“Jessica has been so great with Phil! He needs to stretch his legs during our longer work days and Jess has been wonderful! She has given us the peace of mind as we transition to working out of the home full time!”

About: I have taken care of a variety of dogs throughout my life. I grew up with a reactive dog and can recognize signs that a reaction may occur. I am available before and after work during the week to help walk your dog! On weekends I can do drop ins and walks as needed. I have lots of walking trails and areas to walk dogs near my house. My dog gets at least 2 walks every day so I love to walk around the block!
About: Hello! My name is Andy, and I have many years of experience loving and taking care of all sorts of animals! Over the years, my family has had a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, fish, and bunnies—and we’ve also watched many, many more than that short-term. We are familiar with many types of animals and feel comfortable following your specific instructions for their care. I love animals of all kinds and will treat your pets lovingly with the care you expect and deserve. Spoiling your pet with a lot of love and personalized attention while keeping them safe and secure are my main goals as your pet sitter. I will be as active or relaxed as your dog needs- anything your dog requires for a safe and happy stay, I will gladly provide. I strive to always carefully follow your instructions. I am an animal advocate with extensive animal handlers and training experience. For many years, I have worked as an animal volunteer and foster parent for animals to be adopted. I have a soft spot for dogs of all kinds, and over the years have personally adopted spaniels, terriers, doodles, shepherds, and cats. I promise to treat your pet as if it is my own, play with it, give it tons of attention and love, and make sure it is fed and comfy while in my care. I have cared for my neighbors and friends pets for the past 30 years. I'm known by all as being a loving pet mom. I am looking forward to meeting you and your pet(s) soon! I am available daily for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. I have experience training dogs and working with rescued animals. Our family dogs are rescues and fosters, and they were trained and cared for by me. They are now certified therapy animals. Also, I feel comfortable giving medications and caring for older animals or those with special needs. I have experience working with animals that need extra attention or care due to a rough past or neglect. As their foster mom, my dogs are rescues that came from neglectful situations and had to be nursed back to health. Both have undergone amazing transformations and are happy, healthy, loving, and playful now. I’ve taken care of many very small dogs and understand their specific needs intimately, as my family owns a number of small pets—and I’ve taken care of larger dogs and understand their needs and likes too, as I’ve supervised the maturation and training of several larger dogs. Speaking of training—I’m confident with pets of any level of training! In fact, if anything I’m something of a good influence on untrained animals, owing to my experience training animals over the years. Pets, especially clever pets, love to get a command correct and get a treat for it! As far as more “exotic” pets, I’m comfortable with a lot! I think animals are fascinating and love to meet new ones—even in elementary school I was one of the kids who took care of our class animals, including our snakes (a rainbow boa and a constrictor), and our iguana (aptly named “Iggy”)—so I’m not afraid of interesting animal friends! I’ll gladly watch your peafowl or your domesticated fox or your ferret, and I’ll take care of it like it was my own. We would love to connect with you at a meet and greet or schedule a play date at a park to get to know you. I'm available every day of the week to walk, house sit, or drop-in on your pets. I enjoy playing with and photographing the animals I care for, giving treats, and reinforcing training. I all love animals and think of our pets as members of our family. We will treat your pet as if they are one of the family too, with much love, cuddles, and stimulating play! I am a photographer and used to work at a pet kennel, but recently moved, so I am available daily for any service you require. I will follow any instructions you leave very carefully, and will communicate with you multiple times daily to let you know how your pets are doing. My schedule is flexible and I'm ready to accommodate your pet care needs, and will send you photos of your happy pet as often as you like! I am currently working from home and am able to dedicate a lot of time to care for your pets!

About: I grew up with dogs, and miss them dearly in my life! Friends, neighbors and family have relied on me for years to take care of their pets: while away traveling, or in hardships. From closely monitoring my friend's cat after surgery when she couldn't call off work, to weeklong stays in family homes with rambunctious puppies, I've done it all. I've always had a passion for animals, including exotic pet care! I have personally kept a freshwater aquarium and understand that fish and reptile care is much more detailed and intensive than many may first assume. You can rest easy knowing your pets will be in good hands, and will be given the detailed care and attention they deserve. I'm currently in recovery from a chronic pain condition. This gives me incredible flexibility to take on care at any time, and give your pets the attention they deserve! Depending on my health, my availabily may fluctuate, but now that I'm finally on the upswing I'm ready to be active and my abilites will only increase in the coming months! I am currently not offering care through my own home, but I am happy to provide check ins on many varieties of pets! I adore reptiles and exotic pets, and will happily feed, administer care, and help wear them out by playing inside, in the yard, or walking the nearby area.
About: I have experience with (and love) dogs and cats; old and young, big and small. I have experience walking, feeding, and administering meds for both dogs and cats, as well as supervising groups of both large dogs and small/medium dogs. I have four cats, as well as experience caring for cats in pet hotel and cat-sitting settings. I've always valued making new furry friends since I was little, and I can't wait to work with yours! I work from home and can easily make time in the mornings and late afternoons/evenings, so visits are no problem to schedule. I do travel a little for work, but I’ll keep an eye on my availability calendar and input those dates a few weeks out whenever possible. We live in a very walkable neighborhood with a parkway, so leashed walks are always an option. There’s also a fenced dog park nearby, so if your dog likes other dogs we can hang out there.
“Ashley was very accommodating was able to book last minute and squeeze me in and still meet my kiddos needs. Communicative and fast response to any questions or concerns I had. Thanks”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I currently have both a dog and a cat, so I'm comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs. In addition to caring for my own pets, I spent the last five years fostering dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperaments. From energetic puppies to older dogs and those needing extra patience or structure, I've gained experience helping dogs feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply a calm companion while you're away, I'll provide dependable, attentive care and treat them like one of my own. As a teacher, I have a very flexible schedule during the summer, allowing me to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. This flexibility means I can provide consistent care, plenty of attention, and stick to your pet's normal routine. During the school year, I'm still available for evenings, weekends, holidays, and school breaks. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. In my home, I have a friendly dog, a cat who will most likely just keep his distance, and an almost 4-year-old daughter who has been around animals her entire life. She has learned to be gentle and respectful with pets, and all interactions are always supervised. While I don't have a fenced yard, that means my own dog is accustomed to multiple leashed walks and outdoor breaks throughout the day. If your dog stays with me, they'll receive the same regular exercise, attention, and supervised time outside. When caring for pets in your home, I'll follow your instructions closely to keep their routine as consistent as possible. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, medication, or plenty of companionship, I'll treat your pet like one of my own.
“Jordan took great care of my cat when I was out of town for a week! I appreciate how he had sent many photos each time he dropped by my apartment to visit my cat, and he had excellent communication. I will definitely be reaching out to him again when I'm in need of a cat sitter again :)”

Ashley did a great job with Banksy. He even snuggled with her for cuddles, and he's not always a real lovey-dovey guy! Ashley is really easy to communicate with, always responded quickly to my messages, and was able to extend the booking a couple of extra days which helped me out a lot. I'd definitely have her watch Banksy again in the future!

Bec does a great job caring for our cats while we’re away and they are always my first choice for cat sitting. They’re always on time and share lots of photos. They even make our shy cat feel comfortable when we’re not around. Highly recommend Bec for cat sitting!

Jessica was a fabulous caretaker of my frail CKD kitty. She followed all of my instructions to a "T" and shared daily updates and photos of Max Kitty. Sadly, Max has since passed away. I'm comforted knowing that Jessica provided such tender care near the end of Max's life when I had to leave town on short notice. I'd definitely recommend Jessica to care for any pet.

I am just so impressed with Carter! They recently helped with Cali’s nail trim and were absolutely excellent. Carter is so professional and was so, so sweet with Cali throughout the entire visit. It is such a relief to find someone so kind and wonderful to work with. Highly recommend!

Sara was the best sitter we’ve ever had. She truly went above and beyond! She provided top quality care for our cats and was so attentive. It was such a relief knowing they were being so well cared for while we were away. Will definitely work with Sara again for future pet sitting needs!

My kitties are always so happy to see Maegan when she arrives! She takes wonderful care of them and communicates immediately with me if there are any issues. She is our pet sitting hero!! Highly recommended if you are in need of pet sitting of any kind. She said she'll pet sit large animals too.😊

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brooklyn Center. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
