About: I've had pets in my world my whole life. I grew up with dogs, cats and many small critters. Animal care is like second nature to me! About: I love dogs and cats! I do not currently own a dog or cat, but I volunteer with Our Companions in their Adopt a Shelter program spending time visiting and walking dogs in local shelters, and I have volunteered at their animal sanctuary in Ashford walking dogs. I am also in their Canine College program, taking and assisting in dog training classes. I enjoy using positive training techniques (treats and praise) to reinforce polite dog walking and attentive behaviors. I am comfortable walking dogs up to 70 lbs. About: Ever since I can remember I have always watched animals for friends, family members, and neighbors. I have worked as a dog walker for a company where I was responsible for letting myself in and taking their dog for a walk. I also have experience in two different animal shelters. During summer breaks I work as a veterinary assistant so I am very comfortable around animals with medical needs and administering medications.
