“We were so fortunate to find Pam and utilize her dog-sitting services (our first time to use Rover as well). It had been a while since we had boarded our two "girls", and we had a lengthy vacation in Europe planned. We connected with Pam through Rover and conducted a site visit. Great property and set-up for dog-sitting, and it was comforting to meet Pam, learn of her experience keeping pets, and were assured by her confidence and comfort level in keeping pets. While on our trip, Pam provided timely updates and photos of the girls, and even alerted us to a potential health issue with one of them. We had a great experience using Pam and highly recommend her!”

“We are repeat clients of Katie and will continue to be so. She is fabulous, my dog now knows we turned on her road where he’s going and his tail goes 100 miles an hour. She’s a great communicator often sending fun photos where my dog is always outside running around with another dog. He is in heaven.. You wanna feel relaxed while you’re out of town and know your dog is having the best time ever Katie is your person for sure!”

“Michele and her family were fantastic! They took the time to get to know my fur baby and it was obvious from the start that they cared for him like their own! Opie loved their fenced in backyard and playing with the kids. He slept the entire day after pick up! Will definitely be using them in the future!”

“Michelle and her family took such great care of my nervous pup. They made him feel really comfortable and sent great updates. I would feel confident leaving Chance in their care in the future!”

“Alexis and her husband Jason, took such great care of our boy, Bronco. Their dog Finn and Bronco got along perfect. They went above and beyond to take him to dog parks, teach agility, and made him part of the family. They will be our regulars! :)”
“Tiana was a sweetheart when we met her ahead of time to check out the home that Misty was going to be staying at. Misty really took to her when we left & Tiana sent me a few photos of my baby girl even tho we were only gone a couple days. She seemed very caring & loving & my little dog, altho was happy to see me when we got back, seemed to be content in Tiana's arms. thank you Tiana for making a home away from home for Misty.”

“Michelle was fantastic! She has kept my pups on several occasions, and they were almost always on super short notice, but she came through every time. I have an elderly dog who has had multiple knee operations, that can be very anxious in new environments, and a husky that can be more than a handful at times, but Michelle is amazing and is able to meet their individual needs beyond what anyone could expect from a dog sitter. She is organized and professional and you can tell right off the bat how much she cares for all of the dogs that she cares for. I am so thankful to have her to take care of my pups when I can’t. I would highly recommend to anyone needing a sitter.”

“Kaitlyn was wonderful about communicating and sending updates about my dog. I feel confident she was well loved and was taken to the dog park to get her energy out. It was a relief to my husband and I knowing she was having fun and she was safe while we were on vacation.”

“Gracie, was amazing. She took care of baby like one of her own. She was punctual, loving, caring and all around a great pup nanny. We will recommend her to anyone on here looking for a sitter”

“Isabella was a great host for our two pups! They were very content when we picked them up, got lots of outside time, and she went out of her way to send pictures and updates that were very appreciated. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Bo had an absolutely wonderful time with Sherri. She sent daily updates, pictures, and gave him lots of love and attention while he was there. Highly recommend using Sherri- Bo can’t wait to go back in the future!”

About: I have taken care of family’s pets and friend’s pets. I can care for small to large dogs by going for walks, potty breaks, feeding them, and having playtime. I’m currently very flexible, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I take bookings that usually range from mid-morning to night. I can’t bring pets to my house as my cats are territorial. I know how to do basic grooming on cats, I will always make sure to clean up any messes that I or a pet makes, and I will give your pet as much attention as he or she needs
“we were so thankful to have such wonderful boarding experience with Kristen. Macy was traveling from out of town and felt right at home. Communications were excellent and we will strongly recommend her for others”

About: I am a passionate animals lover with 10+ years of hands-on experience working in veterinary hospitals, boarding facilities and animald ERs. I have cared for dogs of all breeds and temperaments and am comfortable administering medications to both dogs and cats when needed. I currently work from home with the flexibility to do other things through out my day. I choose to fill that or my free time taking care of animals! I have a fenced yard and a clean safe home for your pets to play, roam, feel safe and comfortable. I no longer have pets of my own.
“Sharon and her husband gave our dog wonderful care and attention. Sharon sent photos and updates every day. She is a clear communicator and we have zero complaints. Happy to book this sitter again in the future!”

About: From a young age, loving animals, caring for animals, and preferring their company to others, has been Todd's and mine passion. We have taken care of different kind of animals from the smallest insect to the largest horse. We enjoy working with animals as they bring unconditional love and companionship. We have provided medical treatment to the sick and elderly: i.e. administering medication through needles and syringes to cats; nursed daily the wounds from when my boxer had a cyst removed; and each morning and evening I make sure my current boxer has her Benadryl to keep her allergies away. Even though we are both slightly physically disabled, we still have the ability to help provide care to your beloved fur babies and meet their needs. I hope you will trust your fur babies and non-fur babies to our tender-loving-care We are early risers because puppies need an early riser to get them used to a routine. We also keep puppies to a strict routine because they need to learn from an early age when to go outside, when to be fed, when it's play time, and when it's nap time. We have a corner lot house with a fully fenced in yard that is routinely sprayed each season for ticks, fleas, and all other bugs that are harmful to the pets. I can offer plenty of exercise as I ride the sidewalk, bike path, or side streets and the dogs jog, walk, and run alongside me. When I am out with them I make sure they stay on the right side of me, on the grass or sidewalk, so as not to be hit by any cars. If pets need to be kept apart because of different temperament, I have a dog gate they can be separated with. I do ask that the owners bring their crates, when boarding at my house, if a crate is needed. I do have plenty of dog beds they can use, but most animals prefer to have their own beds when staying in unfamiliar houses.

Couldn’t have been a better experience! Alex and his wife were so warm and welcoming. Their dog Archie was so sweet and my dog blue loved him! He didn’t want to come home 😆 Alex was wonderful with giving me updates and photos which I appreciated! I never worried if Blue was doing okay and that alone is huge. I will absolutely be booking with Alex again and again!

Everything went great! Allowed me to hang out for a bit on drop off to make sure my dog got along with the others that were there and get him acclimated. Kept me updated that things were going well during visit. Communicated very well up front and throughout. Will be going right back next time I need a dog sitter.
Shelby was wonderful to work with! She took Axel on daily walks and sent us lots of pictures and videos keeping up comforted that Axel was safe and happy while we were away. I will definitely use Shelby as our sitter again and highly recommend her to anyone else.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
