Dedicated Vet Student and Vet Tech

Hi pet parents! My name is Ly ( pronounced Lee) and I am a seasoned vet tech turned vet student at ISU! I know how stressful it can be to leave your furry (or feathery, scaly, or hoofed!) family members behind. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved. I have 9 years of experience working in critical care in ER and ICU settings, most recently at the UC Davis Veterinary Teaching Hospital, the #1 vet school in the country. I’m Fear Free Certified, CPR certified, and comfortable caring for pets of all ages with special needs or medical conditions. I also offer nail trimming drop- ins! Beyond my professional life, I’ve shared my home with all kinds of animals, including chickens, dogs, cats, tortoises, and even farm animals, so I understand how much each pet’s unique personality matters. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, medication, or just someone patient and gentle, I can help! Their happiness and safety will always be my top priority!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

Of course, caring for every pet is unique. I will work with you and your pet's usual schedule to ensure their needs and yours are being met to perfection! My time as an ER tech taught me the importance of being prepared and cautious, thus I do require parents to fill out my own version of an intake form, which basically outlines your pet's medical history, preferred veterinary ER, medical insurance information, emergency care cost approval, and at least 2 emergency contacts if I am unable to reach you. All of which is to ensure that I am best equip with the tools to get your pet the help they need as soon as possibly if an emergency should arise.

Ly took great care of our dog and our cat while we were away, and was especially patient and helpful with our dog who can be quite anxious.

My little tiny dog finally found someone who gets him. Ly took excellent care of my little buddy while we were gone. I never had to prompt her for pictures or updates , and she followed his care instructions to a T. We love Ly in this house!!

Ly was a real lifesaver! I just moved to FoCo and needed someone to make sure my sweet pup had some company while I ran around picking up furniture and supplies. Ly bonded with Axel immediately and they spent a fantastic day together! Would absolutely book with her again! ⭐️

Ly did a great job watching my pets will I was out of town. It’s always great when a pet sitter sends pics and updates without me having to ask for them! She asked all the right questions about how to best care for my pets which I appreciated. I had little to no cell service the entire time and was a peace knowing they were in the best hands! My dog being a silly golden retriever decided to roll around in the dirt while on a walk, she gave him a full bath and cleaned him up. She doesn’t take short cuts when watching pets which seems rare to find! Highly recommend.

Ly is an outstanding pet sitter! She went above and beyond to ensure my cat, Teddy, felt safe and comfortable while I was away. Her genuine care and attentiveness matched my own, which gave me great peace of mind. Thanks to her gentle demeanor and understanding of feline behavior, my typically shy cat warmed up to her right away—something that has never happened with a new person before. I highly recommend Ly to anyone looking for a compassionate and reliable sitter!

Schedule

I am currently a full time student with classes from 7 am- 5pm weekdays. I prefer check-ins and quality time vs overnight stays at the moment as I have a small older dog of my own. But am open to it for the right client. In the past, clients have allowed me to bring my pup along for overnight stays so please let me know if that is an option. Nonetheless, let me know your pet’s needs and I’ll try my best to help!

Please let me know if your pet has any special accommodations that I need to pay close attention to. I also require that I am left with a detailed document outlining your pet's medical history, preferred veterinary ER, medical insurance information, emergency care cost approval, and at least 2 emergency contacts if I am unable to reach you. I work in emergency medicine so I have seen how many pet sitting situations have took a turn for the worse so I want you to leave your pet in my care with the peace of mine they will be loved and cared for as if you never left!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
