“I was particularly apprehensive about choosing a dog walker for my rescue dog. Molly is high anxiety, a result of her abusive history. I’d used the same dog-walker for three years, since first adopting Molly. She was a college student whose class schedule ultimately clashed with her dog-walking schedule, leaving me to find someone new. I interviewed several candidates, ultimately choosing Kala because she clearly showed an understanding of how best to interact with anxious rescue animals. Molly took to her quickly, so I’d say that Molly chose Kala! Kala has been great! She’s kind, patient, and understanding with Molly’s quirks. Molly seems to really love her, which obviously makes it easier for me when I have to be away from her. I would highly recommend Kala, particularly for those with very sensitive animals. I can’t say enough good things about her.”

About: Hello, we are Orion (he/him) and Alex (he/him)! I, Orion, typically handle all the communication through the app, but we are both background checked by Rover! Both of us have had six family dogs throughout our lives and have experience taking care of cats. Most of our pets were adopted young and grew into seniors, so we have experience with dogs and cats of all ages. We no longer live with any dogs, but we have two cats of our own. I am currently a college student, but for the most part, I have a pretty open schedule. Alex works remotely and has a flexible schedule as well. We love socializing with pets and getting to know their unique personalities while we’re visiting them. We will care for them as if they are our own! We are also particular about following instructions exactly as provided to ensure the utmost care and safety of your pet.

About: For three years. I was a part of E.C.A.D. It’s a facility that trains dogs to aid people with disabilities. I got to hang out with some incredible dogs and train them! During my high school years, I studied and majored in veterinary science. I also spent my free time volunteering at doggy daycare where I took care of all kinds of dogs. I’ve grown up around dogs including some of my own, and let me tell you, it’s been a blast! Family friends always relied on me to babysit their dogs while they were away and I loved every second of it. So if you’re looking for someone who’s crazy about dogs and knows their way around a leash, you’ve found the right person! I’m currently a college student so I have a lot of free time available over the weekend and even some weekdays. Especially over the summer, I have months and months of free time that can be spent taking care of your pups! At home, I have a friendly dog and cat to keep your fur baby company. I also have a big open yard and place to take them on long walks. While on the other hand, my college campus has a lot of open fields that are perfect for your dog as well as trails for long walks.

My dogs loooove her, on her first visit one of my dogs wouldn’t even get his treat from her hand, now he is in love with her. They are so happy to see her every time.
