About: I've had pets my whole life and have experience dog sitting. I'm dependable, caring, and treat every pet like family while following their routine and giving them plenty of love and attention. I only work part-time, so I have a flexible schedule to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. I also have a reliable car, making it easy for me to arrive on time, accommodate last-minute bookings, and ensure your pets get the attention and care they deserve. I think it is important to offer positive reinforcement and constant love (for pets who want it), or even just hanging out and making the pet know that they get their needs met.
About: Dog person? Cat person? Why choose? 😄 I love all kinds of pets! And birds, plants, and everything in between! 🦋🐝🐶🐱🦜🌿 I’m always grateful for the opportunity to meet and care for your furry babies, and even happier when they happen to live next door! 🐾 I work part-time from home 💻 and have a flexible schedule. I'm available for meet & greets any day after 2 PM. Feel free to reach out to arrange a convenient time! Will accommodate your pet's needs whether at your home or mine. I believe in keeping their life routines as normal as possible while you are away. If boarding is needed, I presently have one cat of my own, so your cat/s are welcome to share our home for awhile (one family's pet(s) at a time).
About: I grew up in a family that bread, Dalmatians. As I head into retirement, I'd be happy to help other families with job service services or boarding services. I have a very laid-back in well-behaved male Dalmatian that enjoys company. I’m currently retired so I have time to help our other families. I’d be happy to do drop-ins or pup-sit. If you want socialization then my pup would be thrilled to attend Whether it’s squirrel chasing or some basic training, it’s important to get energy out during drop-in visits. Balls and treats are a good way to break the ice!
“Lindsey went above and beyond taking care of my 2 dogs last minute for me. She followed instructions and communicated with me throughout the day, using the Rover app check-in and sending me pics and updates. She even noticed my Pekingese, Holly, was overdo for a haircut and asked if it was ok to brush/groom her. She did an awesome job and Holly very much appreciated it! Will definitely ask Lindsey to sit again.”

“Sydney was amazing. Not only was she able to jump in last minute she sent tons of photos and kept us updated on our babies care. Our doggies are old men now and need a bit more care and attention. She did a wonderful job!”

About: My veterinary assistant experience with small and large animals sets me apart as I keep a close eye on your animal’s health and well-being. I am not easily spooked, but I want your pet to receive the best care I can give. I am not a trainer, but I am comfortable dealing with some pets with behavioral issues. I want to create the safest and most comfortable environment for your pet, your sanity and myself! I currently work four days a week and have a three day weekend. I am looking to pet sit for people who are going on a short trip or need routine weekend care. I can be flexible with week nights, but it will need to be established well in advance. I am looking to house sit in the owners residence. My cats would not be happy to have any new comers to our family. I am very punctual with breakfast and dinner time, and I am typically one to spend time wherever the pet would like to whether that be indoors or outdoors!
“Very prompt with communications, dependable, she made sure to get all requirements ahead of time. Took great care of my cats and plenty of photos! Would easily recommend to others.”

About: As a furmama of 14 years to my sweet chocolate lab and now caring for my 3 year old German Short-haired Pointer I know how important they are to us. I have trained both of my pups to walk without pulling and at a heel. Would love to meet your furbaby and help get them some exercise while you are busy. I'm available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays anytime. I work full-time so during the week my flexibility is worked around my work schedule which fluctuates. Message me to check availability. I do have a fenced in yard and a 3 year old GSP that loves to play. I have had dogs my whole life and love to play and spend time with them as long as they are friendly.
“Deb did an excellent job taking care of Molly Molly and Starfire! She sent pictures and great communication each day. She also took the time to engage with them during each visit - couldn't ask for more.”

“You will not find a better person to care for your pet. Kristen is caring, attentive, and exactly the type of person I needed to care for my high energy pup while I'm at work. She cares and wants to do what is the best for you and your pet. So happy to have met her, you will not be disappointed!”

About: I am certified in pet first aid and CPR, and am very serious when it comes to pet care, safety, and health. I have experience in pet care through all stages (puppy - senior), and complex medical cases. Each dog and cat is an individual with their own needs, wants, and traits that need to be fulfilled and noticed. BOARDING & DAYCARE: I LOVE pet care, and providing a safe, fun, and enriching environment. I understand how important it is to choose the right person to take care of your beloved dog or cat. My primary focus will be the safety of all pets in the house. I will also make sure you feel happy and comfortable that your pet is in my homeby going through all of the details before your pets stay, and updating you with pictures and videos! **Dogs MUST be fully potty trained** DROP IN VISITS: Playing, potty, feeding, cuddling, bathing... I will do whatever needs to be done to make sure your pet is both happy and safe! PLEASE NOTE: - I work full time. On Fridays, I get home around at 1:45pm. - I will accept boarding OR daycare. I cannot accommodate both arrangements on the same days. - If you have one dog and more than one cat, I will accept them all. I will have a private, separate room for your cats. - I would like as much notice as possible to set up the pet care arrangement! I have a fenced in yard and a female dog, Sophie, who is very friendly and playful! I will always monitor them and never leave them alone without supervision. Our cats are blocked off by door at the top of stairs (they'll stay on the second floor). My previous dog, Johnny, passed away in 2024 and throughout his life he experienced health issues that required daily oral medication (epilepsy and hypothyroidism, and during the last 6 months of his life he had Cushing's Disease). I am experienced in how complicated medication and health issues are in pets. I make sure our home is a calm environment filled with toys, playtime, cuddles, and mentally stimulating activities. My goal is to do what's best for the individual dog/cat and make them feel both safe and loved! If your pet needs their own private space, there is a private room that will be changed to fit the dog or cat's needs. The set up will include toys, their own items, and washable mats on the floor that will be washed/disinfected before use. ****To ensure the safety of all pets in the household, I need to see the most recent Vet paperwork showing your pet is up to date on vaccines and does not have a contractable health issue. ****Your pet MUST NOT be aggressive. Your dog MUST be fully potty trained.
“Sarah was absolutely amazing, I really felt so comfortable that my Finnegan was in great hands with her! I was able to get away and literally not have any stress or concerns about my dogs well being! Thank you so much Sarah and thank you for the updates on every visit and the pictures too :)”

“Amanda did a wonderful job caring for our cat Serene while we were on vacation. She was extremely kind, caring and thoughtful, she provided excellent and constant communication about Serene’s well-being. She not only fed Serene and cleaned her litter box every visit like asked, but also played with her and bonded with her, and provided us with cute photos of her to look at while we were away and missing her. I would absolutely recommend Amanda for any pet owner who needs someone to do drop-ins with their pet while they are away, and would definitely book her again! Thank you Amanda 😊”

“Orion and Alex were very kind and professional when I reached out about drop-in visits with Collins. I had never worked with a pet sitter before, and they were very gracious about all of my questions and the detailed instructions I left. Orion provided updates and pictures for me each time he and Alex visited my apartment, and they took the time to try and socialize with my sweet, yet somewhat, standoffish cat. I definitely plan to book time with Orion and Alex again!”

Kelsey is very punctual and detailed oriented. Kelsey ensured the animals were happy and healthy for 10 days. She spent a lot of time with Alvin, and brushed his crazy hair, which he loved. Rambo the Rooster was well cared for too, even from the food stealing, country raccoons. :) Would recommend Kelsey!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
