About: Looking to leave your beloved pet in care as sweet and tender as yours? I’m here to care for them just as carefully as you would! I am a masters student at the University of Miami studying at the School of Architecture. As you can imagine it is a heavy program and summer is my time to rest and rejuvenate. However tuition is crazy and I need a good way to make some money and do something I love that won’t be as rigorous. Pet care seemed to be a happy medium of the two and my schedule is vastly open to it! I live in a one bedroom apartment in South Miami, and I currently have no pets of my own. My apartment is positioned well to reach outside quickly for bathroom breaks. I do not have a backyard but there is a large park very nearby which I would use to allow any pets lots of fun outside. When coming to your home I am open to following any instructions which help keep your baby comfortable and happy.
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I currently have two cats, two dogs, and a parrot, so I truly understand how much love and attention pets need every day. From feeding, walking, and playtime to keeping them comfortable and happy, I enjoy every part of taking care of animals. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy or a shy cat, I’m patient, gentle, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your furry (or feathered!) family members, and I always aim to give them the same love and care they get at home. I’ve cared for pets my whole life! I’m free most of the week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday anytime; Tuesday and Thursday after late afternoon (5pm); weekends all day, perfect for walks, visits, or boarding. I love keeping pets happy, healthy, and comfortable, and I treat every animal like family. I have two friendly dogs and a large, fully fenced yard with plenty of space for pets to run and play safely. I can adapt to any routine, provide fresh food and water, and maintain a clean, comfortable space. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I prioritize safety, supervision, and creating a calm, loving environment so every pet feels happy, secure, and well cared for.

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life and grew up with dogs, cats, a bird, and even a bunny, so I’m comfortable caring for all kinds of pets. I have two years of experience caring for my neighbors’ cats while they were away, including feeding, cleaning litter boxes, giving medication, and spending time playing with them. I’ve also had my own cat for the past four years, and at one point I had four cats, including a senior cat who was blind, so I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities. I know cats often require a different approach than dogs, and I’m happy to go at their pace to help them feel safe and comfortable. I also have experience giving daily medication to my family’s dog and regularly walk my parents’ dogs whenever I’m home. I understand how much pets mean to their families, and I’ll care for yours with the same patience, attention, and love I’d want for my own I recently graduated from the University of Miami, so my schedule is very flexible while I search for a full-time position. I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks weekdays, weekends, and holidays. I’ll always communicate my availability in advance and make sure your pets receive the time, attention, and care they deserve. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets and your home. I’ll carefully follow your instructions and your pet’s routine exactly as you’ve outlined, from feeding schedules and medications to walks, playtime, and any special requests. I have experience caring for senior pets and administering medication, and I’ve stayed calm during an unexpected medical emergency while caring for my mom’s dog by getting her to the vet right away. I’ll treat your pets like family and keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know they’re safe and happy.

About: Hi! I’m currently a nursing student home for the summer, and I’m looking forward to taking care of your dogs. Since I am on summer break, I have a very flexible schedule to best serve your dogs needs. I have had many pet dogs throughout my life that I have taken care of. Also, my friends and family have always trusted me to take care of their pets since I love animals. I am available for dog walking and doing pet visits. I am In summer break so I have a very flexible schedule! I am open to walking dogs or doing dog visits at any time but best during the morning. I have a big backyard to let my dog explore and run around. I am also sure to keep water with me to make sure the dogs stay hydrated during the hot summer months.

About: Hi! My most outstanding quality is my immense experience with fur babies, I grew up with 16 German shepherds and a multitude of other breeds beyond that, my experience doesn’t even stop at doggies alone, I am also a cat connoisseur! 😁 I’m currently taking a couple summer classes but I don’t have that much on my schedule, so I have plenty of time available to walk puppies/dogs. While i’ll ideally be walking pets, i’m still open to making sure everyone’s pets gets the proper care and attention that they require. I’m very observant so i’ll always be paying attention to what’s going on whether a fur baby feels sick, stressed, anxious, sad, etc. I have 2 dogs at home right now. One golden doodle and one maltipoo. The maltipoo is older so he requires a little more attention because he gets very shaky and anxious at times. So I definitely have experience with that. I also follow instructions very well so i’ll make sure that I maintain the pets normal routine at all times.

About: Hello, my name is Laina and I’m so excited to get to know you and your pup! Ki is my partner and we are both available to watch your dog which means we’re basically available 24/7! Since we’re just starting off, we set our rates lower to build out a client base. I’m currently a law student 👩🏽⚖️📚 at University of Miami School of Law 🙌🏾💚🧡 so I have plenty of time to walk and dogsit in between classes and studying, plus it’ll be great to be active with them to get out more! I live with my partner Ki who is an optician 👓 and a personal trainer 💪🏽, is extremely active 🏃🏼, and is so great with animals. Between the two of us, someone is always available to spend time with your loved one, it’s like a two-for-one special! I’ve had pretty much any animal as a pet from hedgehogs 🦔 to horses 🐴 and my soul dog was a rottie, so I have plenty of experience with animals of all sizes. Ki’s family bred chihuahuas and he had a pitbull growing up so he also understand the needs of different breeds. I looked into rover originally to make some extra money to help pay for law school, but I decided to sign-up because of my love for dogs and all animals! Also, I’ve had dogs my entire life up until recently so I miss being around them. I’m young and active so I can take your dogs on walks or runs, yet I’m extremely responsible and trustworthy which will be applicable for drop-in visits and doggy day care. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile and I look forward to hearing from you and your pup!!!😁🐾💙 I’m currently in law school so I have a relatively flexible schedule to watch after your best friend and can take your pup on a walk whenever they want! Ki goes into work late so between the two of us someone is almost always home to take care of your pup. I will make sure to follow your directions very carefully. I believe that your dog’s safety & health is my number one priority so I will do everything in my power to make you feel secured in booking my services. Aside from the safety & health, I believe dogs should have fun in any environment they’re in! I’ll play with them a lot and care for them as if they’re my own puppy!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - South Miami
Capuchine was amazing!! She was very attentive towards my dog Indigo and made sure to send me pictures and updates for the walk. Indigo loved her and she made sure to spend time with him after the walk, which I appreciated. I will be using her for future walks and would definitely recommend her for any services you would need for your pets!!

Highly recommend! She did a fantastic job looking after Luna during a long day. She followed every instruction perfectly, from finding the key hidden by the blue gnome to being patient with Luna’s fears of elevators and ceramic floors. She was careful to use the door with only two stairs and made sure Luna got her treat sticks after the walk. It was such a relief knowing Luna was in such capable and observant hands!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
