“She was wonderful with my pup, Sasha. I will be using her again if i need to. She sent lots of pics and kept me updated the whole time. She was kind and Sasha grew to love her dogs in a short time as well. Very pleased with everything! :)”

“Austin was incredible, and I would absolutely use him again! He sent me updates multiple times a day about how my dog was doing, pictures etc. He truly loves and cares about dogs, and is one of the best sitters I've ever used on Rover. Thank you so much!”

About: Hello! I am a dog parent to an 8-year-old bully named Boss. I've been raised with furry friends my entire life, mostly dogs and cats, but a few bunnies too! As a pet parent, I understand the overwhelming anxiety one experiences when it's time to board your furry friend. Rest assured, your fur baby will get the time and attention they deserve. I work a flexible schedule to ensure someone will always be present. I do have a 4-year-old daughter who is just as much of a furry friend lover as I am! She just completed a pet study in school and is very gentle and respectful with Boss. I can administer medications if needed, as I have to do that for Boss. I have a 2-acre property which includes a fenced-in section. I would love to welcome your furry friend into my home and give you the peace of mind in knowing your best friend is being loved while you're away. I’m at home during the day and have flexibility with my work schedule to ensure your furry friend gets the quality time they deserve! I have a fenced in yard and my Boss is crate trained. I also have two acres perfect for enjoyable walks and very minimal traffic on my street.
“I was new to Rover; Amanda was a great communicator, she answered all of my questions promptly. She sent updates while we were away along with cute pictures, which my family all appreciated. I loved that she took him on long walks! Returning home, our dog is happy and tired. I would happily recommend Amanda!”

“What an amazing place to leave our fur baby. Jen and her kids were amazing to our dog. Jen sent me pics of our dog throughout his stay. Great communication too! Will definitely use again.”

“Marisa was super nice working with us. We had a snow and ice storm the day before we left. She made arrangements for us so we didn’t miss our trip. Coco did well with her.”

About: Craig and I have had a dogs since age ten. As an adults, we have continued to always have a dog (Spike, 7 lb). We also foster for Bonaparte's Retreat, 42 dogs and counting over the past 22 years. We have fostered special needs (blind, deaf, surgery recovery, special medical needs: pill schedule. We only take small/med breeds. Never more than 2-3 dogs at one time. We like them to have plenty of individual care and attention. They have the run of the house. We are retired and home with our pet guests. We have 5 acres for long walks and a large fenced in back yard. We even have a ramp for pups with issues going up/down stairs to the back yard. Staying with us is like going to Gramma's for the weekend. (some even choose share our bed at night, and that is ok) Available 7 days a week, we are retired. Enjoy walks, play time in the secured/fenced yard. We enjoy time on the porch on nice days barking at the squirrels and having treats. Pet sitting in our home. We have a 14 year old boy, 7 lbs, Spike. We have 5 acres for long walks, stairs and a ramp for pets to get to the fenced back yard area. We are retired and home with our pet guests during their stay. They have the run of the house just like they would at your home. Sleeping in pet bed or our bed with us if they prefer.
“Emily was fantastic with Minnie! Her home is incredibly dog-friendly, with plenty of beds, blankets, and a great backyard for play. Minnie stayed for one night, went on her walks, and I felt completely confident she was in good hands. If we’re ever back in Nashville, we would definitely book Emily again. Highly recommend!”

“Leslie watched our 3 year old German short haired pointer while we went out of the country. This was there first time she’d been away from us, but it went great. Leslie sent us daily pictures. All we needed to bring was her food and a leash. Everything else she had. When our plane was delayed getting back, she was very understanding. I will definitely use her again.”

“Colten was able to watch my dog super last minute due to a work trip and I was so grateful! He took such great care of my pup and sent pics each day. I’ll definitely be booking with Colten again!”

“Lauren was AMAZING! It was my 1st time boarding Maggie and I could not have hoped for a better experience! Maggie was treated like family and didn’t even know I was gone. Lauren was communicative the entire time with updates , pics and videos. I highly recommend! We will be visiting Lauren and Maggie’s new family often!!”

“Treated our pup like her own! Robin had activities for her everyday and she was able to make other pup friends during her stay. Would definitely bring our girl back!”

“Dianne was great with my dog Tahoe! She was always super responsive and sending regular updates or photos of him. I could tell Tahoe felt very at home and safe with her which was a huge relief to me while I was away for the week! Would absolutely reach out to Dianne again the next time Tahoe needs a sitter!”

“I’m really cautious about who watches my girls, but trust James in a heartbeat! Luna has so many allergies and he followed all of the details that Luna comes with to properly care for her! I never had a doubt about leaving my Luna with James. He also took the girls outside to play from time to time to release some of their pent up energy! When I brought my fur babies home they were exhausted and nap time all around. I always knew what was going on when I was out of town! Thanks James!!”

“Trey is THE man! We left our dog with Trey for a long weekend. Trey was very responsive, shared great updates, and most importantly took GREAT care of our dog. Our dog was treated as Trey’s own — went on daily walks, had rest time and play time, and was able to play with Treys two very well behaved doodles.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
