“I cannot say enough nice things about our experience with Silvia. My dog absolutely loves her and she did a wonderful job dog sitting and house sitting while we were away. I highly recommend her.”

About: Hi, I’m Courtney! I’m based right in CDM steps from Crystal Cove, and I absolutely love what I do. My days are spent walking the coast, hiking the trails, and giving dogs the kind of attention and care that actually makes a difference. It’s genuinely my favorite part of my day. I’ve had dogs of my own for 15+ years and have experience with a wide range of breeds I can read body language, understand what a dog needs in the moment, and adjust on the fly. I have a special love for working breeds and high-energy dogs who actually want to do something on a walk. I work from home running a wellness business, so your dog gets real time and presence not someone rushing between jobs. Walks with me mean actual coastal adventures: Crystal Cove trails, Little Corona Beach, tide pool paths with ocean views. I’m an early riser, I keep a consistent schedule, and I pay attention to how your dog is feeling that day. My home is calm, clean, and non-toxic that’s just how I live. Good energy, no chaos, and plenty of cozy spots to decompress between adventures. You’ll get photos and updates so you always know they’re happy and well. I keep my roster small because I actually want to know your dog their quirks, their favorite spots, what makes them light up. Whether you need a reliable daily walker or someone to love on them while you travel, I’d love to meet them! 🐾 Working from home in my fitness & nutrition business means pets get constant attention and care. It's a daily dose of exercise and joy that complements my healthy lifestyle. Walks, fetch, or just quiet moments, pets make my day and yours brighter! When it comes to pet care, it's all about their turf. I'm a firm believer in maintaining their routine at home, where they're comfy and happy. I seamlessly fit into their schedule, whether it's mealtime, playtime, or cuddle time. Rest assured, your pet's happiness and well-being are my top priorities!
“Kirk was amazing with our dog Baxter. He stayed at our place and was very communicative about how Baxter was doing. He took Baxter out for all his favorite walks and made sure Baxter was feeling loved. He left our place spotless when he left and we could tell Baxter was happy. We will use Kirk again and again. He is great.”

“Gina was great, can't recommend her enough! It's always a little stressful having a new sitter stay with George but she was excellent. We received nightly updates with lots of pictures and she followed all of our instructions. We returned to a clean house and happy dog. Thank you so much!”

“Cierra is incredible. We were able to enjoy a long weekend out of town while Cierra was taking care of our large breed Husky. Wow. She sent photo updates and texts. She took our girl for daily walks. And she left our home in clean, immaculate condition. When we got home our pup was waiting for us very happy, content and totally non-stressed. Having her on the job made our getaway worry-free. Cierra is the first person we will call the next time we need a caregiver for our pets.”

“Abbie was fantastic staying in our home with my two little chihuahuas. She always kept me updated on their day and sent pictures. I came home to two happy well cared for dogs and the home just as I left it. I’ll be rebooking with Abbie again, thank you so much!”

“Candace is a great communicator & took great care of our dog and our home! We really appreciate how punctual she is and her attention to details with our dogs meds. Thank you Candace!”

“This was our first experience using Rover, and Jordan was so wonderful to work with! Our girl, Teddi, unexpectedly needed dental surgery shortly before we traveled from Denver to Newport Beach for my brother’s wedding, and I ended up driving her with me so I could continue caring for her while she healed. It was also Teddi’s first vacation staying in a hotel, and we weren’t sure how she would do in the room without us. Since the hotel had us agree not to leave dogs unattended, we didn’t want to chance it and found ourselves looking for help pretty last minute. Needless to say, we were in a bit of a stressed state with all of this going on, especially during a wedding weekend! Jordan was so communicative, flexible, and helpful in figuring out a plan that worked for us. Teddi stayed with her during our evening events while we were still able to handle her morning care ourselves, and Jordan even brought her back to our hotel after the wedding! We felt completely comfortable with Teddi in her care, including keeping up with her nighttime meds, which really allowed us to relax and actually be present for such a special weekend. It was such a blessing that Jordan was available, and it’s clear she has a heart for dogs. We’re so grateful we found her & will absolutely call her the next time we’re visiting Newport with Teddi!”

Please message me if you have any questions! Thank you! I use the utmost care for all animals and their surroundings, and will do a meet and greet beforehand to make sure everyone is comfortable!
“Libby was very friendly and really had a lot of knowledge and experience with cats. I was able to travel and feel that Rae was well attended to. She took great care and gave her lots of attention. I highly recommend her.”

“Mackenzie is awesome! My cat is a little scaredy cat but she really got her out of her shell within the week she watched her. She was a really great communicator with me everyday and left my house looking just as I left it. 10/10 would work with Mackenzie again :)”

“5 stars. 10/10 - 100% perfect score for Katherine. She went above and beyond in so many instances for us and our dogs during her stay. She watched our two dogs (one 10, and one 7 months) for 7 days in our home. Our older dog who is normally a vision of health caught a bacterial infection and was occasionally vomiting and had diarrhea for 3-4 days. Katherine was up multiple times a night taking her out and trying to make her comfortable. She ultimately took her to the vet for me, and got her some antibiotics. She immediately improved. Not to mention she took excellent care of our puppy who is a handful herself. Katherine is detailed oriented, knowledgeable, extremely safe and cautious, professional and hard working. Not to mention, she really just loves animals. I will 100% be hiring Katherine again.”

Amerys was AMAZING! I left Scout with her while I was in Newport for a wedding, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She was incredibly communicative, flexible, and went above and beyond by helping coordinate Scout’s pickup and drop-off since I wasn’t able to drive after the wedding. This was the first time I had left Scout since her cancer diagnosis 19 months ago, so I was very nervous. Amerys’s communication was honestly 20/10 and gave me so much peace of mind. She kept me updated, was so attentive to Scout, and made the entire experience feel easy and stress-free. I’m so grateful I found her and would absolutely book with her again. If I’m ever back in Newport, she will 100% be the first person I reach out to! Highly recommend Amerys! ❤️
Miranda house sat for our cat for 10 days and she was amazing! She was available last minute when our other sitter cancelled. She was very communicative throughout the stay, sending us numerous photos and videos every day. She also spent a significant amount of time with our cat each day and even watered our plants for us! Wonderful sitter, would highly recommend

Roxanne and Eduardo take such good care of our older golden! We have used them several times and highly recommend them. We were particularly thankful for the good care this weekend as we were away at our son‘s wedding. It was so nice to have a reliable pet sitter!

Alyssa took wonderful care of my two pups, with periodic updates on their walks, meals and how their day went. Lots of photos too, which put me at ease. She was easy to communicate with, and she set up a meet and greet so the pups could get to know her prior to the sit.

Valerie is AMAZING! She provided great care for our sweet pup while we were out of town. So much so that we’ve already booked her again twice! She stayed in our home and took great care of the house, too. She sent lots of photos of our pup and our dog was so happy when we got home. Highly recommend!

Camden is absolutely terrific and I can not express enough thanks for the phenomenal care she provided while I was away. She house sat at my place for 9 days with Rowan while I was on a cruise. This was my first time I had been away that long so was nervous and not only that but Rowan had come down with pancreatitis the week I was leaving but was a few days on his medication and was almost fully better. Two days into my trip; however, Rowan’s health turned downward out of nowhere and he got extremely sick. He went from eating, drinking, being his playful normal self to not even wanting to move. Camden coordinated with Rowan’s primary vet as well as myself to provide him the urgent care he needed to get him better. She went above and beyond and I am so thankful to her. Camden is without a doubt who you want to take care of your animal and who will provide them with the same level of care and love as you would. I have the utmost trust in her abilities. Thank you, Camden!!!! Rowan misses you already.

Vi is awesome! She is very sweet with our very old kitty and our two pups. We were on a trip when our kitty got sick and Vi managed the situation perfectly. She treated him with loving care until we returned home (he’s okay). She is thorough and pays attention to detail. The best part about her is that our pets love her.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Corona del Mar walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Corona del Mar maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Corona del Mar choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
