As an adult, I spent six wonderful years caring for my own Standard Poodle, which taught me the nuances of high-energy breeds, regular grooming needs, and the importance of daily mental stimulation. I don't live far from my office, so on the days I work in the office, I can come home for walks. When hosting pets in my home, my top priority is creating a safe, welcoming, and calm environment. I believe that a dog’s comfort comes from consistency and genuine care, which is why I prioritize maintaining your pet's established routines regarding feeding, exercise, and rest. My home is perfectly set up for active and happy dogs. We have a decent-sized, secure yard for quick outdoor play, and we are located in a highly walkable neighborhood with easy access to local parks and trails, perfect for daily sniff-and-stretch walks. What makes my home unique is that your pet will be part of our family. My 4-year-old child is a huge animal lover who enjoys helping with gentle care, like supervised playtime and giving treats. Because my child is so involved, I am very intentional about ensuring that every dog I host is comfortable around children and that interactions are always calm, supervised, and positive. Whether it’s a quiet afternoon of belly rubs or an energetic walk on a nearby trail, I ensure every guest feels right at home. About: Pets are my life, I grew up with cats, dogs and even reptiles. I’ve been taking care of all types and sizes of pets my whole life they are my passion & love. I’m currently a stay-at-home pet mom so my schedule is widely available, I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your dogs and cats. About: Dogs have always been apart of my life, as I always had a dog growing up and at one point owned 5 dogs. To me having 5 dogs is no different than having 1, as long as you have enough love to go around. All they want to do is love you and make you happy, so how can you not love them in return. I have 3 dogs of my own right now and enjoy spending time with them. I probably spoil them as they know when I come home with bags that there is more than likely a treat or toy for them. About: I've had dogs almost my entire life and have been taking care of the dogs of friends and family for the past 11 years. This ranges from absolute cuddle bug Yorkies to energetic labs. I work from 6-3:30 Sunday through Thursday, but making sure that the animals in my care have a regular schedule as best fits around that is key. First thing in the morning I'd be making sure the animals in my care have access to food and water and taken outside to do their business as applicable. Once I get home I recheck food and water needs and take care of their play and exercise needs. I have a fenced in yard and depending on the animal's needs, they can be crated or allowed to roam around the house. The specifics may vary depending on the type of pet and the owner's preferences or special instructions.

About: I’ve taken in many animals in need and got them supplies and environments they needed. I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, bearded dragons, sugar gliders, turtles, and snakes in my past. I currently have two cats and one dog. I work from home so I can make some times others can’t due to working out of the home. I’m not always busy on the weekends and can help take care of your fur/non fur babies. Water, walks, bathroom needs, feeding, and some medicine applications. I like to give lots of cuddles to animas who want it and I typically leave shy animas alone unless I am approached. Always start with hand sniffs before applying pets.

About: My family’s had a cat since I was 8 years old. Me and my siblings mostly took care of her so due to that I have more of a co-op care with her, but I’ve pet sat multiple times for my friends and family! I make sure to try and go above and beyond for their little fur babies I’m currently in college working to get my degree in Graphic Design. I’m out of a job at the moment which means I have plenty of time to take care of your precious fur babies! :3 Since I have one family cat she is very well taken care of by me and my family. Someone always makes sure she has food and clean water to drink, as well as annual vet check-ups since she’s reaching her little senior years..! But I am the designated pet sitter for my close friends and family. I make sure to stick to whatever routine they have set for their pets! I make sure to take dogs on longer walks or an extra walk a tad more in the evening when the sun is still up since I’m an art major which means spending hours on art projects..!

About: I’ve always had a strong connection with all pets I come into contact with and all my friends and family say I’m an “animals whisperer” because they are drawn to me and feel comfortable with me instantly. I’ve pet/house sat as well as dog walked for so many friends over the years, that I’m their first source of contact when they need someone to do the job. For a long time I did it for free even when offered money just because I love the company of animals, but then I started to get asked to do it so much it turned closer to a full time job. I love animals so much that spending time with them doesn’t feel like work, it feels like second nature. I love giving animals attention and seeing them happy. I haven’t had my own pet for about 7 years now because having roommates , but in my life I’ve had multiple cats & dogs of my own and also rats, a hamster, and a rabbit. I’ve pet sat a bearded dragon. As a vegan, I know how important respecting other species is. Animals are innocent sentient beings. I set my price based on some factors not listed including; (copied/pasted from forum) Rover takes 20% of my total booking amount, which would reflect any adjustments/discounts given to clients. For example if the client pays $60 for an overnight , I am only keeping $48 for that service . The fee that the owner pays is 5-7% of the booking cost added to the total cost, and the owner side service fee caps at $25, so it isn't "double" it is just that both the sitter and the owner have fees. The owners see the service fee when they pay so they are fully aware of the fee. I work from home and in the community , so doing in house sitting is very easy for me I usually work from home (hybrid) most days I am gone between 2 to 4-8 hours this varies ; at my regular job my clients sometimes reschedule to different days or times when they have things come up, they get sick, or with holidays . So typically before and after seeing clients I am working from home and can snuggle the pups/cats . I (typically) need a few weeks or 1/1.5 months notice for bookings but especially for longer stays but prefer that it is not more than 2-3 months in advance. you can ask that far out but I can’t guarantee I can commit that far out. ***If you are leaving for your trip early morning before 10AM , hide a key, use a lock box, Or please tell me your garage code day of. Otherwise I am sometimes driving 40minutes -1 hour without any pay or gas money just to get your key ahead of time. If you prefer to do the key ahead of time you can meet me at a public place to give it to me or I can let you know if I happen to be driving through your area ahead of time which isn’t always a thing but maybe. Because I cannot currently have outside pets in my place of living and because animals feel a lot less anxious when they are in their own home, I mostly pet sit at owners houses overnights and bring my own food for the stay. When I dog walk I want to avoid hot pavement on their paws in hot Weather: I take all weather advisories seriously! * When the heat index is 90 degrees, walks will be cut short for your pet's safety and for my own. We will use up the remaining time getting pets and belly rubs or playing in doors. Walks may be early or delayed depending on the forecast. Your flexibility is appreciated. This goes for cold weather as well in winter. * In winter for drop in visits: if the temperatures dip below 20 degrees we may need to talk about turning our walk in to a drop-in visit. I will always communicate with my dog owners if a change of plan is necessary due to dangerous weather and temperatures." I also have an issue where my body doesn’t regulate temperatures well both cold/heat.

About: I've loved animals all my life. I got my first puppy when I was about 13 years old, full of pre-teen enthusiasm for learning all about dog behavior and puppy training strategies. Now that my own beloved dog is no longer with us, I've found myself wishing I had more opportunities to connect with animals on a regular basis. I've taken every chance I could to pet sit for friends and acquaintances over the years, but recently I realized that I could also be using Rover to make pet care a more regular part of my life! Since I'm also meant to share something here that makes me "stand out" as a sitter, I'll say that animals do tend to feel particularly safe and relaxed around me. If I were to take a guess as to why that is, I think I would say that it's probably a combination of: 1) genuinely loving pets and wanting to have a positive interaction with them, 2) not bringing anxious energy into the room, which I think is something that most pets can sense, and 3) knowing enough about animal behavior to not escalate any existing anxieties or aggression. As someone who has had a beloved pet, I know how important it is to find someone to care for your pet that you can trust to accommodate their particular needs, and to create a safe, happy environment for them while you're away. If you'll trust me to be that person, then nothing would make me happier than to give your pet an amazing visit, walk, or staycation! I work full time (8 hours M-F) in Arden Hills, but I have a fairly flexible work schedule. My preference for pet care would be to mostly fit it in before and after work (my hours can usually be adjusted based on a pet's daily schedule), but I also have the flexibility to pop out for short walks in the middle of the day, if needed. I can also work from home if absolutely necessary, but I would not wish to do that frequently. I am not able to host pets in my home at this time, but if I can come and care for your pets at their own home, I am happy to follow whatever instructions you give for how to make your pet feel happy and safe and cared for during your absence! I am a careful instruction follower, so I will refer back to any information you can give me about what your pet is accustomed to when you are home, and how you would like me to care for them when you're gone. If you feel nervous at all about leaving them, I'm also more than happy to send regular updates to you about how they are doing!
