“I’m really cautious about who watches my girls, but trust James in a heartbeat! Luna has so many allergies and he followed all of the details that Luna comes with to properly care for her! I never had a doubt about leaving my Luna with James. He also took the girls outside to play from time to time to release some of their pent up energy! When I brought my fur babies home they were exhausted and nap time all around. I always knew what was going on when I was out of town! Thanks James!!”

“Mo was absolutely amazing. Kept me informed with videos and pictures once a day. She kept me updated about how he was doing as well. She had a very nice big fenced yard for him. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs basicly all my life. I currently have an Australian Shepherd that is five years old. He is good with other dogs. He has separation anxiety, so I know how to take care of that as well. I work full-time at the University. I go on daily walks with my own dogs. I’m pretty free after work. You’re dog will feel at home:) I have a fenced in yard and I live in a house, so I have plenty of space for your pet. I also make sure that they get plenty of exercise.
“Michelle took such good care of my dog, Sissy! She gave updates and sent pictures every day while she had her. I felt so comfortable that she was taking good care of her. I would definitely recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a trustworthy person to watch their dog!”

“We used Heidi for this first time over the 4th of July and it went amazing! she took care of him like he was her own. Kept him on his schedule and sent constant updates on how he was doing. It allowed us to relax on our family trip knowing our fur family member was being well taken care of. We would absolutely use her again! Thank you Heidi!!”

“Amirah and daisy seemed to be very happy and enjoyed their time. Tatiana provided pictures and communicated effectively in order to make us comfortable for letting our puppies stay at a new place. We are very satisfied with her care. Our pups were very excited to be there!”

About: Hi, I’m Daphne! As a military wife, I understand that life can bring some unexpected, last minute schedule changes. So if there’s a weekend where you have to be away, I’d be more than happy to help watch over your fur baby! As a fitness instructor who values keeping an active lifestyle, I dedicate weekends to my dogs by taking them out on neighborhood walks, trails, or play dates to the dog parks — so if you need weekend care, look no further! Both of my dogs, Presley and Winston, play well with other dogs but can still be old souls who lay around and sleep all day too. While my husband is deployed until 2027, I want to continue helping out dogs in our community. A bit about our fam: We have a passion for animal rescue and welfare. We’ve fostered, volunteered, and have been active in our animal shelter. I have background handling both small and big dogs, dogs with high energy, and defeated dogs who have had overall rough lives. If we see any dog in need, no matter if it’s at 11pm, in the rain, or running through the roads, we will without hesitation, stop to help give that dog whatever it is they may need. We have come across many strays and have helped reunite them with their families or have found them forever homes with the help of our local animal shelters. Our dream life is working alongside a local animal rescue back home after military life and continuing to rescue & rehabilitate more dogs in need! If you need those “after hours” drop off/pick up times — don’t hesitate to ask! I am home on weekends all day so I am flexible with your schedule. During the week, I can provide drop-in visits anywhere from 2pm-10pm. My camera roll is filled with pics of my own dogs so you can expect constant photos, videos, and updates on your baby throughout their time with me! What you can expect: I usually separate dogs at feeding times and keep them in their individual crate overnight. This is for their safety as I wouldn’t want anything harmful happening to them overnight when I am not watching! They may behave well in your home but in new environments, I want to take extra precautions. The dogs are not inside for more than 2 hours as I let them outside for potty breaks and outdoor playtime often, with weather conditions kept in mind.
“Morgan and her family were amazing! They honestly went above and beyond with caring for Blue. She sent so much lovely photos and a couple of videos showing that he was having a really good time in their home with their dogs and kiddos. She even pointed out a few things that he can use some help on when we asked. If we ever needed to go out of town again Morgan would absolutely be the first person we asked. She clearly cares deeply for her dogs and her family and it translated really incredibly to how she cared for our boy.”

About: I have experience caring for both Huskies and Golden Retrievers, which has given me insight into different energy levels, personalities, and training styles. Huskies require structure and exercise, while Golden Retrievers are eager to please and highly social. Currently, I am raising a 9-week-old Golden Retriever, focusing on early training, socialization, and building healthy daily routines. Pet care is a consistent part of my daily routine and something I prioritize. Each day includes feeding, walks, playtime, and basic training, especially with my 9-week-old Golden Retriever who requires frequent attention and structure. I also make time for grooming, cleaning, and monitoring their health and behavior. Overall, caring for my pets is naturally built into my schedule and balanced alongside my other responsibilities. I care for pets in my home by providing a safe, clean, and structured environment where their needs are consistently met. This includes feeding them on a regular schedule, ensuring they always have fresh water, and giving them daily exercise and playtime. I focus on training and positive reinforcement, especially with my 9-week-old Golden Retriever, to build good habits early. I also maintain grooming, keep their living areas clean, and monitor their health and behavior closely to make sure they are happy and well cared for. I have a fenced in back yard for free roam play.
About: I've been caring for pets for over 15 years and understand that every animal has their own personality and routine. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule and know how important it is to have someone dependable looking after your pet while you're away. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, including senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. Whether it's feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company, I'll follow your instructions carefully and treat your pet like one of my own. I know how much peace of mind matters when you're away, so I'll provide regular photo updates and messages after each visit. My goal is for you to come home to a happy, well-cared-for pet. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. Whether your pet is staying with me for boarding, spending the day with me, or just needs a drop-in visit, I'll do my best to keep them on their normal routine. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and over 15 years of experience caring for pets. My home includes two young children, a gentle senior dog, and two cats. Because every pet has different comfort levels, I can keep pets separated when needed and will always introduce animals slowly and carefully if interaction is appropriate. I'll follow your pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), potty breaks, exercise, and any special instructions. Whether your pet is here for boarding, daycare, or I'm stopping by for a drop-in visit, they'll receive plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. I'll also send regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
“Melissa was the best! This was Rosie’s first time at a Rover host and I didn’t really know what to expect, but Melissa took time to get Rosie comfortable and by the end of the day, her and Melissa’s dogs were buddies! She sent pics frequently and updates as well. There were zero problems, just happy updates. I’d definitely recommend and will be very happy asking Melissa to help in the future!”

“Brittany was great on all fronts; availability, communication before and during, and treatment of our furry daughter, Rainbow. Our dog enjoyed her stay, she was all smiles when we picked her up. Definitely recommend and will request her services next time we’re in town.”

“Great communication from Kaylee and she kept us updated on how our doggie was doing. We weren't allowed through the Fort Drum gate, but that was no problem as we just met up in the Walmart parking lot nearby.”

“Cant even begin to explain how amazing A’Briana was for me and my baby Maximus. I always got updates on what was going on with him, pictures everyday! She was accommodating to my unpredictable schedule. Constantly helped me with last minute bookings, understanding when my work changed my schedule around. Max was always excited to go to daycare and was exhausted when he got home after a full day of playing with the other dogs. Highly highly recommend for anyone in the area.”

Lauren was absolutely amazing with my puppy, Apollo! I honestly can’t recommend her enough. I ended up having to extend my trip multiple times, often with very little notice, and she was incredibly understanding, flexible, and accommodating through every last-minute change. That took so much stress off my shoulders, and I can’t thank her enough for her patience. She was also super responsive and kept me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It’s obvious she genuinely cares about the animals she watches. Apollo was well cared for, happy, and loved while he was with her, and I know puppies can require a lot of extra patience and attention! Thank you so much, Lauren, for taking such great care of Apollo and for being so kind, understanding, and dependable throughout everything. I truly appreciate all the time, patience, and love you gave him. We will definitely be booking with you again!

Boarding my cat Tilly with Kirstie was a 10/10 experience!! She was so caring towards my cat and provided me with lots of updates. She was very accommodating with Tilly’s diet! Kirstie clearly loves animals and I can’t recommend her enough for any of your pets’ needs!

Michelle and her husband were the sweetest. We did a meet and greet so my nervous dog would be familiar with them and their home. They made him feel right at home. I wasn’t worried about my dog for a second. I knew he’d be in good hands. A yard to play and people to love on him.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
