About: Hi! I’m a responsible and caring college student who genuinely loves animals and understands how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets. I have pets of my own, so I’m very comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, litter boxes, basic routines, and giving lots of attention and affection. I’m patient, dependable, and attentive, and I’ll always treat your pets like they’re my own. I’m happy to help with dog walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and pet sitting depending on your needs. I also know every pet has their own personality, so I make sure to follow your instructions and keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family members and give you peace of mind while you’re away! I’m a college student with a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the week. Although, on Mondays, I am only available until 4 pm. I’m also happy to work with pet parents on a routine that fits their pet’s needs. I’m dependable, communicative, and always make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and care while you’re away. I always follow each pet parent’s instructions closely and make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I pay attention to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any special routines. I also keep doors and gates secure, supervise pets carefully, and give regular updates so owners know how their pet is doing.
About: I’ve been around and cared for animals for most of my life. In high school, I was part of the Veterinary Science Magnet Program at Felix Varela, where I earned my CVA certification and studied veterinary science and animal care. I also spent around three years training dogs through the program. During my senior year, I completed an internship at a veterinary clinic, where I got about two years of hands-on experience working as a vet tech. I fostered throughout high school and for a while after, which gave me experience caring for pets with different personalities, behaviors, and needs. I have experience with pets of all different sizes and ages and I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, bathing, basic training, and of course giving them plenty of attention and love. Having pets of my own, I know how important it is to have someone you trust taking care of them. I currently work part-time and am also in school, but I have a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time for pet care. I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and other care depending on what you and your pet need. I always follow each pet’s normal routine and any instructions provided by their owner. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, medications, leash safety, doors and gates, and any behavioral or medical concerns. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs, and I make sure they feel safe and comfortable while in my care. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own.

I avidly seek new experiences, and walking or caring for any animal has always been one of my favorites. Raising animals is not new to me, and neither is taking care of one that needs medical attention, or a scheduled medication. I don't think ill ever spend a day of my life not wanting to care for any animal, and i'm more than happy to help yours! Rei and I are both currently working part-time so we have a lot of flexibility when it comes to our schedule. We are both usually available on after 2 pm on most weekdays & weekends. As we are college students, our availability may be subject to change so just give us a text and we can arrange a time that fits both our schedules to take care of your fur babies! Rei and I have a fenced yard for play time in the backyard with pups. We also have a variety of toys to play with for cats and dogs as well as many treats. We always try to keep the house free of any scents such candles/diffuser in order to not harm my pets.

“Haley has a special talent to take care of cats. My two cats are very shy and not easy socializing with new people. Haley was able to establish a close and warm relationship with both cats in a couple of days. Both cats came to greet her warmly when she came back home to return my keys. Haley is very punctual and organized with her daily visits. She communicates very openly any adjustments in the visiting schedule, and she is reassuring, mature, serious and professional. Her visits include feeding, taking care of the litter boxes and playing with them. She truly has a special talent to connect with animals! I am already hiring her again for my next trip!”

“Yanci was amazing for me and my doggos! She’s very communicative and sends photos and her times in and out with details of her walk route. One of my dogs is very shy and she has no problem with Yanci :) we will definitely be using her again!”

“Maggie did an amazing job with our cat! She had great communication with us every step of the way. She would also go above and beyond for anything we needed of her! You would not go wrong with having Maggie take care of your fur baby!”

“Great sitter! Giselle recently took care of my diabetic cat. She made sure every morning to inject him his insulin, keep his litter clean, and give him fresh water. She is very professional and responsible. She can be counted on to do a great job. Next time I travel, I will definitely be asking Giselle to take care of my Copycat again! Thank you, Giselle!”

“Ricardo and Carlos were fantastic! They dropped in to check on my cat and were incredibly timely and reliable throughout. I really appreciated their attention to detail and the care they showed—my cat was clearly comfortable and well looked after. It’s not easy to find people you can fully trust with your pet, but I absolutely do with Ricardo and Carlos. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable and thoughtful sitters!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and I also worked in a daycare/boarding facility for about 1.5 years. I’ve had experience with all sizes, different breeds, seniors, aggression, puppies, and special needs. If I see there’s something dangerous or that your pet shouldn’t have, I will move it out of their reach. One of my own dogs loves to try to break into garbage cans, so I have lots of practice with this! Also if you have more than one pet, I have plenty experience breaking up fights. I also can take pics and videos of your pets (no extra charge) so you can see how they’re doing!
About: I've been watching pets for my friends and family for many years! I've cared for puppies, older dogs and families with multiple dogs as well. I am a graduate PA student on my clinical rotations. I am coming to the end of my program and therefore have some free time during my final rotations and while studying for my board exam exams. I'd prefer to watch your pets at your home, I have a small apartment which isn't always the most accommodating for larger pets or multiple animals.

Taryn was really wonderful and patient with my cat Odette! She seemed to be sad that we left her alone for a couple of days and wasn’t eating at first. Taryn stayed with her a bit longer each day to ensure she was eating and drinking her water. She did a great job with our cat and was very communicative.

Jacky was an amazing sitter for Loki and Odín! She was always attentive, caring, and on top of everything. She kept me updated throughout their stay and communicated with me consistently, which gave me great peace of mind. I would definitely book her again to take care of my pups. Highly recommend!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing cat sitter! She took great care of my cats, Winnie and Tigger, while I was away. She was reliable, caring, and kept me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind. I came home to two happy, well-cared-for cats. I would definitely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter! 🐾❤️

Priscilla accommodated a last-minute request, which we were incredibly appreciative of. Our Casper was so well taken care of she was extremely punctual, attentive to his needs, and so loving and patient with him. She spent quality time with him, and you could truly tell he enjoyed her company. We greatly appreciated the care she provided, as well as how respectful she was of our home. She was very responsive throughout the entire experience and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. She was amazing, and we highly recommend her! We are thankful we found her!

Ariagna was wonderful. She was extremely punctual. Very caring and attentive; my cat loved her from the very first moment. Throughout the entire time, she kept me informed by sending photos and videos, which gave me great peace of mind. I would definitely choose her again and recommend her 100%.

Kristel was absolutely wonderful with my dog Pepper! Pepper can be quite stubborn and is usually hesitant around new people, but Kristel’s patience and genuine care completely won her over. From the very beginning, Kristel showered Pepper with love and attention, taking time to let her warm up and always making sure she felt comfortable. I received regular updates and adorable photos, and it was clear that Pepper was relaxed, happy, and truly in the best hands. When I returned home, Pepper was her usual cheerful self, maybe even a bit better behaved! I’m so grateful for Kristel’s dedication and kindness. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will love and care for your pup as much as you do! Thank you, Kristel, for taking such amazing care of Pepper!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
