4. Carla T.

“We asked Carla to dogsit our golden doodle this weekend. She did a fantastic job from start to finish. Carla came.to our house to meet Teddy and become familiar with her personality. Carla communicated with us through out the weekend, updating us with pictures and short texts. It is common for Teddy not to eat while we are gone, but because Carla made her feel calm, she ate the first evening Carla came. Carla left our home clean and in order. We highly recommend her to you and will be calling her in the future.”

8. Cassandra M.
About: I have owned a few dogs in my lifetime and as of 5 years ago I started caring for my neighbors’ dogs all throughout Davis! I typically stay the night and give them playtime in the backyard or walks.. whatever is needed, I’m there. I have experience with administering oral medication to dogs. I’m a recent UC Santa Cruz graduate with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and I’m currently looking for wildlife technician jobs as well as applying to grad school. I’m a part time caregiver at the moment so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I make sure to ask all the right questions in case of emergency and for the comfort of the pets. I like to get written lists of everything that needs to be done while the owners are away, this helps with any clarifying questions I may have!

9. Kendall D.
About: I’ve had at least one dog in my household since the age of 5. I’ve handled different kinds of dog personalities, breeds, and sizes. Calm, reactive, old, young - I’ve seen it all! I’m currently the mom of 2 pit-mix rescues who are spoiled beyond belief. I regularly pet sit for friends, so I’m joining Rover to help out more people! I work full-time, Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a 1 hour lunch break. I work remotely twice a week and am in Woodland the other 3 days. I have the flexibility to do check-ins and short walks on my hour lunch break, and more during my remote work days and weekends. In my home, my 2 medium sized dogs are crate trained and get 2 walks per day. We live in an apartment so I am used to having to take them out to the bathroom. They are fed twice per day, 1 hour after returning from a walk. I am very aware of the risks of bloat in large breeds, so I always look out for that! When I dogsit for friends and family, I’ve seen varying needs depending on the dog’s personality. I understand dog reactivity and am sensitive towards the needs of each individual pup.

10. Gabriella G.
“Gabriella has a super special place in her heart for animals! She is very caring and is always concerned for their well being from feeding to grooming and of course providing enormous amounts of love and attention 🥰. A bit of an animal whisper at times.”

11. Yessel J.
“I can't recommend Yessel highly enough as a pet sitter and dog walker! Yessel takes care of my dog, Allie, with exceptional dedication and love. Every time she comes over, it's clear how much she adores Allie. Yessel showers her with so much love and attention, always playing with her and making sure she feels happy and cared for. It's evident that her passion for animals shines through in every interaction with Allie. Yessel is responsible, and reliable, and goes above and beyond to ensure Allie is well-exercised and entertained. I couldn't ask for a better person to look after my beloved pet. If you're looking for someone who truly loves animals and provides top-notch care, Yessel is the perfect choice!”

12. Esmerilda R.
“Esmerilda took excellent care of our girl who can be a little shy. She arrived exactly in time and sent frequent updates and pictures during the evening. We will definately contact Esmerilda when we need help again!”

19. Sunny M.
About: I have babysat my family member’s pets for the last 2 years. I love animals, I have 2 dogs of my own who I love dearly. My Chihuahua is 12 years olds and my Pomeranian mix is 3 years old. I had taken in my Pomeranian mix puppy from someone I know because they couldn’t care for her like she should be and have had her for a year now. Animals have a special place in my heart and I would love to care and love all of them like I’ve known them for years. We can workout a schedule and I could go around what your schedule is like. I do have another job, but I will always be willing to figure things out to helps with both our schedules. I take my pets on walks or adventure to the lake or the park. I feed them 3 times a day and play with them whenever they want to. Right now they currently don’t live with me because I moved down here for school, but that is their usually routine at home. For my clients I do pop in and out to feed and take out their pets and babysit them whenever they are out of town or busy. I make sure the pets are happy and healthy when I check up on them.

20. Cheyenne C.
“Cheyenne is a great pet owner and reliable sitter, with vast experience across many animals such as cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, and other farm animals, When I left town, Cheyenne stepped in and watched my cat for me a few times. When I returned from my trips, my cat was in a great mood and my home cleaner than when I left it. They should be your top pick when choosing a sitter, and very easy to communicate with.”
