Availability
I’m mostly available in the weekday evening and anytime on weekends. Also, I can watch your pet at an hourly rate if needed. I have 2 cats that I take care of every day. I use an autofeeder to accomodate when I am not present, and give them wet food when I am around (and if they seem to need or want some). Play time can be any time, and loving cuddle time is any time I lay down.

Mainly I keep my cats indoors, and will do the same for your companions. If a dog, I'll definitely make sure their harness is on correctly before a walk is taken. I like to use harnesses that have the clip on their backside - please. If they use a choke collar for any reason, let me know and we can have a conversation about it. Teach me how you'd like for them to be taken out, so everyone is on the same page.

I’d like to know any behavioral “issues”. Whether they don’t like certain pets somewhere on their body. If they have a temper. If they tend to pee or poo around the house or if excited.
A typical day
Depending on the species, I will play with them, with their favorite toys, if a dog - take them on a walk (or run if I’m allowed to exercise them), if a cat - brush them, put on some catTV for entertainment and catnip.

I've had animal companions since I was a kid, mainly cats but also a shih-tzu, who I had for 18 years, and a Belgian Malinois, my sisters dog but we had him since he was a puppy up to 6 years old. I love animals of all sizes, and understand that everyone moves at their own pace when it comes to getting to know -me- a stranger. Stepping stones for comfort are essential, for the companion in mind, and also for myself.

Katherine is an incredible caregiver. She treated Tamago as if she were her own. Her patience paid off, and after a few days, Tamago emerged from her shell and began to play and cuddle with her. Katherine also followed the instructions meticulously and kept me updated daily with detailed descriptions of Tamago’s progress. I would highly recommend her for Tamago’s care in the future!!!!

This was our first experience with a pet service and it was excellent. The Meet & Greet with Katherine C. was very helpful. She was pleasant and attentive to the details of the house and overall cat care. She understood when we shared that she may not see our very shy Tiki and LeiLani. However, we were thrilled when she posted notes and photos of BOTH cats being fed, brushed and playing with cat toys! That extra touch convinced us she was truly a "Cat Whisperer".
