“I had such a great experience with Paula. She took amazing care of my dog and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She was very communicative throughout the day, always open to my questions and concerns, and made sure to send plenty of cute pictures. My pup came home happy, tired, and clearly had a fun day. It’s such a relief knowing I can trust someone who treats my dog like their own. Highly recommend!”

“Olga was super responsive and a great communicator. She was extremely kind and I was confident Scarlet was well cared for. Our event in the area was cancelled for bad weather so our day was cut very short; so Scarlet was only with Olga for a few hours. Olga did send a photo of Scarlet on her lap during the stay. Would definitely book Olga again when in the area!”

“great experience with Dayne! She is always so caring and attentive with my two dachshunds. I love getting the updates, pictures, and videos, it really shows how much she cares. So grateful to have found her!”

About: Hey there! I’m Mac, and I’ve been taking care of dogs for about 20+ years. I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs, from energetic puppies to older ones that need a little extra attention. I genuinely love spending time with dogs, whether that’s taking them for walks, making sure they’re fed and comfy, or just hanging out and giving them all the belly rubs they deserve! I know how important it is to feel like your dog is safe and happy while you’re away, so I’m here to ensure that your babies are in a loving home. You can trust me to treat your pup like they’re my own, and can relax knowing they’re in good hands. Also, it says I have 4 dogs at home. I only have 3. I just haven’t deleted the profile of my late baby Sterling. I work from home so I will not have any distractions except for loving and attending to your baby. I have three dogs of my own and they are very social! I live in a house with a big back yard. I have 3 english bulldogs of my own. I frequently volunteer and foster dogs in our spare time. I lost my English Bulldog to cancer last March and am very familiar with handling any sort of medical care due to the medical care I had to administer to him. Truly dogs are what make me happiest.
“Alejandro and Roby are the best babysitters you will ever meet. They made my dog feel comfortable and welcomed. I never had to worry when leaving my dog in their care. The most amazing people on the platform I've met”

Just be open and honest about when you need me and I can work to accommodate! I am easily able to take care of your pets! When caring for pets, whether in my own home or a client’s, I prioritize their safety by being vigilant on walks, getting to know them before my care begins with a pre-meet to make sure I build rapport with your fur or furless babies. About: I have been caring for animals for most of my life and have owned two dogs and a cat. I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, attentive, and caring when you’re away from your pets. I genuinely love animals of all kinds and enjoy spending time outdoors, which means your dog will get plenty of attention, exercise, and walks. I live in Coral Gables and have access to a safe home and yard where pets can feel comfortable and secure. As an incoming law student, I am responsible, organized, and dependable. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, or overnight care, I will treat them with the same love and attention that I gave my own pets. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel completely comfortable and at ease while you’re away. I currently have a very flexible schedule as I prepare to start law school. Since I am living at home and spending most of my time doing readings and getting ready for the fall semester, I have plenty of availability throughout the day. I am available for morning, afternoon, and evening walks, feedings, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. If needed, I can also help with pick-ups, drop-offs, and house visits. The only thing I ask is that cancellations be made at least 24 hours in advance so I can plan my schedule accordingly. My home is located in a safe, quiet area of Coral Gables and is just a five-minute walk from a nearby dog park, making it easy to provide regular exercise and outdoor time. I have plenty of experience around animals and understand the importance of maintaining their routines and respecting their individual personalities. If your pet stays with me, they’ll have a comfortable environment with space to relax and play. Additionally, my mom is often home during the day, so there is usually someone around the house. I am happy to follow any specific instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise, or other preferences to ensure your pet’s routine stays as consistent as possible.
“Excelente. ??”

About: Young professional with a big love for animals. I have more than 6 years of experience taking care of small and large dogs as well as kitties and cats. My love for animals started as a child and taught me patience and disciple. I've worked with dogs and cats that have medical needs, special diets and shyness. It’s my priority to make sure your animal feels comfortable with me and right at home. From my previous experience, I believe it's important to build a relationship with your pet by using positive reinforcement techniques and treats when they've earned it. I try to take each pet around the neighborhood instead of the same route to improve their interest and excitement. In order to take the best care of your pet I ask that we coordinate a day before the requested day. This gives me enough time to plan my schedule and ensure I can be the best caregiver for your pet. I like to take my time with each pet to ensure they feel comfortable and safe with me. I believe in positive reinforcement to ensure we build the best relationship. I love animals and treat each client like they are my own pet.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your South Miami commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,229 sitters in South Miami, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
