“Misha was wonderful. She stepped in last-minute and was great to our pup, Scout, who was relaxed enough to nap during most of her house sitting situation. She sent several photos of our pets which was greatly appreciated!”

“Nora is a phenomenal sitter for our dog and our cat. It makes my time away from them so much easier when I know that she is there taking care of them.”

About: I have owned a few dogs in my lifetime and as of 5 years ago I started caring for my neighbors’ dogs all throughout Davis! I typically stay the night and give them playtime in the backyard or walks.. whatever is needed, I’m there. I have experience with administering oral medication to dogs. I’m a recent UC Santa Cruz graduate with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and I’m currently looking for wildlife technician jobs as well as applying to grad school. I’m a part time caregiver at the moment so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I make sure to ask all the right questions in case of emergency and for the comfort of the pets. I like to get written lists of everything that needs to be done while the owners are away, this helps with any clarifying questions I may have!

“We got introduced to Esmerilda through a mutual connection and from the moment we met her we knew she’d be a great fit for our felines! As an aspiring veterinarian, Esmerilda has great attention to detail and is confident in handling pets with special needs or complicated medical demands. We had her house/pet sit for us for 10 days while we were out of the country and never once did we have a worry about how things were going. It’s great that we have found our best friends’ new best friend!”

“We asked Carla to dogsit our golden doodle this weekend. She did a fantastic job from start to finish. Carla came.to our house to meet Teddy and become familiar with her personality. Carla communicated with us through out the weekend, updating us with pictures and short texts. It is common for Teddy not to eat while we are gone, but because Carla made her feel calm, she ate the first evening Carla came. Carla left our home clean and in order. We highly recommend her to you and will be calling her in the future.”

“Mackenzie was great! She took care of my needy old chihuahua all day. I 100% trust her with my dog again and hope she’ll be available in the future.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my deep-rooted experience and upbringing, being raised by two highly successful veterinarians. From a young age, I was exposed to a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, and fish, which gave me a diverse understanding of animal care. By age 10, I was already helping with feeding, walking, and cleaning up after the animals. My passion for animals led me to start my own pet sitting business at age 16, where I've built strong, trusting relationships with clients over the years. From caring for playful kittens of four months old to providing special senior care for dogs, I’m confident in my ability to care for animals with varying needs. I am currently working a part-time job in Davis, so I will have plenty of time to tend to the needs of your animal(s). My current schedule mostly has me working during the weekends and allows for lots of availability during the week. I take pride in following specific instructions to ensure a positive and comfortable environment for each animal. My problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with owners in unexpected situations are key strengths I bring to my work.

“Vita took care of my pup like he was her own! She took lots of pictures and I could really tell that he was well cared for. Lots of play and made sure he stayed cool and was well hydrated on a hot day. Would 100% recommend.”

Your pets safety and happiness are my top priorities. I can accommodate to meet your pets specific needs, ensuring that they are surrounded my love and care.

“Nicole was wonderful with our Aldo!!! She is a true dog lover and cared for him as if he was her own. She was also extremely flexible, when we had to ask her to come 6 hours earlier than the original scheduled start time!! Nicole made sure our boy had fun, got his allergy medication, and stayed busy to keep him from missing us too much which we so appreciate!! We will 100% be booking Nicole again ??”

“This is the 2nd time Mya has house/pet sat for us and I feel very comfortable with her in my home! And our skittish dog seems to be warming up to her, which is always a good sign!”

About: Worked at Guide Dogs of America, providing food, water, and bedding for animals while ensuring their comfort and safety. Monitored for signs of stress, followed strict handling protocols, and maintained a clean, sanitary environment. Keeping their space clean, whether it’s litter boxes, bedding, or food areas, is a priority. I also ensure the home stays secure and pets are safe, happy, and stress-free. About: From a young age, I’ve house sat various kinds of animals such as small and large dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and lovebirds for those who went on vacation. I also grew up taking care of a lot of different animals within my own household such as a large dog, cats, fish, hamsters, rats, and small snakes. I am currently taking a gap year between my bachelors and masters degree so I have plenty of flexibility with my schedule for animal care services. I know how to engage in safe play with cats and dogs and I also have experience with crating young energetic dogs from raising my family dog

About: I’ve had at least one dog in my household since the age of 5. I’ve handled different kinds of dog personalities, breeds, and sizes. Calm, reactive, old, young - I’ve seen it all! I’m currently the mom of 2 pit-mix rescues who are spoiled beyond belief. I regularly pet sit for friends, so I’m joining Rover to help out more people! I work full-time, Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a 1 hour lunch break. I work remotely twice a week and am in Woodland the other 3 days. I have the flexibility to do check-ins and short walks on my hour lunch break, and more during my remote work days and weekends. In my home, my 2 medium sized dogs are crate trained and get 2 walks per day. We live in an apartment so I am used to having to take them out to the bathroom. They are fed twice per day, 1 hour after returning from a walk. I am very aware of the risks of bloat in large breeds, so I always look out for that! When I dogsit for friends and family, I’ve seen varying needs depending on the dog’s personality. I understand dog reactivity and am sensitive towards the needs of each individual pup.
