“My 1st experience in Nashville last yr was terrible with the sitter I chose. So entrusting my dogs again, was a bit more worrisome for me. But Amanda was AMAZING! She kept consistent communication, and she willing to keep them last minute. They had an amazing time which I could tell for the daily photos Thank you again, and definitely would booking her from now on if she's available.”

“Bree was quick to respond, helpful with questions, and a good, clear communicator. She assisted with boarding overnight for my dog, and it was a great assist as I traveled through the area. She took photos and sent an update, and was available for the drop off and pick up times, as planned. She was friendly and helpful, and took good care of my dog. So very grateful for her help! Will be working with her again!”

“Alexis treats our girl like her own and we love her! She communicates daily and shares pictures of their adventures. We absolutely love Alexis, thank you for keeping our girl safe and happy!”

“Jennifer is the best. We have two weims and they just love her. Both are needy in their own way & she loves them each in their own unique way! I am always at ease when I leave my dogs with Jennifer, & I am VERY picky about who I leave them with. She sends pictures and updates. She is the best!”

“The best person anyone could ever leave your fur baby! It is simply another part of her family and has friends to play with! Would recommend her time and time again! Thank you Amanda for taking care of our Maggie! She was basically sad to leave but that says a lot in itself! The best!!!!”

“Jeremiah did an amazing job watching my dog, Zarro! Even though Zarro was scared at first, Jeremiah was really patient and gentle with him. He took the time to make Zarro feel safe and comfortable, and I could tell he warmed up to him quickly. When I picked Zarro up, he was calm and happy, which let me know he was well taken care of. I really appreciate the care Jeremiah gave him and would definitely trust him to watch Zarro again!”

About: I have had a love for animals my whole life. Starting in 2008, I got a certificate in Veterinary Assistant and worked in a clinic for about 3 years. Taking a break, I joined the Army, serving 3 years active duty, then dropping down to the Reserves, where I currently continue to serve totaling about 14 1/2 years so far. My husband is active duty Army as well. At our last duty station I started my degree for Veterinary Technician, which I continue to complete and also worked at Banfield for 2 1/2 years. I take my dog on walks almost daily. I currently am a stay at home mom, also an Army Reservist. Lots of time currently. I do plan on looking for a part time job in a veterinary clinic in the fall. I have one dog who is 9 and we have a good size backyard. My dog is currently kennel trained for when we are not home so I’m okay with kenneling your pet if needed.
“Giovanni was amazing with my cat, T'Challa. She sent updates with photos. I was put at ease when I met her and felt good about her caring for T'Challa. When needed again, I will definitely rebook.”

About: I have experience caring for both Huskies and Golden Retrievers, which has given me insight into different energy levels, personalities, and training styles. Huskies require structure and exercise, while Golden Retrievers are eager to please and highly social. Currently, I am raising a 9-week-old Golden Retriever, focusing on early training, socialization, and building healthy daily routines. Pet care is a consistent part of my daily routine and something I prioritize. Each day includes feeding, walks, playtime, and basic training, especially with my 9-week-old Golden Retriever who requires frequent attention and structure. I also make time for grooming, cleaning, and monitoring their health and behavior. Overall, caring for my pets is naturally built into my schedule and balanced alongside my other responsibilities. I care for pets in my home by providing a safe, clean, and structured environment where their needs are consistently met. This includes feeding them on a regular schedule, ensuring they always have fresh water, and giving them daily exercise and playtime. I focus on training and positive reinforcement, especially with my 9-week-old Golden Retriever, to build good habits early. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
