs and cats of my own to care for, I’m not able to do overnight housesits.

About: I've had dogs since I was 10 and participated with their health care growing up and decided I wanted to be in the veterinary field from that point. I started pet sitting for a farm in 2017-2021. I went to school to be a veterinary assistant in 2020. I later got a job at a vet clinic in 2021 and started pet sitting for clients there on the side. I've had 4 years experience with observing animal behavior and know what to look for when a pet is feeling ill, restraint, nail trims, administering medications, injections, and treatments. I also worked for a summer at a dog boarding facility and have experience with observing play behaviors to prevent fights from breaking out in groups. I just recently quit my full-time veterinary assistant job in October 2025, due to workplace drama and still have some regular pet sitting clients from the vet clinic, but thought I'd give this a shot to widen my clientele. If you like my services, I encourage you to contact me outside of Rover! I can only take on other dog friendly dogs in my house because I have 2 myself. I'm willing to go to your house for visits if they're not dog friendly. I have an unfenced yard, so any dogs staying with me will go outside on a leash. Dogs must be crate trianed to stay at my house. My dogs stay out when I go on errands or out for the evening, but get locked up at night.

Additionally, I realized at the end of that 12 hour shift that I had no coverage for the next two days due (in no small part to a massive house move that had just occurred). About: I have taken care of many different kinds of dogs and cats my whole life. In my neighborhood I am the trusted pet sitter and pet walker! I work part time during my summer so I can focus on the pets I am hired to take care of. During the school year I do have some longer days so only certain days I can take care of dogs that require less than 4 hrs of alone time. I always follow the ground rules set by the owners. I do my best to make sure the pets do not get into anything that could cause them harm.

About: I grew up in a family that bread, Dalmatians. As I head into retirement, I'd be happy to help other families with job service services or boarding services. I have a very laid-back in well-behaved male Dalmatian that enjoys company. I’m currently retired so I have time to help our other families. I’d be happy to do drop-ins or pup-sit. If you want socialization then my pup would be thrilled to attend Whether it’s squirrel chasing or some basic training, it’s important to get energy out during drop-in visits. Balls and treats are a good way to break the ice!

About: I’ve had dogs since I was born! My last dog Sam was a pitbull, she was crazy but I love her! That’s the exact philosophy I have for all dogs. Im just a college student on summer break with lots of time for walks and play dates with your companion. I’m a part time worker during the weekdays between 5-10pm. I’m a college student with extra time that I’d love to spend with your companion! I have plenty of time during the mornings to afternoons for walks, treats and pets. Respect and trust are 2 MAJOR things I don’t take lightly! I am respectful of both you and your companion, but also to your space. I treat others spaces as my own, that’s a responsibility I ALWAYS serve.

About: I am new to the Rover app but I’ve taken care of animals my entire life and have a wide range of availability! I just want to be able to help those who need their fur babies taken care of without the added stress of boarding them. I have experience with lots of different animals, sizes, diets and medicine administration. I only have one pet in my house and he’s a small 20lb dog named Koda. He LOVES other animals and even has some cat bffs! I am home most week nights and weekends so i have pretty open availability! I take my dog on long walks after work and we are always looking for more company! I do not have a fenced yard but I do have a very yard with a leash that is on a run with plenty of room to get the zoomies out! I have a spacious house and we welcome dogs on all furniture, so if you have a pet who prefers to cuddle up and sleep in bed, i’m your gal!

About: I am an animal science student at UConn and currently ride on their equestrian team. I have trained my own two dogs while learning from a professional trainer and now I train and sell horses along with house sitting dogs and cats here and there. I am available most days to walk, run, or visit your cat or pup until I go back to college. I am currently not working another job so my schedule is open. I have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting before I came to college and during the summer. I have my own two dogs back home that are part of our family and a cat! I love spending time just chilling or playing with my dogs but we also go for runs, walks, and mountain biking together so I can fit into whatever your dog needs!

About: Been taking care of dogs for 6 years now. Have had experience training two of my own dogs and taking care of them/walking them on my own. I also work alongside with my father (also named Luis ) who has been doing dog boarding for about 2 years now. Me and my father are very used to the behavior of dogs and comfortable with dogs no matter the size or the breed of your dog. I have always had a strong love and a passion for animals, especially dogs I am currently a college student looking to make a little bit extra money by taking care of dogs. If I cannot look after the dog, my dad also takes care of dogs and is always available Me and my father don't live in a very busy neighborhood so you don't have to worry about your dog being unsafe. We have a relatively big house and also have a park very close to my house with a big open field and fence for the dogs to run around in were I can walk your dog and play with them to keep them busy without the risk of them getting hurt. I also have many toys for your dogs to play with if you would like for me to have them get a more fun experience instead of just walking them.

I follow all your instructions carefully—from feeding and medication to routines and house rules—because consistency helps pets feel secure. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was young. I grew up in a house with 4 dogs and 2 cats. I now have 2 dogs of my own. A 5 and a half year old golden/husky mix and a 4 year old golden retriever. I believe each dog has needs of their own and being able to provide them a comfortable environment whether on a walk or if I’m visiting them for some play time- they decide how it goes. As long as they are happy, that is what matters! Just a girl helping others out when I can :) Every day I am taking care of my animals, I literally quit my office job for a stay at home job so they could have a happy life. I treat them like my own kids. Although my dogs are trained, if they want something… a quick “sit” or other trick will work for me!!
