About: "I love animals—I really do! I have had dogs my entire adult life. I am very outgoing and friendly, and the messy parts of pet ownership (dirt, smells, etc.) don't bother me at all. I am also very patient and understanding; being a single mother to two teens since they were young has certainly prepared me for anything! I graduated from UW and spent over 20 years in corporate America, but now I am excited to find a new path working with animals. I am always available by phone or text, and I am happy to highly attentive 'helicopter' hoomans, I'm here to help! I'm currently wide open to care for your pup. I am in a career transition and what better way than to hang out with fluffy cute animals? I live in a very dog friendly building. I have a fence courtyard where Ollie (my dog) hands out and we also have a dog park right outside. I also have a crate in my apt that Ollie laughs when I tell him he needs to go in there.
About: I have always been a dog owner and I have experience being a dog foster where I have helped many dogs with their previous trauma, such as anxiety and PTSD that was caused by being on the streets and even being mistreated by their previous owners. Overall, I love animals and I am committed to give them the best care possible. I work remotely so I am available for boarding on weekdays and weekends from AM to PM. Please feel free to reach out to me. I currently live in an apartment with no pets of my own and no yard but I have a very flexible schedule where I can take the dog for hourly walks.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs since I was 11. I grew up in Coral Gables, walking our family dog as soon as I was old enough to hold the leash. I’ve since helped family and friends with their own pets as needed. During the pandemic I was a foster mom for kittens that needed round-the -clock care, which eventually led to me adopting my cat, Milo. He came to me as a foster who was terrified of people. He’s six years old now, and though he’s slow to trust others, he seems to love me so I must’ve done something right! I’m available throughout the day as needed. Just send me a message and we can coordinate a time that works best for you and your pet! Having lived in the Gables practically all my life, I know all the best place to take your dog on a walk! I’m also very familiar with Coconut Grove and South Miami. When it comes to cats, I’ve been successfully taking care of my cat, Milo, since I adopted him as a kitten six years ago. I’ll always make sure your dog has had a wonderful, safe walk around the neighborhood. If it’s a drop-in visit for a dog or cat, I’ll make sure to play with them and assure they’re comfortable and have everything they need. I can also administer oral or topical medication for dogs and cats, such as pills or ointments if needed.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Glenvar Heights
Jacky was an amazing sitter for Loki and Odín! She was always attentive, caring, and on top of everything. She kept me updated throughout their stay and communicated with me consistently, which gave me great peace of mind. I would definitely book her again to take care of my pups. Highly recommend!

Pia was absolutely wonderful with my cats! They’re normally very shy and took to her so quickly, which made me feel so comfortable while I was away. She sent regular updates and adorable pictures of my babies, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Pia to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their fur babies! 🐾❤️

Morgan was fantastic! She was on time every single day and sent us pictures of Luna throughout each visit, which we really appreciated. She was so sweet and gentle with Luna, and it showed — Luna was completely comfortable and relaxed with her the whole time. We’d absolutely book Morgan again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring cat sitter.

Natalia is incredible!! I hired her very last minute for drop in visits and walks for my bernedoodle Bear, when my plans changed on extremely short notice. She was flexible, reliable and friendly, and even more importantly, she really took the time to connect with Bear. This was my first time leaving Bear since adopting him, and since I work from home, he is not used to spending time alone. After one drop in visit, he began howling after Natalia left; she heard him, went back inside to calm him down, left her sweatshirt for him to cuddle with, and stayed until he settled. I felt so reassured knowing that someone so caring was looking after him. We will absolutely hire Natalia again going forward.

Maria is truly a blessing. Leaving your cat behind is never easy, but with her, you feel complete peace of mind. She is incredibly trustworthy and responsible. She didn’t just “check in” - she cared for our cat with so much attention and kept us updated, made sure everything was clean and comfortable, and treated our baby like her own. When we came home, our cat was calm, happy, and clearly well cared for which says everything. We are so grateful to have found someone so reliable and kind. I would trust Maria again in a heartbeat.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
