About: We are excellent dog, cat, bird, poultry, reptile, and fish caretakers as we have raised most of these, and a few years ago, we had a thriving Rover business taking care of folks' animal babies. We can take care of medications if your pet needs: We have administered medicine to most of the animals on our list, including oral medication for a rooster and injections for a snake. We have had some experience in training our current dog as a service animal. While we have not had the chance to care for farm animals on our own, we love them and have had experience being around them (horses, sheep, goats, cows, pigs, alpaca). Animals, plants, gardens, farms, and home-care are all in our wheelhouse and are the foundations to our lives. If you are looking to have your fur baby stay with us, we have a large home with a fenced backyard. Our German Shepherd loves to play with other dogs, and we take him and our guests to local dog parks or fenced fields to play ball and or frisbee. We take care of our guests exactly how we want our pup to be taken care of! I work part time remotely and part time I will need to be in the field. What that means is a lot of the time, I will be in the home, hanging with your furry, feathered, or scaly baby, working on my laptop. During the times I need to work outside of the home, my 19 year old daughter (who has been doing Rover with me since she was 11) will give the best care in my place. I have a thriving Airbnb business in my home for over a decade, so I have a ton of experience and mindset on home-care: I treat other folks' pets and homes as well as I treat my own. I make it point to keep my clients connected via photos and updates. If I am providing boarding in my home, our 4 year old German Shepherd will love to play with your pup. If I am providing sitting in your home, then my pup will stay home unless requested for a playmate in your home.

About: My entire life, my family has had at least two dogs, so I'm very well versed and familiar with the care and attention that a variety of different dog breeds need to get. In addition, I have two kittens of my own, who are extremely well cared for. Animals are my passion in life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I can guarantee your fur babies will get all of the love, attention, and care in the world while I'm watching them. I'm a student and work part-time, so I'm busy but have a schedule that easily allows me to check in on your pets as-needed! I can check in frequently, spend hours with your pets, and sleep over if preferred. How I care for your pets depends on your personal instructions, boundaries, and expectations, and the specific needs of your pet, if applicable. I always closely follow all instructions and requests that I receive, so that I can best make your pet(s) comfortable and within their usual routines, and to best respect your home.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and I appreciate every minute I have with them and all animals. I’ve created my own dog walking business several years ago and gained lots of experience working with and observing the ways dogs function. I am currently Undergrad at UC Davis but use my free time to walk the dogs at Yolo County Animal Shelter. These days, I am working hard at school but appreciate the time I have with any animal! About: I am experienced with caring for all kinds of dogs. I have access to many dog parks and walk them up to 5 times a day. I adapt to the pet’s needs to give them the best care. I have a golden retriever (6 mo.) and a labradoodle (10 yrs). My golden (Sunny) is super friendly and loves to make friends! I ensure that your pet’s needs are met and they have the highest form of care. I’m a junior at the University of California, Davis. I have a flexible schedule with my course work that allows me to be fully engaged with the dogs in my care. I live in a gated community so pets can’t easily get out. I take my puppy on long walks at the Davis Arboretum and have a dog park where I live which ensures they are getting their exercise and playtime. My apartment is clean for health safety. If I am staying at the owner’s home, I will apply the owner’s directions.

About: I have cared for a wide range of animals since my childhood on a small family farm. I have bottle fed kittens to goats, trained puppies to ducks, and cared for little piglets to senior dogs. I also have some experience with medical procedures with dogs and cats, to farm animals. Experience with cats with diabetes, pets with blindness, deafness, and immobility. I enjoy caring for animals of all shapes and sizes and good care and enrichment is always my top priority! I like to check on my animals and animals I’m caring for a minimum of 3 times a day for 30 minutes each. With cats I like to spend time playing, setting up enrichment activities, and learning how they are most comfortable. With dogs I like to do a minimum of 3 walks a day followed by some of their favorite activities. I believe pets should be checked on morning, afternoon and evening at minimum. I like to follow the routine of the pets parents to a T so as to not disturb the pets while their families are gone. I think having a routine is important for a pet especially when their people/family are gone.

My dogs can be slow to warm up to new people, but it was love at first sight… although both have some separation anxiety, Mehma gives the calmest vibes and I think they really feel comfortable with her. About: My name is Bella, and I'm a UC Davis student with a genuine passion for caring for both animals and plants. At 16, I started pet sitting, which has given me experience caring for a wide variety of animals at all stages of life, from weaning kittens to senior pups. Whenever I have extra time in the day, I like to spend it with pets! As a newcomer to Davis, I'm hoping to incorporate pet sitting into my weekly routine while getting to know the community. My schedule is flexible, so I can accomodate to your pets needs. At the beginning of each visit, I make sure pets have a chance to go potty, then I check, wash, and refill their water bowls and follow any feeding or medication instructions provided. I like to keep a written checklist for every visit so I wont miss an important task! Once their basic needs are taken care of, I love spending time with them by playing, brushing, petting, or going on walks (only with owner approval and at appropriate temperatures!). Before heading out, I like to snap a cute photo and give updates so you (the owner) can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind.

About: I've had multiple dogs all my life (all shelter rescues of all sizes and temperaments) and cared for them up into their senior years. From unique feeding routines to walks/runs in the early morning, to fetch, tug-of-war, midday potty breaks, and cuddles, I've done it all! I've also raised and fostered several litters of rescue kittens to be adopted, from bottlefeeding to litterbox training and handling practice. I am well learned in cleaning litterboxes, prepping midday snacks, and providing love and attention for kitties of all ages. I provide runs and walks for various dogs several days a week and house-sit on occasion during the summer. I also drop in to play with, feed, or entertain dogs whose families are away for long periods of time during the day. Because each pet is unique, I ensure clear communication of expectations from the pet's family prior to any walking or sitting. I always carefully monitor pets for signs of stress, discomfort, or injury and am prepared to take action in the event of emergencies. I maintain regular communication with pet families when they're out of town (send pictures and updates of their pets) and organize my weekly walking schedule frequently to ensure convenience for both me and the client. As someone with pets and a love for animals, I hold myself to a high standard to make sure every animal is comfortable and thriving with any walk, run, or visit.

She has visited with my puppy before, and when Ally walked into the house, my puppy was overjoyed to see her! Ally is highly attuned to my dog's needs. She plays games, cuddles, feeds, and even trains my puppy. While she was with my puppy, she sent me photos and updates, which were such a comfort! My house was clean and organized when I came home almost nine hours later, and my puppy was happy and relaxed. Ally is a rare gem!”
