“Maria was AMAZING with my little Potato! For the first time, all our family and friends did not work out, so I found Rover and I was off to the races. I was so worried about leaving him with a veritable stranger for a week, but it worked out perfectly. Maria was good to meet at her place briefly before I booked just to make sure all was well, which of course it was. She sent so many pics and vids! It’s clear he spent plenty of time with the family, not sitting in a small space all day like he would have been if boarded elsewhere. We could fully relax knowing that Turkey was happy and enjoying herself while we were away. Izzy went far beyond any expectations we could have had. Since Turkey is a hairless cat, Izzy had to put on and take off her sweatshirts daily and carefully determine whether the weather was appropriate for walks and outdoor time — which can be tricky given Turkey’s lack of fur and grumpiness! Turkey’s ears also require regular cleaning because they collect wax easily, and Izzy helped us tremendously with that as well. Throughout our trip, we received photos and updates from Izzy, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would recommend Izzy to any family looking for someone who will give special attention, care, and love to their beloved family member. We were away for 9 days, which was the longest we have ever been apart from Turkey. When we returned home, we were amazed by how happy and comfortable Turkey was, and by how consistently Izzy maintained Turkey’s feeding schedule. Most importantly, Izzy is truly a gem of a person. Her calm, easygoing, yet detail-oriented character made our time away completely worthwhile. We will absolutely continue requesting Izzy’s care moving forward!”

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life. In the past 3 years we’ve welcomed almost 50 fosters into our home, many with behavioral issues. We currently have two rescues that are our life - and we want to welcome your pup into our home. We are heavily involved in the rescue world. We crate train, work on obedience, have the tools for a smooth transition, and go on walks multiple times a day. I currently work from home and am active on breaks with walks, training, and providing puppy love. We believe in routine and keeping dogs on a schedule. We watch our dogs, crate and rotate if needed, and always walk with a secure harness or harness lead. We allow pups to transition as long as they need as being away from home can be stressful!

About: Our home in Brooklyn Park is ready to host your pet. Having had a Great Dane for almost ten years, we are ready to watch pets in any size range. We have no dogs or cats in the home currently, but are set up to give your pet the best possible experience while you are away! We have experience with senior dogs and dietary restrictions such as raw feeding, as well as giving medications as needed. Currently, both Jackie and I work from home, so there is always someone around during the day. We live right off of a walking trail, so daily walks will be no problem. We have a fenced in yard if your pup likes to be outside. Otherwise they are welcome to hang out with us during the day on one of many dog beds, or on the couch for cuddle time.

About: Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I am a huge animal lover and have grown up/cared for dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with mostly Norwegian Elkhounds but had one Carin terrier find his way to my family. Currently I have 1 Norwegian Elkhound named Bear who is about 6 years old and my best friend. My boyfriend and I recently adopted 2 cats from the animal Humane Society named Jack and Lucas. I have been pet sitting since high school and have taken care of cats, dogs, rabbit, fish and hamsters. When I am not with animals I can be found hiking, reading, knitting or playing video games. I am currently making my way through the Nancy Drew series and hoping to finish a scarf by Christmas time. I try to stay active and like taking my dog on long walks especially in the summer. I am currently go to school full time. Which allows me to prioritize caring for my pets and lets me fit a wide ranging of scheduling needs. My pets currently run the home. They have free reign of the entire house and nap, eat and sometimes even potty where ever they like.

About: Dogs have been part of my life forever, from growing up with a variety of breeds and sizes in my family to now caring for my own rescue yellow lab. I love caring for dogs at all ages, whether it's puppies full of energy or senior dogs who need extra TLC. I handle walks, potty breaks, feeding, brushing, baths, giving medication (pill form) and both indoor and outdoor stimulation activities. I've completed obedience 1 training and enjoy practicing commands like name recognition, sit, stay, lay down, drop it, leave it, and leash walking. I can lift 60lbs if needed and make sure every dog feels loved, entertained, and truly at home while their humans are away. Friends and family always ask me to watch their dogs because they know I'll give them love, attention, and safe, happy care - and I'm excited to extend that same care to more dogs and their family in my community through Rover. *Please note that I will require for my dog to come with me for any stays - she is an 8 year old yellow lab that is very laid back and gets along with all dogs. I am more than happy to set up a meet and greet with her in advance* I work remotely full-time which provides an abundance of flexibility to attentively care for dogs during the day and evenings. My schedule includes Zoom call meetings and phone calls that are sporadic during each day - no two days are the same. With this flexibility, my pet care typically looks like letting the dog out for potty breaks every few hours, feeding twice per day, taking daily walk, observing and correcting behavior that occurs during the day (ex. barking, potty training, chewing) and of course the frequent pets, belly rubs, and playtime sprinkled in between meetings and work calls. I handle walks, potty breaks, feeding, brushing, baths, giving medication (pill form) and both indoor and outdoor stimulation activities. About: I grew up with dogs, and miss them dearly in my life! Friends, neighbors and family have relied on me for years to take care of their pets: while away traveling, or in hardships. From closely monitoring my friend's cat after surgery when she couldn't call off work, to weeklong stays in family homes with rambunctious puppies, I've done it all. I've always had a passion for animals, including exotic pet care! I have personally kept a freshwater aquarium and understand that fish and reptile care is much more detailed and intensive than many may first assume. You can rest easy knowing your pets will be in good hands, and will be given the detailed care and attention they deserve. I'm currently in recovery from a chronic pain condition. This gives me incredible flexibility to take on care at any time, and give your pets the attention they deserve! Depending on my health, my availabily may fluctuate, but now that I'm finally on the upswing I'm ready to be active and my abilites will only increase in the coming months! I am currently not offering care through my own home, but I am happy to provide check ins on many varieties of pets! I adore reptiles and exotic pets, and will happily feed, administer care, and help wear them out by playing inside, in the yard, or walking the nearby area.
