About: Hello, thank you for taking an interest in boarding your pet with me at a Dog’s Dream Vacation provided by a dog lover. I love dogs and I am a borderline dog whisperer. When your pet stays with me, they are getting a vacation of their own. When you travel or go on vacation, they get to have a getaway of their own. Rover is definitely better than boarding your pet at a dog hotel, especially if they are anxious pets. It is like Air BnB for your pet. : ) I live on a small peaceful lake with a big, fenced backyard. There is usually a nice breeze. I have a big open space home and a large backyard, plus a pool. Pets can go in the pool. I know golden retrievers and Labradors can’t resist, so please let me know if your dog may attempt to go in and if you prefer that they don’t. The lake is closed off, not connected to other lakes or canals (very safe) but still I do not allow pets in the lake as there is bacteria. We have a very old cat, he is 15 years old and most dogs get along with him, even if they have never been around a cat. I sadly hate to update my profile, and it took me a few months to do so because of grief. We had a cute, playful, friendly Labrador. His name was Chance and he died of a hemangiosarcoma tumor on his liver and spleen. Apparently, labs and retrievers can get this. Unfortunately, nobody knows exactly what causes hemangiosarcoma in dogs. It is one of the most studied canine cancers, but there is no single proven cause. Researchers believe it results from a combination of: genetics, age, or random DNA mutations. The last few pictures were of me and Chance having fun. Our prices are in line with the market rate (and cheaper than a dog hotel) but in my home, your dog is getting a vacation, eventually a playmate once we get another dog. I prefer dogs that are potty trained. I also prefer friendly breeds. Please bring your dog’s bed, food and 2 poop bags per day. Also bring their crate if crate trained (this is in case only if I have more than 2 dogs during busy holiday season AND only if they are used to their home crate). It also helps some dogs feel at home and have their own scent. Be sure they are bathed and clean as they tend to lay on our rugs. I prefer they do not go on furniture but it’s ok if they do (Chance used to lay on the couch all the time). I am available weekends and/or holidays. I can also provide dog walks in Brickell during the weekday. On some occasions I can do a dog visit but it depends on day and location. Please let me know if you need more information or have any questions. I work full time but work from home 2 days out of the week. I keep dogs on a feeding schedule along with back yard play time and potty time. They basically do the same routine and schedule as Chance. I have a fenced in yard and one dog to keep your fur baby happy and in good company. I can crate your dog if needed or if you prefer. Please bring their crate if crate trained and sleep or are used to going in and out of their "home'. Sometimes it helps them having their scent.

About: I have had numerous pets throughout my life and currently have 2 cats. I love animals and frankly have all the time in the world right now during summer to come help you with your pets. I am a full time student at FSU and am currently home for the summer. I can absolutely fit pet care into my daily routine as I am not enrolled in any summer classes. I can pass a background check if needed, (never committed a crime), and can do practically anything you need for your animals, feeding, walking, cleaning litter boxes, or just spending time with them.

“I can’t recommend Katherine enough! She took wonderful care of my one-year-old cat, Koda, while I was away. He was dealing with pink eye in both eyes and needed complicated medication. Katherine not only managed to give him his medicine reliably, but she also went above and beyond: taking him to the vet when he had a bad reaction, communicating closely with the clinic, noticing when he started scratching, and even finding a collar to keep him safe and comfortable. From day one, Koda absolutely adored her which instantly put me at ease (since I am a bit of a nervous pet parent and it was my first time leaving Koda with someone else). He was rolling onto his back, showing his belly, and rubbing against her legs from the moment he met her. That kind of immediate trust says everything honestly. On top of her amazing care for him, I trusted her completely with my home. She house-sat for me as well, and I came back to a clean, lovely space. Katherine is caring, attentive, responsible, and clearly has a special gift with animals. I would 100% hire her again (and honestly plan to every time I am out of town) and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate sitter. Like, honestly. I am particular and tough to please as a general rule and she was fabulous.”

This was our first time using Rover and we were nervous, but she offered to meet us beforehand for a meet and greet with Link and we could immediately tell she was very dependable and caring. She was super responsive and sent lots of pictures and updates at each visit which made us feel at ease while we were away. She even noticed that his food was running low and let us know so we could have more ordered, and she came back the next day (even though it was not officially on the scheduled request) to make sure his food bowl got filled in time. Truly a life saver and definitely recommend!”

About: I have trained my dogs since puppyhood and have taken care of all sized dogs. I have fostered over the years and love helping pets find homes. I am patient, reliable and loving. I am available when needed. I am free weekends and at nights weekdays and am work from home so I can be at home with any of the pets. I walk my dogs for long periods of time since we don't have a yard. I have cameras in my home to monitor everyone. I give the animal their time to be comfortable with me.

After one drop in visit, he began howling after Natalia left; she heard him, went back inside to calm him down, left her sweatshirt for him to cuddle with, and stayed until he settled. About: Hello, my name is Laina and I’m so excited to get to know you and your pup! Ki is my partner and we are both available to watch your dog which means we’re basically available 24/7! Since we’re just starting off, we set our rates lower to build out a client base. I’m currently a law student 👩🏽‍⚖️📚 at University of Miami School of Law 🙌🏾💚🧡 so I have plenty of time to walk and dogsit in between classes and studying, plus it’ll be great to be active with them to get out more! I live with my partner Ki who is an optician 👓 and a personal trainer 💪🏽, is extremely active 🏃🏼, and is so great with animals. Between the two of us, someone is always available to spend time with your loved one, it’s like a two-for-one special! I’ve had pretty much any animal as a pet from hedgehogs 🦔 to horses 🐴 and my soul dog was a rottie, so I have plenty of experience with animals of all sizes. Ki’s family bred chihuahuas and he had a pitbull growing up so he also understand the needs of different breeds. I looked into rover originally to make some extra money to help pay for law school, but I decided to sign-up because of my love for dogs and all animals! Also, I’ve had dogs my entire life up until recently so I miss being around them. I’m young and active so I can take your dogs on walks or runs, yet I’m extremely responsible and trustworthy which will be applicable for drop-in visits and doggy day care. I believe that your dog’s safety & health is my number one priority so I will do everything in my power to make you feel secured in booking my services. Aside from the safety & health, I believe dogs should have fun in any environment they’re in! I’ll play with them a lot and care for them as if they’re my own puppy!

About: I have always been a dog owner and I have experience being a dog foster where I have helped many dogs with their previous trauma, such as anxiety and PTSD that was caused by being on the streets and even being mistreated by their previous owners. I offered them love, care and extra attention. I also have experience house training dogs and even getting them to do the simple “sit”, “stay” commands. Overall, I love animals and I am committed to give them the best care possible. I work remotely so I am available for boarding on weekdays and weekends from AM to PM.
