About: Hi there! As to experience with dogs, I have brought all three of our family dogs home- my chihuahua Blueberry, my Maltipoo Teddy who I taught how to do obstacle courses such as jump through hoops, run through poles, go through tunnels, ect. And lastly, I got my very own miniature Aussiedoodle puppy this past year named Kova who’s about 11 months old now. I have 4 years of experience dog sitting my family, friends, and people on Nextdoor throughout all 4 years of high school from tiny to large dogs. I can also help teach them tricks! I live in an apartment close to University of Miami campus where I live with a few other girls and we have my puppy & my roomates Pomeranian living with us. I’m looking to pet sit, do walks, and check in’s since I love animals and have a bit more free time this year! I also have a car so I am able to drive to pickup and drop off! I promise I will treat your furry friends like my own with the utmost care & love! I’m currently a Junior at the University of Miami. My only priorities are my classes but besides my class time, I am completely available to take care of your pups! Due to my class schedule: • I am available Monday anytime besides 3:30-5pm. • I am available Tuesday anytime besides 2pm-6:30pm. • I am available Wednesday anytime besides 2pm-8pm. • I am available Thursday anytime besides 2pm-3:30pm and 5pm-9pm. • I am completely available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday but contact me 3 days in advance for weekends to make sure I am completely available. I live in a townhouse style apartment with 4 other super sweet girls and we have 2 pups living with us to keep your dog company! I have my own puppy Kova who is a miniature Aussiedoodle girl and we have a miniature Pomeranian boy named Gio. We don’t have much of a backyard but I walk my own puppy about 4x a day through the grassy front yard and to the dog park in our complex. There are also multiple parks around the area that I love to take her to that I can walk your dog at as well! My pup no longer needs her crate but I have a crate that I can set up ahead of time if needed!
About: I have been around pets for as long as I can remember. I have two labradors, one 14 year old and one 4 year old, so I have experience with puppy’s and elderly dogs! I have always been in charge of taking the dogs on walks, and I have been covering for my sisters Rover dog walks when needed :) As of now I am unemployed for the summer, so I have a lot of availability! I am going on a couple short trips this summer, and will be going to the University of Miami in August, but other than that I am very available! I lived in a suburb until moving to Boston this month, so I am familiar with both yard and city environments. We used a crate until my dog was about 2, I like to keep them leashed and close to me, and I always keep their waters full!

“Sarymar was so amazing! My cat took to her immediately and she was very generous with her time and attention to him. She helped with all of our needs and went above and beyond. Don’t hesitate to book her services for your pet. Five stars +++++!!”
“We heavily rely on Sam’s support afforded to Athena, which has ranged from walks to/from dog care and house siting in our place. Sam is a pleasant detail oriented, exceptional communicator that our dog enjoys hanging out.”

“Julieta took amazing care of our cat Chichi while we were away. She was on time, she was patient and sent great pictures, gave us total peace of mind, we’ll rebook her for our next trip soon. Highly recommend!”

“Absolutely wonderful sitter. She took great care of our cat, kept us updated, and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a happy, relaxed kitty and a clean space. Would happily book again!”

“Katherine was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure she had a good time with our kitties. I would definitely recommend and will book her again!!”

“Sean and Ruth took pictures to send us while we were away and we’re very neat and clean in feeding and cleaning up after 2 guinea pigs. We will be using them again for an upcoming trip later this month”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs and cats since I was little. I am a certified dog trainer at school, helping puppies at their beginning training stage! I cut my cat’s nails! I’m currently a full-time college student living off-campus. I have class every day but do have time to go back during breaks if needed. I also work on campus. I wake up fairly early and go to bed late. When dog sitting, I make sure the home is clean, confirm the dog(s)/cat(s) are eating, drinking water, and doing their business. If necessary, I know how to crate an animal and am comfortable with older pets as well.
About: I have been boarding dogs in my home since 2007 and have many very happy customers. I have two small dogs of my own. The dogs have access to my fenced back garden at all times. I am retired and spend my time training and competing in agility. My dogs have free access to the living areas of my home and are able to run in and out of the back yard. They are walked at least twice a day. About this sitter: Passionate about dogs. I have completed a pet first aid course with PetTech. Why I love dog sitting: I have been a dog lover all my life. I have had a dog of my own since adopting a rescue in 1980. I now have 2 rescues and enjoy training them in obedience and agility. Meet my pets: I have two small dogs which I train and compete with in agility. About my yard: The backyard is fenced in with a 6 foot wooden fence. It has paths around the vegetation for the dogs to run. There is access to the outside from my back door at all times. I also have a small pond which is fenced and contains several fish. I am retired and home most of the time so I am able to supervise and care for your pet, take him/her for walks and have playtime. I have a fenced back yard which is available for potty breaks. I work outside in the yard most mornings and the dogs like to keep me company while I'm there. The dogs are allowed on the furniture and can sleep anywhere they choose.` I am retired and can take care of your pet at my home 24/7. I have a lot of experience looking after many types of dogs. Your pet has access to the entire house, including the furniture, and back garden. They are fed separately from my dogs. They are also brushed if necessary. I can also trim nails if the dog will allow me to do this.

“Jennifer is amazing! She’s super kind to Pretzel, very professional, punctual, friendly and communicative. Pretzel starts off a little shy and she was patient with him. She goes above and beyond for your fur baby.”

“Ada did an amazing job taking care of our cat Link! This was our first time using Rover and we were nervous, but she offered to meet us beforehand for a meet and greet with Link and we could immediately tell she was very dependable and caring. She was super responsive and sent lots of pictures and updates at each visit which made us feel at ease while we were away. She even noticed that his food was running low and let us know so we could have more ordered, and she came back the next day (even though it was not officially on the scheduled request) to make sure his food bowl got filled in time. Truly a life saver and definitely recommend!”

“Yumeng is so great with my dogs, she goes above and beyond to make sure they are well taken care of. My dogs have alot of energy and make alot of mess, but she handles them very very well, would definitley reccomend her services! :)”

“Katherine obviously loves dogs and Keelie loves her back. Over and above being reliable, she was also kind enough and flexible enough to change our weekly sitting schedule on a moment's notice. Highly recommend.”

“Fabiola is amazing! She literally saved out trip. A sitter, who supposed to help us, didn’t show up. Fabiola responded immediately and was ready to help, even though she had to drive late night to pick up keys and meet the kitties. I really appreciate that. Very reliable and friendly, great communication! Recommend!”

Pia was absolutely wonderful with my cats! They’re normally very shy and took to her so quickly, which made me feel so comfortable while I was away. She sent regular updates and adorable pictures of my babies, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Pia to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their fur babies! 🐾❤️

Rebeca was incredible! She took great care of our cat and sent us pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were traveling. She was very attentive to our cat’s needs, proactive, and incredibly helpful. When our flight was unexpectedly canceled, she went to our place for an extra day to make sure our cat was taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter. We highly recommend Rebeca and will definitely book her again!

I wish I could give Chrystal 6 stars! She went above and beyond and took care of every possible unexpected situation. Zulu and Lili were both very well cared for, and we can’t thank her enough for the attention, affection, and peace of mind she gave us. Highly recommend Chrystal!

Jennifer did a fantastic job of caring for my cat while I was out of town. She checked in with me during every visit and sent plenty of photos and videos. She did a great job of cleaning up after my cat and went above and beyond to even vacuum up all the litter she tracked around the house. Thank you, Jennifer!

Alyssa was terrific and I would absolutely have her watch our dog again. Our dog is very smart and sensitive and takes time to get to know people. Therefore, I was very concerned about having someone do drop ins while I was away, because our dog is not used to that. Alyssa was very attentive and instinctively understood what our dog needed, and made the whole experience comfortable. She is polite, kind, and a pleasure to talk with. Thank you, Alyssa!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
