5. Cassandra M.
About: I have owned a few dogs in my lifetime and as of 5 years ago I started caring for my neighbors’ dogs all throughout Davis! I typically stay the night and give them playtime in the backyard or walks.. whatever is needed, I’m there. I have experience with administering oral medication to dogs. I’m a recent UC Santa Cruz graduate with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and I’m currently looking for wildlife technician jobs as well as applying to grad school. I’m a part time caregiver at the moment so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I make sure to ask all the right questions in case of emergency and for the comfort of the pets. I like to get written lists of everything that needs to be done while the owners are away, this helps with any clarifying questions I may have!

6. Vita Q.

“Vita took care of my pup like he was her own! She took lots of pictures and I could really tell that he was well cared for. Lots of play and made sure he stayed cool and was well hydrated on a hot day. Would 100% recommend.”

She was also extremely flexible, when we had to ask her to come 6 hours earlier than the original scheduled start time!! Nicole made sure our boy had fun, got his allergy medication, and stayed busy to keep him from missing us too much which we so appreciate!! We will 100% be booking Nicole again ??”

16. Kendall D.
About: I’ve had at least one dog in my household since the age of 5. I’ve handled different kinds of dog personalities, breeds, and sizes. Calm, reactive, old, young - I’ve seen it all! I’m currently the mom of 2 pit-mix rescues who are spoiled beyond belief. I regularly pet sit for friends, so I’m joining Rover to help out more people! I work full-time, Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a 1 hour lunch break. I work remotely twice a week and am in Woodland the other 3 days. I have the flexibility to do check-ins and short walks on my hour lunch break, and more during my remote work days and weekends. In my home, my 2 medium sized dogs are crate trained and get 2 walks per day. We live in an apartment so I am used to having to take them out to the bathroom. They are fed twice per day, 1 hour after returning from a walk. I am very aware of the risks of bloat in large breeds, so I always look out for that! When I dogsit for friends and family, I’ve seen varying needs depending on the dog’s personality. I understand dog reactivity and am sensitive towards the needs of each individual pup.

17. Mya S.

“Mya was wonderful with our furry crew! Mya sent us daily videos, this allowed us to enjoy our time away knowing they were being well cared for. I would definitely use Mya again!”

18. Alexa Y.
About: I grew up with pets (dogs, cats, exotics) my entire life and quickly took on the responsibility of caring for them at a young age. This passion led me down the path of pursuing Veterinary Medicine. Throughout high school I volunteered at my local animal shelter and also independently studied dog training. Through the use of positive reinforcement I have successfully trained my own two dogs as well as friends' and family members' dogs. During my undergraduate years, I was a veterinary assistant at an animal hospital in Southern, California. There I learned technical skills such as administering vaccines, collecting blood samples, and giving oral and injectable medications. I am currently a first year vet student at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where I’m continuing my journey to help animals live healthier, happier lives. Whether it’s walking, training, or giving your pet a little extra TLC, you can trust they’ll be in knowledgeable and loving hands with me. I am currently a first year veterinary student, so everyday I have a combination of lectures and labs. However, my schedule tends to fluctuate a lot and for the most part provides me flexibility. I am free most weekdays and weekends -with proper notice- for dog walking, pet check ins, house sitting, etc. I am well versed in dog and cat behavior and training. I am comfortable tailoring to your pets usual routine and comfort level. My goal is to make them as comfortable as they are when you are home!

19. Joon K.

“Joon was great! She sent updates during the stay. Our dog who is usually pretty indifferent to dog sitters LOVED her and cried when she left!”

20. Tammi C.

“We adopted Elvin from an animal shelter two years ago. He apparently was abandoned on the street. Because of the emotional trauma, Elvin has separation anxiety and depression. Previously, with another dog sitter, Elvin completely refused going to walk and potty for 3-4 day, and our vacation was a complete ruined, where we ended up changing a flight schedule to come home earlier than the original plan. Going for vacation seems like an impossible dream of ours because of Elvin’s emotional issues. We asked Tammi’s help, and by the 2nd day, Elvin was able to warm up to her and he did go outside for potty. This was like a miracle. Now, we can consider having another vacation. Thank you so much Tammi for your patience and effort to help Elvin!”
