“Usually our dog, Regal, barks at anyone who comes to our door; however, he was immediately welcoming to Sarah. He quickly rubbed his nose on her leg, his personal welcome. She sent us regular pictures during his stay at their farm. We will definitely be going back.”

“Robin was absolutely amazing with our dogs while we were away for the week! She took such great care of both our puppy and our older dog, and we could tell they were happy, comfortable, and well loved the entire time. About: I have experience caring for cats, including those with anxiety and overgrooming. I currently care for my own cat and focus on keeping a calm, consistent environment. I’m comfortable with feeding, litter box care, medications, and paying attention to behavior changes. I take time to build trust with each cat and always provide updates and photos. I also grew up with puppies. I have experienced walking, going potty, and playing! Pet care fits naturally into my routine, especially in the evenings and on weekends. I have a consistent schedule and am available Wednesday through Friday in the evenings and Saturdays during the day. I already care for my own cat daily, so feeding, cleaning, and spending quality time with pets is something I’m used to. I plan my schedule carefully to make sure each pet gets reliable, on-time care and attention. In a client’s home, I follow your cat’s normal routine to keep things as stress-free as possible. I handle feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and playtime or quiet companionship depending on your cat’s personality. I take a calm, patient approach, especially with shy or anxious cats, and never force interaction. I also monitor behavior, administer medications if needed, and send regular updates with photos so you feel at ease while you’re away.
“Austin was incredible, and I would absolutely use him again! He sent me updates multiple times a day about how my dog was doing, pictures etc. He truly loves and cares about dogs, and is one of the best sitters I've ever used on Rover. Thank you so much!”

“My pup has never been so at home! She didn’t even want to leave and as soon as she did come home with me she barked me back to the car to take her back to Ute. Ute is wonderful and really went above and beyond to make sure my girl was well taken care of.”

“Ashley's wonderful!! Very trustworthy and loving, with our Willow. She gets great care and lots of TLC! Lots of pics and updates. We highly recommend Ashley!!”

“Bentley truly enjoyed his stay! Heather was responsive and communicated throughout the entire stay. 10/10 recommend, I believe we found Ben’s new sitter. Thank you so much for everything”

“we were so thankful to have such wonderful boarding experience with Kristen. Macy was traveling from out of town and felt right at home. Communications were excellent and we will strongly recommend her for others”

About: I’ve worked in the vet field, I’ve always had pets of my own, and I’ve taken care of the pets of family and friends! I have no problem feeding, bathing, or walking any sweet pet I can get my hands on! I’m currently on summer break from college and have a ton of free time! My schedule is free, and I’m open to adjustments at your request! I’m used to taking my dogs on leashed walks at my home, but it would be no issue to adjust to the needs of you and your pet(s). I love being active and would be more than happy to keep your pet(s) happy, on their regular schedule, and ready for your return.
“We are so happy to have found Sharon to watch our goldendoodle puppy. She took the best care of our dog while we were away. We were able to fully enjoy our trip knowing our little guy was in such good hands. I also loved the daily photo and video updates we got while we were away. We will definitely book with Sharon again!”

“Best Fur Baby Sitter ever. My husband and I went to Antigua and left our baby with Erika. She sent us updates and we could tell by each picture that our doggy was being well taken care of. From now on we will only use Erika!!!”

“Amazing host! Serenity was incredibly caring and patient with both my dog and me. My 2-year-old Maltipoo, Chase, stayed with her for over a month, and she considered all my requests and Chase’s requirements during his long stay. Serenity kept us updated with pictures and messages, making us feel close to our furry baby even when we were apart. Highly recommend Serenity for your furry baby!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
