About: I’m the drop off center for all of my family’s crazy critters and fur balls! You won’t have to worry about making your baby feel at home when with me :) I’m currently out of college and in search for a long term job, so I really have all the time in the world! In the meantime, I would love to spend time with more cute companions. My pets at home live very leisurely, they are all sleepyheads who love to come out when the action begins -and love to get into people’s business and space, which I’m all in support for.

About: I'm a theatre teacher and dog lover and with school out for the summer, I have some extra time and energy to spend it keeping your furry family member happy, safe, and loved while you're away! As an educator, I bring patience, attentiveness, and a strong sense of responsibility to pet care. Whether it’s energetic walks, relaxing cuddle time, or sticking to special routines, I tailor each visit to your pet’s unique personality and needs. You can count on me for: 🎭 Daily walks, playtime, and enrichment 🐾 Drop-ins, house sitting, or overnight care 🦴 Feeding, meds, and updates with adorable photos 🏠 Respectful, tidy care of your home during visits I co-parent a sweet rescue Pitanese named Atlas, but he will not be present in my home when your dog(s) come to stay. I will only care for one dog family in my home at a time (up to 2 dogs.) As a devoted dog parent, I know how important it is to trust someone with your family member(s), and I’d be honored to provide a reliable, loving presence while you’re away. Let’s connect—I can’t wait to meet your furry family! I will be off from my teaching job throughout much of the summer, so will have a very flexible schedule to spend with your pet(s)! I live in the bottom unit of a duplex home and have full access to a fully fenced in yard. My upstairs neighbor has a dog, but doesn't use the yard with his dog and exits through a separate entrance. I'm a gardener, so your dog will always be supervised while playing in the yard. We live near trails and a park, so there is plenty of opportunity for enrichment on walks as well. I allow my dog on the sofa, but if this is not a habit you want your dog to pick up, I will follow those instructions. I have past experience giving oral medication, caring for senior dogs, puppies, and dogs in recovery from an injury.

“Teresa takes such great care of Sport when she goes on walks! She makes sure to ask about the small details and is very respectful of our home and Sport’s preferences! Thanks so much Teresa!”

About: I've been around dogs and cats my whole life. We had 2 dogs and 2 cats when I was growing up. I've been walking dogs since I was little. And I know all the dogs in my neighborhood on a first name basis. I work from home and generally have plenty of time throughout the day for walks and cuddles. I do go into the office once a week, usually on Wednesdays. I have a big backyard that's mostly fenced in (each of my surrounding neighbors have fences). There's plenty of room throughout my entire house for your little baby to make themselves at home

“Ari & Nihita are great! Communicative about when they are coming to take Beau for his walk, and leave great updates about how it goes-including pictures of how it went.”

“Megan was amazing! She is a very warm a caring human. I was nervous at first because I had never used Rover but Megan made it feel easy. Rupert is like a child to us so it was important to have someone we trusted come into our home. Megan is that person.”

About: i have always been around animals and I love them so much! i’ve had 5 different dogs throughout my lifetime, both during my childhood and up until just a few years ago, and i currently have a cat named zuri. that being said, i am a cat person as equally as i am a dog person, but having a dog of my own just isn’t realistic for my life right now! my schedule is fairly flexible and I am willing to work with yours :-) i work a hybrid remote/in-person job and have a bit of flexibility in my schedule. evenings and lunch hours are the best times for me, and i’m also around most weekends! i try to keep my calendar on the Rover app up to date, but feel free to message with questions. i do have a 10 y/o cat that will be around if you choose to board your dog — just something to consider prior to booking! meet and greets are always a good idea, but i’ll let you make that decision!

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs over the years. I currently have a 1 and half year old dog so I’m very comfortable with puppies. I also helped take care of my older family dog so also able to help with senior care as well. I work from home Monday, Thursday, and Fridays and am available on the weekends to take care of your dog. During my time at home, I have ample time to drive to your house or take care of dogs at my house whichever is more comfortable for you. I have a fenced in backyard. I also have a super friendly dog who loves making new friends and would be happy keeping your dog company. I also have a large crate that I can put up if needed for the dog as well.

About: I am a very active pet sitter for all of my family and friends. I love being active and showing pets all the love they deserve! I currently have a full time job, but I can be very flexible on the weekends. Send me your pet needs and we can work out the rest! I have a cat of my own, that loves to play and cuddle! So I know how to be a responsible pet parent and I will treat your fur babies like they are one of my own!

“Shawntil is a gem. So happy when she drops in to take care of my 3 pups. 💗”

About: I am a dog mom to the best boy, Duke! Duke is a 115 lb Great Dane mix, but he is a gentle giant and gets along with most other animals. Duke is use to meeting lots of new dogs and does well with most personality types. He does need slow introductions when meeting new dogs to ensure success. Currently I work from home full-time and have been volunteering through a dog rescue fostering dogs. I love taking care of dogs and puppies, helping to find their forever homes! I have taken care of some very special dogs, for lengths of time from 2 days to 2 months. I have experience in fostering and dog sitting both puppies and full grown dogs. I frequently have fosters at my home so my availability to pet sit may be dependent on your dog’s needs or if I currently have a foster. If you have any questions, please let me know! I work from home full-time and have other part-time responsibilities outside of the home. Dogs are like kids and do best keeping to a standard routine, so I will try my best to mimic the routine they are used to! My dog Duke is fed breakfast and dinner and goes for bathroom breaks after both. He also likes to spend time outside in the yard/on the deck when weather permits. I have a fenced yard but supervise animals when they are in the yard. We try to take frequent walks, weather permitting.

About: I get such joy from animal care and am excited to meet you & your fur baby! I have experience befriending cats, dogs, horses, fish and even amphibians (frogs, geckos, salamanders, axolotls). I’m an avid birdwatcher so I also wouldn’t shy away from an opportunity to take care of a feathered friend. I do best with friendly dogs who are already trained (potty, leash, and behavior) and all types of cats (see Cat Care Details for more info). I’m currently in-between jobs this summer so I have time during the week (generally between 9am-9pm). My exercise plan includes dog walking to really get my steps in. When caring for your pet(s) I will treat them - and your home - like they’re my own. I’m dependable, responsible, trustworthy and responsive, and I want you to feel comfortable knowing that your fur baby is in good hands with me.

Columbia Heights dog parents share their Rover experiences
Lucia is so kind and caring. She does a wonderful job walking Rufus and is good at communicating too.

Kelsey was super great! Came to do a meet and greet quickly after contacting her, and helped us out on fairly short notice with our 5 month old pup. She is really kind and sweet with the animals. Super appreciated her help and will be using her again :-)

Emmelene has been so wonderful with Brewtus!! He loves when she comes to get him and responds to her well. So lucky to have found her!!

Kimberlee was so great to work with for a walk with Beau! She communicated quickly, which was helpful as this was a last minute booking and made me feel confident that I could rely on her. She was responsive to all the instructions that I left, came right at the agreed upon time and gave updates on how Beau did on the walk including some photos of how happy he looked to be out and about. If you are looking for someone to help with your pup I would highly recommend!

Meghan was perfect for walking my pup while I was recovering. She was always right on time and gave great updates. And Koda just loves her - she would literally wait at the door when she knew it was almost time. Highly recommend and would use again!

We have been working with Tiya for a few weeks now. She is always on time and very responsive. Our dog loves seeing her for a walk :)

Christy is a fantastic pet sitter! She was great with my dog and my two cats and is always very communicative and kind.
