About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs my entire life. Even through college and grad school, I had roommates with pets. Now I’m living in a rental that doesn’t allow animals, so I’m hoping to find some local pets to care for and spend time with! I’ve cared for cats and dogs of all ages and activity levels since I was young, and I enjoy taking dogs for walks any time of year! I’m a middle school teacher, so I have a pretty consistent schedule from August-June. Most days I’m able to leave work by 3, so I have all afternoon and evening to care for pets. In the summer and on breaks, I have a lot more flexibility with my schedule. I do have a small fenced in yard in case I had a client’s pet in my home, though I’d more than likely care for the pets in the client’s home. About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, and I have been pet sitting for a little over three years now! I currently have my own pets: two cats, and a dog. I have a few families whom I sit for regularly. I have had experience caring for puppies-senior dogs with special needs, diapers, and medications, as well as kittens-senior cats! My whole life I have been caring for pets of my own, as well as those of friends and family. My boyfriend has been sitting with me for well over 2 years now and has a lot of experience caring for many different animals. We have helped a few families out with training as well so that they can stay as close to their normal routine as possible! I’m currently working full time at UConn, but my boyfriend is working remotely. This being said he would be able to provide plenty of potty breaks throughout the day. About: I have been working with dogs in multiple capacities for years! I have had an on and off dog walking business of my own since I was 14, and working in daycares/kennels since I was 16. I have taken care of dogs big and small, and young and old. And I love them all! I am currently a part-time student at UConn Storrs, but I am based out of Storrs, CT. I am available weekends (Friday-Sunday) throughout the school year for walks, drop-ins, and overnights. I am in the area full-time on weekdays for walks, hikes or other fun activities with your doggos! I can work around whatever setup you already have in your home. I have plenty of experience getting dogs in and out of crates/kennels as well as house training my own dogs if crates aren't your thing! Rest assured your pets are in great hands and I’m excited to meet them! I have my own kitty at home and work with pets frequently. I want to be as respectful as possible of your home. If there is anything I should be aware of, areas you want me to avoid, please let me know. I am here to help support you! I am currently working remotely with a flexible schedule and so I will have plenty of time with your pets! I can’t wait to spend my time with them! In my home we have a relatively scheduled day for our pets with specific feeding and care times. If you have a particular schedule please let me know!
About: My name is Jen, I am an avid animal lover, dog mom, and part-time adventurer. I have my BA in psychology and have always been interested in animal behavior. I first started watching friends' dogs in 2001, then moved on to house-sitting cats and dogs. I have great experience taking care of pups and love taking them on long walks, trips to the park, the beach, and places alike. And there's always time for some positive reinforcement! I am always willing to work on some training with your pup if you request. I have a 6-year-old love bug Cavapoo named Beau who is the light of my life! I walk my dog on the trails every single day after work and we enjoy it! I will not be taking care of any dogs at my home at this time. If this changes I will update the profile as soon as possible. I do not stay over night but I will stay until bed time and return in the AM.
