She took the time to schedule a meet-and-greet ahead of the weekend, which immediately put us at ease, and she was incredibly sweet, flexible, and accommodating throughout the entire stay. “We had a wonderful experience with Haoran and would absolutely give her 5 stars. From the very beginning, she asked thoughtful questions that made us feel confident and at ease leaving our dog in her care. Right after drop-off, she sent us a message with photos to let us know how our dog was settling in, which was incredibly comforting. Throughout the three days, she kept us updated with pictures and messages, and we could clearly see that our dog was getting plenty of playtime, exercise, good food, and enjoying time with the other dog. When we picked her up, our dog was calm, balanced, and happy—which says everything. We would recommend Haoran anytime. She has a beautiful space with plenty of room for dogs to play, and she took excellent care of our dog while keeping us consistently updated, which we truly appreciated.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for about 6 years and have encountered all types, from the couch potatoes to the ones who want to play nonstop! I am home full time so I am available any day and any time for drop off and pick up. Being home full time also means I will be available for your pet at anytime they need me throughout there stay at my home. I have a sturdy 100 ft dog runner that has held very large dogs. While at my home your pet is my only priority and I am happy to suit any needs they have.
“Our two dogs had a great 4-night stay with Lisa! She listened carefully to the special instructions for our larger, anxious dog. Both pups were calm and happy during their stay. Nice location in a quiet, convenient spot with large house and yard.”

About: I have a 13 year old dog so i understand the patience it takes to care for animals. I am attentive and loves to play. My schedule is pretty flexible so I am able to check in with the animal frequently. I am able to check in throughout the day I have a dog who is friendly and playful with others. “Maggie took very good care of Samson, or 2 1/2 year old energetic dog. good looooong walks, lots of cuddling, and he seemed really happy there. Add to that, lots of photos sent to us to put our minds more at ease while we were away. Her dog Moose got along really well with Samson too. I'd recommend her to anyone who wants TLC for their pup.”

About: I love pets, they are the cutest addition to our lives. I have a dog of my own, she is 2 1/2 years old, very playful and friendly. I have had pets since childhood and love taking care of them, we have a house and a fenced yard, hence your pup is safe to play outdoors whenever they want. They are allowed on furniture too. Will love to take care of your precious little baby 😊 I work from home few times a week and my mom stays at home full time, so someone is always there to play with your pups and to take care of them. I have a fenced yard so they are safe when playing outdoors, I can take them on walks weather permitting, if they like to sleep in their crate they can do so too, potty breaks according to their schedule and have fun indoors. Cooper’s stay was my first time booking with Kristin, and she will be 1st choice whenever I need care for him! She sent multiple texts with videos showing me how comfortable and happy Cooper was. I believe he got all the love and attention he gets at home so he adapted quickly and was a good boy for her

Renata has watched my dog Teddy twice now in the last couple of months, and I have never seen him so happy!! Renata is loving, active with the dog and keeps a steady flow of pictures and videos coming. Renata is just ideal, took teddy on long walks at trails and parks, and treated him like her own dog. Thank you so much Renata!!!
Kristin was an excellent sitter for our pup, Franklin. From the very first message through the end of the boarding, she was responsive, communicative, and reassuring. She kept us updated with pictures, videos, and thoughtful messages, which helped us feel confident that Franklin was in good hands. It was clear he had a blast playing with the other dogs—he came home happy and totally tuckered out. We’ll definitely be booking with Kristin again!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Renata and Mike took amazing care of both my cat and dog while I was away. They sent regular updates with photos that gave me total peace of mind, and it was clear my pets were happy, comfortable, and well-loved. My dog got plenty of exercise and attention, and even my usually shy cat warmed up to them right away. I came home to two very content pets and a spotless house. I’ll definitely be booking with Renata again—they truly went above and beyond!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
