“I took my 4 month old puppy Sophie to stay with Lydia for a week. She has two dogs that made friends with Sophie right away. She has a great yard for the animals to run and play in. I received pictures and videos to make me feel more comfortable while I was gone. Sophie was well cared for and happy when I picked her up. I will definitely take Sophie to stay with Lydia again.”

“This is the first time we have boarded Rosie through Rover and we couldn’t have picked a better person. We felt comfortable knowing she was in good hands and getting updates about how she was doing. Definitely recommend!!”

“Maria was excellent! This was our first time using the app and being skeptical. However she communicated way more than we expected and sent us multiple of pictures and even allowed us to extend due to unforeseen circumstances. I highly recommend her and would go back without second thought.”

About: I have a 4 pound Yorkie and 40 pound blue heeler mix who loves to make new friends! Finding an overnight sitter that doesn’t break the bank, but you can also trust is hard, so that’s the service I want to provide! I work from home fully and take the dogs out at least every 2 hours! If your dog likes to run, we are also a big running family! I have a very flexible job and am fully remote. I start everyday with a walk and then am able to take the dogs out at least every 2 hours. Our bigger dog loves to fetch and play! We are close to a dog park! In my home, I have all carpeted areas fenced off, so dogs are allowed to roam around in the areas that are pet safe and they can’t do much damage!
About: I have experience caring for both Huskies and Golden Retrievers, which has given me insight into different energy levels, personalities, and training styles. Huskies require structure and exercise, while Golden Retrievers are eager to please and highly social. Currently, I am raising a 9-week-old Golden Retriever, focusing on early training, socialization, and building healthy daily routines. Pet care is a consistent part of my daily routine and something I prioritize. Each day includes feeding, walks, playtime, and basic training, especially with my 9-week-old Golden Retriever who requires frequent attention and structure. I also make time for grooming, cleaning, and monitoring their health and behavior. Overall, caring for my pets is naturally built into my schedule and balanced alongside my other responsibilities. I care for pets in my home by providing a safe, clean, and structured environment where their needs are consistently met. This includes feeding them on a regular schedule, ensuring they always have fresh water, and giving them daily exercise and playtime. I focus on training and positive reinforcement, especially with my 9-week-old Golden Retriever, to build good habits early. I also maintain grooming, keep their living areas clean, and monitor their health and behavior closely to make sure they are happy and well cared for. I have a fenced in back yard for free roam play.

“Amber was an amazing sitter for my Sam. Right off the bat I could tell she loves animals, and her dog Hank was the sweetest boy. I received so many pictures of them playing, snuggling and enjoying life. I love that my dog was allowed everywhere hers was (furniture, etc.) She took them to the dog park and on walks frequently. Her condo is in a safe neighborhood and is secure. Amber is very personable and I am thankful I found such a great person to watch Sam while I am away. I will definitely be using her often! Highly recommend her services. Thanks Amber and Hank!”
About: I currently work at a veterinary clinic and have extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and other animals with many different needs. I’m comfortable caring for senior and special-needs pets, administering owner-provided medications as directed, monitoring pets closely, and following veterinary instructions for pets that need extra attention. My animal experience also includes working at PetSmart and years of caring for my own dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles. I’m comfortable with many different personalities, sizes, ages, and care needs. I provide a safe, loving environment where your pet will receive plenty of attention, playtime, and individualized care. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so their safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my priority. I’ll care for your pet like they’re one of my own! Pet care is already a big part of my everyday life. I currently work at a veterinary clinic, so caring for animals is something I’m very comfortable with and genuinely enjoy. Before and after work, I have plenty of time to feed, walk, play with, monitor, and spend one-on-one time with the pets staying with me. I can also follow specific feeding schedules, medication schedules, exercise restrictions, or other instructions provided by the owner. Safety is always my top priority. I have a spacious home and a large backyard where pets can have plenty of room to play, exercise, and relax. I closely supervise animals and can keep pets separated when needed based on their personality, size, comfort level, or medical needs. Because of my veterinary clinic experience, I’m also comfortable noticing changes in behavior, eating, drinking, bathroom habits, or general condition. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, routines, medications, and any special needs. I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they are away from home.
“Michelle and her husband were the sweetest. We did a meet and greet so my nervous dog would be familiar with them and their home. They made him feel right at home. I wasn’t worried about my dog for a second. I knew he’d be in good hands. A yard to play and people to love on him.”

“Shadow had a blast staying with Jonathan for almost 10 days. He sent daily updates and photos of Shadow and she definitely will be tired for the next few days.”

“I’m really cautious about who watches my girls, but trust James in a heartbeat! Luna has so many allergies and he followed all of the details that Luna comes with to properly care for her! I never had a doubt about leaving my Luna with James. He also took the girls outside to play from time to time to release some of their pent up energy! When I brought my fur babies home they were exhausted and nap time all around. I always knew what was going on when I was out of town! Thanks James!!”

“She was great!!! Very accommodating to my crazy busy schedule during a hectic time. She taught my dog to "drop it" which is something I could never get her to do because my dog thinks it's more fun to just run away and I have to catch her. Oakley loved being there!”

“I cannot thank her enough for helping me with my puppy! He stayed over the weekend and she took great care of him. He was a little shy and she did great at keeping him comfortable. She sent me lots of pictures and updates as well. Definitely will be asking for her again!”

“Treated our baby as one of her own. Sent pictures throughout the entire stay along with updates on how our girl was doing. We already have our next day booked with Baylee. Would recommend to anyone!”

“Giovanni was amazing with my cat, T'Challa. She sent updates with photos. I was put at ease when I met her and felt good about her caring for T'Challa. When needed again, I will definitely rebook.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
