4. Matthew D.

“We are very thankful for Matt house and pet sitting during our vacation. It was a 10 day trip and its good to have peace of mind that someone like Matti is caring for our two pets. Taking out dog Bruno to the dog park was great for a high energy pup. We will definitely book him again!”

5. Jenna H.

“Jenna was proactive, reliable and loving. She asked questions about caring for our dog that I didn't even think of and she went above and beyond in terms of caring for him and our house and yard. You can tell she has a patient and caring disposition and it showed in how our dog was immediately in love, which made it a stress free night away for us. Buddy was well exercised, cuddled and taken care of! I'd recommend Jenna to anyone and we will definitely use her again.”

6. Emme N.
“Emme was an absolutely splendid pet sitter for my senior dog. She is incredibly nice, competent and communicative and demonstrates all of that in a first impression. While away for the weekend I never had to worry; any outreach I had was always met with a swift response. There is no doubt she absolutely loves dogs and is a reliable pet-sitter for your furry-friend!”

7. Melissa F.

“Melissa was wonderful. She took care of my 18 year old chihuahua. She did everything we asked of her and I highly recommend her to anyone that has a needy little guy like mine”

8. Celia G.
“Celia is a caring and attentive pet lover. She occasionally takes care of dogs from shelters, and is the go-to pet sitter for friends due to her great level of care. Having taken care of so many pets she is great dealing with all types of personalities and energy levels. Dogs quickly and easily warm up to her, and she is quick to understand their feelings to let them know they are under good care. Her care and love towards dogs make Celia an amazing pet-sitter.”

9. Emma Y.
About: I have owned and cared for pets my entire life and have been pet sitting for around 4 years. I have fostered many kittens and puppies as well! I also am pursuing a veterinary career and currently work in a veterinary hospital. I'm comfortable doing special care for pets and grooming (including nail trimming). I also do well with puppy training due to my experience fostering and owning pups! I'm currently working part time and work 8am-6pm Monday and Friday in a vet hospital. Throughout the week and weekend I am mostly at home. My job also allows me to bring pets with me to work! I typically start by making sure the animals in the house can smell me first and I'll give them treats(if allowed) so they can relax a bit. I also will adhere to any and all instructions left by the owner. I also will be able to play with pets and give them lots of attention!

10. Jaimie B.

“Jaimie stayed in our house and took wonderful care of our cat, plants, and everything else. She quickly made friends with our shy, skittish cat and they seemed to have a great time together. I recommend her without reservation and would happily ask her to housesit again!”

11. Esmerilda R.

“Esmerelda is always amazing with our spoiled fur babies. It’s so nice knowing that they are getting lots of love and attention when we are away.”

12. Ashley B.

“Ashley was wonderful! I highly recommend her. She did such a great job with my little dog. She was timely, trustworthy, a great communicator, and best of all my dog loves her! Thank you, Ashley!”

13. Kendall D.

“We were visiting from out of town and needed someone to watch our puppy at our hotel—and Kendall was amazing! She was punctual, kind, and clearly experienced with young dogs. Our pup was calm and happy when we returned, and it was such a relief knowing he was in good hands while we were away. We really appreciated her flexibility and professionalism. Highly recommend if you live the area or visiting like us and need a trustworthy sitter!”

14. Carla T.

“Carla was great again during her second stay in our house with Sherlock! She sent pictures daily and followed all instructions on how to care for our big pup.”

15. Susannah L.

“We feel lucky to have discovered Susannah on Rover! From the moment we met her, we liked her. and she seemed to like our pets. Our dog, Beau took to her quickly. It’s the best thing to know our pets were with a great person like Susanna, while we took a four-day road trip. She was extra kind and slept with our daughter’s cat!”

16. Negin S.
About: I have been in love with cats and small dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with 4 cats, 2 pigeons, a pittie mix, and 2 small dogs in my home, and immediately adopted my own cat once I moved out. I've been pet sitting across multiple platforms since I was 15. Your larger, active dog loves the fact that I am runner. Your cat and senior dogs love the way they can cuddle up to me while I'm constantly writing. I'm here for the quality time, and here because if I could adopt every cat and dog in the world, I absolutely would. I am excited to bond with your pet and make them feel like someone loving and familiar is still around while you are on your trip away! Excepting the other Rover sits, I work on a contract and freelance schedule, so my schedule is relatively flexible. Shoot me a message and let's see if we can make it work. Even if I'm fully booked, go ahead and reach out and I'll see if I can squeeze you in. One might say I'm obsessed with cats and dogs. I tend to bond easily with animals since my priority is keeping each pet comfortable in their own routine and home. Communication is huge for me - I care to pick up on your pet's cues. I have compassion for the signals, and know when to give space, and how to comfort. I love caring for small sensitive dogs. Small is not less to me. I'm small. I really care to coax them into feeling calm and safe.

17. Cat N.

“Cat was amazing with our 3 dogs! She was able to walk all of them together and she sent tons of pictures and videos so we knew they were in good hands. She was very communicative in letting us know what her schedule would be each day and we would recommend her to anyone who needs a house sitter for their dogs. Thanks, Cat!”

18. Elise L.
“Elise would be a great sitter. She is playful with our dogs and is always welcomed by them when she visits. Their wagging tails and excitement to "go for a walk" is always a fun time. She brushes their fur and plays catch with them for long periods of time in-between cuddling and walks. Elise is great with dogs. She's been a friend to our fur-babies for.over almost 15 years. We have two dogs (Sequoia who turned 15 & Juniper who is 5 years old) who have benefited from the care and Love Elise has shown them. Thanks for your time. Woof! -Jaime”

19. Jose P.

“Jose has always shown compassion towards all animals, and he has proven himself as a great caregiver. When he watches dogs, he is sure to give them attention and fulfill every need they have.”

20. Cassandra M.
About: I have owned a few dogs in my lifetime and as of 5 years ago I started caring for my neighbors’ dogs all throughout Davis! I typically stay the night and give them playtime in the backyard or walks.. whatever is needed, I’m there. I have experience with administering oral medication to dogs. I’m a recent UC Santa Cruz graduate with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and I’m currently looking for wildlife technician jobs as well as applying to grad school. I’m a part time caregiver at the moment so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I make sure to ask all the right questions in case of emergency and for the comfort of the pets. I like to get written lists of everything that needs to be done while the owners are away, this helps with any clarifying questions I may have!
