“I don't even know where to start! Jennifer was just that amazing! She had patience with me as I had to adjust pick-up and drop-off times. My babies are rescues and I was afraid they would think they were being abandoned again. I even bought anxiety calming treats. Turns out I was the only one nervous. So nervous, I forgot to bring their wet food (we mix it with kibble). Jennifer offered to send her husband to pick it up! Jennifer assured me that she would treat like they were hers and that they would be more than ok. She kept her word! We got constant photo and text updates. Not only did she ay with them, her family, including their dog, did too!! They cuddled and loved on them just like I would. She spoiled them with treats just as much we do. My puppies had never walked on a leash before (only 3mths old) and when we picked them up, Sailor and Shiloh were walking on their leash!! When it was time to say goodbye, her daughter gave both Sailor and Shiloh hugs. It was super sweet, and it was just a small sign, to me, of how well they were cared for and loved on. A typical day at our home looks like this: 630a - Wake Up 730a - Short Morning Walk 8a to 930a - Independent play & relax 930a - Breakfast 10a to 12p - Independent play, potty breaks as needed 12p - Lunch 1p to 4p - Independent play, potty breaks as needed 4p to 530p - Outdoor play 530p - Dinner 7p - Evening Walk 8p - Settle Down With a flexible work schedule, I have the ability to adjust my schedule to the dogs in my care. Our home is 1200 sq ft with over a quarter acre of 6ft privacy fenced backyard space. Our fence is thoroughly checked weekly for any holes, loose boards, and other defects that could lead to escapees. All doors, except for our dedicated office space, are closed during the day, but dogs have access to our shared family spaces. While we do not have a doggy door for backyard access, we do potty breaks approx every two hours or as needed. In our home, it is myself, my husband, and our dog Jessie, who is friendly to all. Although she is friendly, we do pick up all toys, chews, and food when other dogs are in our home. That being said, dogs will also be fed separate regardless of personality simply because dogs act different in homes that are not theirs. We find that this keeps both our dog and yours safe in our home.
