About: I’m a homeowner with a huge fenced in backyard. I WFH so potty breaks and play time is not a problem. I have a 70lb golden retriever who loves to play. I take my own dog for a minimum of two walks a day. Most days I get out three or four times. I have a huge fenced in backyard for in between walks. I have a very sweet 5 year old golden who loves other dogs. I have experimented caring for super young all the way to end of life care for senior dogs.

“Janey did a great job with Leila and has a really nice fenced yard for her to sunbathe or run around. She kept in touch with pictures and updates frequently, so I knew my girl was in good hands. I would definitely use Janey again. Thanks!”
“We are new puppy owners and boarded our dog for the first overnight stay with Marissa. Marissa was wonderful and so caring to our sweet puppy who had some separation anxiety. Would 100% referral her to others as drop off/pick up was easy and her communication was fantastic. We are using her again in a few weeks so now will be a repeat customer.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Sarah and Kevin took amazing care of our dogs while we were away. From the daily updates and adorable photos to the genuine love and attention given, it was clear our pet was in great hands. They followed all instructions perfectly and went above and beyond to make sure our furry friend felt comfortable and happy. Highly recommend Sarah and Kevin for any dog sitting needs. We will definitely use them again!”

“We had to book our babies care last minute, so we were very stressed. We've had a couple of not so great Rover experiences, but she has restored our faith. Highly recommend!! ❤️”

“Lorie is the best! Our dog loves her, gets so excited when we pull in. She gives him so much love, lives in a very dog friendly house and has many places for him to snuggle up. Lorie sends daily photos and updates and is very responsive.”

“Anita was such a wonderful find for us. Our prior Rover had gotten married and moved away so we needed to establish a new relationship. We just completed our first stay with Anita and could not have been more comfortable. We scheduled a meet and greet before the stay and I could immediately tell it would be a wonderful connection for our Italian Greyhound. Big beautiful fenced backyard provided plenty of room to play off the leash. If you have a small dog and are looking for a trusted sitter please reach out to Anita.”

“Mo was absolutely amazing. Kept me informed with videos and pictures once a day. She kept me updated about how he was doing as well. She had a very nice big fenced yard for him. Would definitely recommend!”

“My dogs had an incredible time with Ashley, she sends tons of pics to keep you updated on how much fun they are having and is always super responsive. She’s now our go to sitter!”

“Serenity did a wonderful job hosting our pup. She provided frequent updates with photos, and was very responsive to all communication. Would absolutely book with again!!”

“Our dog loved hanging out with Ana. She was incredibly responsive and took our dog for walks frequently. Ana also sent photos and updates on how she’s doing. Will rebook when we’re away again!”

About: I have experience caring for cats, including those with anxiety and overgrooming. I currently care for my own cat and focus on keeping a calm, consistent environment. I’m comfortable with feeding, litter box care, medications, and paying attention to behavior changes. I take time to build trust with each cat and always provide updates and photos. I also grew up with puppies. I have experienced walking, going potty, and playing! Pet care fits naturally into my routine, especially in the evenings and on weekends. I have a consistent schedule and am available Wednesday through Friday in the evenings and Saturdays during the day. I already care for my own cat daily, so feeding, cleaning, and spending quality time with pets is something I’m used to. I plan my schedule carefully to make sure each pet gets reliable, on-time care and attention. In a client’s home, I follow your cat’s normal routine to keep things as stress-free as possible. I handle feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and playtime or quiet companionship depending on your cat’s personality. I take a calm, patient approach, especially with shy or anxious cats, and never force interaction. I also monitor behavior, administer medications if needed, and send regular updates with photos so you feel at ease while you’re away.
“Carla is absolutely amazing. Her communication is great, she responds very quickly to answer any questions and coordinate care. She cared for my cats like they were her own. We needed care during a move back to the States from overseas and she was so flexible to answer any questions ahead of time, coordinated meeting to pick up and drop off our cats, and cared for them for 2 weeks. What a relief and help during a very stressful time.”

“I must say this was the best dog sitting experience I have had. Austin was wonderful. His home was clean. And my dog is a big dog so there was plenty of yard for my dog to run and get exercise. As well as plenty of space indoors. He sent pictures and kept me updated on how Nova was doing. Very friendly and will definitely be using his services again.”

“Alexsandra was great! She sent many pictures and updates and was very kind about how energetic Bruno can be. Bruno loved playing with her pup and came back exhausted!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
