“Sarymar was so amazing! My cat took to her immediately and she was very generous with her time and attention to him. She helped with all of our needs and went above and beyond. Don’t hesitate to book her services for your pet. Five stars +++++!!”
“This was our first experience with a pet service and it was excellent. The Meet & Greet with Katherine C. was very helpful. She was pleasant and attentive to the details of the house and overall cat care. She understood when we shared that she may not see our very shy Tiki and LeiLani. However, we were thrilled when she posted notes and photos of BOTH cats being fed, brushed and playing with cat toys! That extra touch convinced us she was truly a "Cat Whisperer". Katherine C. and ROVER made this a great experience. Thank you.”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs and cats since I was little. I am a certified dog trainer at school, helping puppies at their beginning training stage! I cut my cat’s nails! I’m currently a full-time college student living off-campus. I have class every day but do have time to go back during breaks if needed. I also work on campus. I wake up fairly early and go to bed late. When dog sitting, I make sure the home is clean, confirm the dog(s)/cat(s) are eating, drinking water, and doing their business. If necessary, I know how to crate an animal and am comfortable with older pets as well.
About: Raising my very own senior lady, a mid-size terrier-mix, for the last decade and counting - experienced with dogs that have separation anxiety and need a little more comfort than the rest I’m currently working full-time but located locally in the gables, so I’ll have plenty of time in the late afternoons and evenings after 6pm for walks and pups! Weekends are usually open for the mornings and afternoons, as well. I can cater to your fur baby’s daily routine, maintaining their preferred feeling schedules and walks, keeping their day structured so they don’t ever feel off and can rest knowing all is well (even with mom and dad away)!

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have experience with all kinds of breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’ve cared for dogs as small as 5 pounds and have even walked dogs nearing 100 pounds, so I’m comfortable with pups of all sizes! I also have some experience with cats. I genuinely love being around animals and would be happy to give your pets the same care, attention, and love I’d want for my own. I work part-time and attend school online, which gives me plenty of flexibility in my schedule. I’m able to work around different schedules and can usually be flexible with drop-ins, walks, and pet care needs. I always make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for in their own environment. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention and affection. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions or preferences you have for your pet, and I’ll always treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I would my own.
“Dora Luz was an excellent sister. My two cats are difficult to feed (one eats very slowly and is very shy and the other is an overeater) and Dora Luz managed beautifully. She is super professional and careful with all details. I will book her again for sure!!”

“We heavily rely on Sam’s support afforded to Athena, which has ranged from walks to/from dog care and house siting in our place. Sam is a pleasant detail oriented, exceptional communicator that our dog enjoys hanging out.”

“Julieta is wonderful and super communicative. She took care of my older dog just as if she was her own. I look forward to a long relationship together as I plan to continue booking! I can’t recommend her enough.”

“Rebeca has made my shy cat comfortable enough to come out during her visits! I loved that she sent multiple videos over the weekend, and the Rover cards were very detailed after each visit.”

About: I have had experience caring for dogs since I was 10 years old. I’ve taken care of Senior dogs up to 17 years old and puppies starting at one year-old. I love love love dogs, playing with them and spending time with them. My daily routine is highly flexible and I can make time to care for your pet! Just let me know when and where and we will make it work! I’m professional and hold myself to a high standard, will adjust to your preferences regarding care for your dog (you know them best), and will make sure they have fun too!
“Mariya was fantastic watching my two cats for the week I was away. My situation isn’t the easiest — my cats have to be kept separated, with one being pretty shy around new people — but Mariya handled it with patience and care. She kept me updated with regular check-ins, and it was clear she genuinely paid attention to each cat’s individual needs rather than just doing a quick in and out visit. I came home to two happy, well fed, comfortable cats and zero stress. Highly recommend Mariya to anyone with cats, especially if you’ve got a trickier multi-cat household like mine she’s clearly experienced and trustworthy. I’ll definitely be booking her again!”

About: Hi there! As to experience with dogs, I have brought all three of our family dogs home- my chihuahua Blueberry, my Maltipoo Teddy who I taught how to do obstacle courses such as jump through hoops, run through poles, go through tunnels, ect. And lastly, I got my very own miniature Aussiedoodle puppy this past year named Kova who’s about 11 months old now. I have 4 years of experience dog sitting my family, friends, and people on Nextdoor throughout all 4 years of high school from tiny to large dogs. I can also help teach them tricks! I live in an apartment close to University of Miami campus where I live with a few other girls and we have my puppy & my roomates Pomeranian living with us. I’m looking to pet sit, do walks, and check in’s since I love animals and have a bit more free time this year! I also have a car so I am able to drive to pickup and drop off! I promise I will treat your furry friends like my own with the utmost care & love! I’m currently a Junior at the University of Miami. My only priorities are my classes but besides my class time, I am completely available to take care of your pups! Due to my class schedule: • I am available Monday anytime besides 3:30-5pm. • I am available Tuesday anytime besides 2pm-6:30pm. • I am available Wednesday anytime besides 2pm-8pm. • I am available Thursday anytime besides 2pm-3:30pm and 5pm-9pm. • I am completely available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday but contact me 3 days in advance for weekends to make sure I am completely available. I live in a townhouse style apartment with 4 other super sweet girls and we have 2 pups living with us to keep your dog company! I have my own puppy Kova who is a miniature Aussiedoodle girl and we have a miniature Pomeranian boy named Gio. We don’t have much of a backyard but I walk my own puppy about 4x a day through the grassy front yard and to the dog park in our complex. There are also multiple parks around the area that I love to take her to that I can walk your dog at as well! My pup no longer needs her crate but I have a crate that I can set up ahead of time if needed!

About: Have you ever met a girl who had every dog breed, behavior, and product memorized by heart? Well, now you have! Hi! My name is Ariana and at 8 years old, I was that girl! I have been seeking dog walking jobs since I was 5 but my dog obsession started as soon as I laid eyes on the perfect maltese puppy my uncle had. From taking care of my uncle’s dog to begging my neighbor to let me walk their huskies with my babysitter and giving up TV for a year to earn my own dog, a day has not passed where I didn’t reminisce on my love for dogs and all animals. Since I could ride my bike I would trek all across my small town to walk and care for animals all of different ages, sizes, and temperaments. Typically, I would care for dogs, but have cared for cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, chickens and more! Being and working on multiple farms from age 6 has taught be to remain calm and keep my head when things don’t go as planned and to get right back up when you fall down and try again. Furthermore, I trained my own Cavapoo, Kiki, into an extremely attentive and smart dog - she goes everywhere off leash and even closes our door on command! I am currently in college and I’m going off of my class schedules alongside the amount of work that I get. I do not have many classes in a single day so working around my schedule should not be extremely difficult. Overall, I am extremely respectful and neat and only access the parts of your house in which I need to go. For dog walking and animal care, I leave every dog, making sure that they have a full bowl of water and that they are in the area designated for them. I make sure to lock and close every door requested and leave everything exactly where I found it. If there is any mess around the bowls or litter boxes I make sure to clean it up and refill everything as needed and/or requested. if there have been any accidents around the house, I make sure to notify every owner and clean up and disinfect the area. If the owners have requested that I give the pet treats or any extra medication I do as requested and make sure to follow up with a check in.

“Shawn and his kids provided amazing care for our dog Rosie while we were out of town. We would definitely definitely trust them to take care of Rosie again. Great communication and you could tell they love animals.”

“Katherine obviously loves dogs and Keelie loves her back. Over and above being reliable, she was also kind enough and flexible enough to change our weekly sitting schedule on a moment's notice. Highly recommend.”

I wish I could give Chrystal 6 stars! She went above and beyond and took care of every possible unexpected situation. Zulu and Lili were both very well cared for, and we can’t thank her enough for the attention, affection, and peace of mind she gave us. Highly recommend Chrystal!

Pia was amazing with Phoenix! She went above and beyond to make sure she was well taken care of while we were away on vacation. She’s very trustworthy, reliable, and always kept us updated, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We would definitely book with her again! Thank you pia 😘

Jennifer did a fantastic job of caring for my cat while I was out of town. She checked in with me during every visit and sent plenty of photos and videos. She did a great job of cleaning up after my cat and went above and beyond to even vacuum up all the litter she tracked around the house. Thank you, Jennifer!

Nadia is terrific and we will be happy to work with her again. Our dog is very sensitive and timid, but he warmed up to Nadia right away because she is kind, caring, patient, and loves dogs. Nadia sent us helpful updates and photos and is superb at communicating. Thank you!!

Alyssa was terrific and I would absolutely have her watch our dog again. Our dog is very smart and sensitive and takes time to get to know people. Therefore, I was very concerned about having someone do drop ins while I was away, because our dog is not used to that. Alyssa was very attentive and instinctively understood what our dog needed, and made the whole experience comfortable. She is polite, kind, and a pleasure to talk with. Thank you, Alyssa!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for Bella while I was away! She came by for drop-in visits exactly as scheduled and made sure Bella was well taken care of every time. She kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was gone. It was clear that Bella was happy, comfortable, and getting lots of love and attention during each visit. I truly appreciated her reliability, communication, and genuine care for my dog. I would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
