About: I’ve taken care of friend’s and family’s pets for years when they’re away on vacation/travels. I pay attention to detail, meaning that I won’t just feed them and meet their basic needs; I will also share quality time with them so that they don’t feel alone, bored, or anxious while you’re gone. I’m a teacher on sabbatical, so my availability is pretty flexible nowadays. I’m very active and enjoy a good long walk, but I’m also very calm and focused. Your pet will feel like they have a companion while also having their needs met. I can easily follow directions in terms of what your pet needs to be safe in their home. Whether it’s getting them in a crate, walking around the neighborhood with their leash, playing outside if you have a patio, etc.

About: I’ve been around and cared for animals for most of my life. In high school, I was part of the Veterinary Science Magnet Program at Felix Varela, where I earned my CVA certification and studied veterinary science and animal care. I also spent around three years training dogs through the program. During my senior year, I completed an internship at a veterinary clinic, where I got about two years of hands-on experience working as a vet tech. I fostered throughout high school and for a while after, which gave me experience caring for pets with different personalities, behaviors, and needs. I have experience with pets of all different sizes and ages and I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, bathing, basic training, and of course giving them plenty of attention and love. Having pets of my own, I know how important it is to have someone you trust taking care of them. I currently work part-time and am also in school, but I have a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time for pet care. I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and other care depending on what you and your pet need. I always follow each pet’s normal routine and any instructions provided by their owner. About: I have had pets in my home my whole life until my dog recently passed away. I was reluctant of letting in another because I didn’t want to go through the grief all over again. About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and was always the one in my family caring for them. I currently have two sweet boys of my own, both 8 years old. Growing up, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian; a reflection of just how much I’ve always cared for animals, but life had other plans and I proudly joined the service, where I’ve been serving for 13 years. Being in a new city away from family can get lonely, and I can’t think of a better way to feel at home than spending time with furry companions. I’d love the opportunity to provide your pets with the same care, love, and attention I give my own. Weekends work best for me when it comes to pet care since I work throughout the week. That said, I can still accommodate weekday care for emergencies or last-minute needs. I’ll just need to adjust my schedule. I know each animal has their own unique habits and personality, so please let me know anything special about your pet. I’ll make sure to keep their routine consistent. My dogs are small, so I take them on multiple short walks throughout the day to keep them happy and exercised. At home, they stay in a gated area in my bedroom while I’m at work, and at night they sleep with me. If you’d prefer your pet to sleep freely, I’m happy to allow that, but if your pet is crate-trained and you’d like me to maintain that routine, I completely understand. My goal is always to keep your pet comfortable, safe, and cared for the same way you would.
