“Ava was so great with my cat! She was super communicative and I can tell she really cares about taking care of animals:) My cat had a great time and I'm super grateful for her flexibility & dedication. Thank you Ava!”

“Austie was the best host to our dog Lady! She was extremely communicative, kind, and timely. She gave constant updates and photos to go along with the updates. She was transparent about other dogs staying and was very detailed about their routine! We felt so much peace of mind knowing our hyper-girl was in good hands!”

“Daniel was great with my two rat terriers. Kept me updated on how they were doing with txt and pics. When I came to get my dogs they were the same way I left them. Not stressed at all and that was very comforting. Will book again.”

About: I am a passionate animals lover with 10+ years of hands-on experience working in veterinary hospitals, boarding facilities and animald ERs. I have cared for dogs of all breeds and temperaments and am comfortable administering medications to both dogs and cats when needed. “Katie & her boyfriend did an amazing job with our beautiful baby girl! Kali had a blast on her Christmas farm getaway. We didn’t have enough food for her, so they bought a new bag for her. she enjoyed playing with all her new friends. She was very happy when she returned to us without a scratch. we didn’t realize how long the dirt road was, it took a little bit with our a Honda sedan, but then we asked if they could drop her back home and they did! We will be using Katie again :-)”

“Tyler is a kind and caring pet sitter for Holly. She did pretty well there. Tyler cared for her pre-existing paw wound very well. He treated Holly as his own and sent photos to us regularly. Tyler is great with dogs and thorough in their care and enjoyment. He communicates promptly and gives all his love to the dogs.”

About: What sets me apart is that I genuinely care about every pet as if they were my own. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and needs, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’m patient with shy dogs, energetic enough to keep active pups entertained, and attentive to senior dogs who may need extra care and a slower pace. I provide plenty of updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is to create a stress-free experience for both you and your fur baby. Since I don’t currently work outside the home, pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine and allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins. I have a flexible schedule, so I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, stick closely to their normal routine, and accommodate different care needs, whether that’s daytime visits, evening care, or overnight stays. I enjoy being hands-on with animals and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owner is away. I have 3 very friendly puppies to keep your pup entertained. If caring for pets in my home, safety comes first. I keep the environment clean, secure, and supervised, and I make sure introductions with other animals are handled carefully if needed. I always prioritize a calm environment, safe play, and making sure each pet has a comfortable place to rest.

My pup was happy and healthy and well loved and taken care of while I was gone for a week. Megan and Jeremy went above and beyond to help me out since I do not have a vehicle. Huge relief to find someone in my area that I can trust with my pup. Definitely will be calling them in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
