“Abby was absolutely fantastic! She was prompt with every check in and sent photos. She made sure our fur babies were well taken care of while we were gone. Highly recommend Abby!!!”

“Kay has a way about her that my 2 cats quickly became her buddies. I loved the daily pics and seeing that my cats were themselves while I was away, not hiding or being ridiculous. That tells me a lot about how comfortable they are in her presence. Kay is my forever go-to when she's available from now on!! Thank you, Kay, for being so good to Jasper & Margo. And sorry it took me a few months to post a review!”

About: Hi! My name is Hannah, and I’m a dependable, caring animal lover with experience caring for dogs of various breeds and personalities. Along with regularly dog sitting for family, I also work as a nanny, so being responsible, attentive, and following routines is already a big part of my daily life. I currently specialize in caring for small to medium-sized dogs and enjoy providing a safe, calm, and loving environment while their owners are away. Whether your dog needs walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, medication reminders, or simply companionship, I’m happy to help. I’m comfortable with: • Small and medium-sized dogs • Multiple pets at once • Following feeding and medication schedules • Overnight stays • Drop-in visits • Walks and playtime • Providing regular photo and video updates I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I’ll treat your dog with the same patience, kindness, and attention that I would want for my own pets. My goal is to make sure both you and your dog feel comfortable, confident, and cared for throughout the entire experience. I’m naturally calm, detail-oriented, and dependable, and I enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality and routine. I currently have flexible availability, especially on Mondays and Fridays, and I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I currently work as a nanny part-time during the week, which gives me flexibility to provide pet care before and after work as well as on Mondays, Fridays, evenings, and weekends. I am available for drop-in visits, dog walks, and house sitting, and I always do my best to accommodate each pet’s normal routine. I understand how important consistency is for pets and will make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and any special care requests provided by owners. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality and needs to help them feel comfortable and secure. I also provide regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and care I would expect for my own.
“Thank you so much for stepping in on short notice! I felt confident after talking with you that everything was going to be alright since we were out of state with very little time to vet our dog sitter! Thank you!”

“Alexander has been an amazing sitter for my pup! I can’t say enough about how he makes my day easier while at work knowing that my dog is in good hands. Thank you Alexander!”

About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs since I was 9. Neighbors have relied on me to care for their cat while away for work. Friends have called on me to feed, walk and care for their dog on weekends. And I have worked professionally with dogs, cats and goats since 2017, having also been entrusted with bathing them and giving necessary medication. I'm currently working full time which gives me plenty of time to play with your pups or kitties in the evenings or weekends. I am free most weekdays after 6:30pm and am flexible on weekends. I care for my pets by having adequate food and water always available. I do crate dogs if needed, but follow the lead of the owner. I try to keep a clean space and give lots of love to all pets involved.
“Carrie is the best. She came at the last minute and helped us in a bind. She loved on our 2 cats and communicated extremely well!! I will hire her again. Highly recommend her!!”

“Alivia has been absolutely lovely. I know my girl is well cared for and so happy/ less anxious when I get home. Having her come by when I am stuck on a long shift is such a gift.”

“Olivia did an amazing job taking care of our 2 dogs. She had great communication, always provided pictures and updates, and took extra special care. We would highly recommend her as she goes above and beyond to care for your animals as if they are her own.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a child. We owned multiple different breeds growing up and as an adult I’ve owned a Cane Corso and currently own an Australian shepherd. I have a very active dog so I walk him very early in the morning but then he works with my husband all day so he gets enrichment through his tasks at work. Personally, I currently work remotely and it’s extremely flexible so I am able to meet you and your pups needs! I can easily pop in and out for check-ins, feedings, medication, walks, etc. I’ve worked with many different set ups so I’m comfortable if you need me to just drop your pup back in his yard, home or even back into his/her crate after a visit.
“Meghan did a great job taking care of our dog. She was dependable and made sure our dog felt comfortable and loved while we were gone. We would definitely book her again in the future.”

“Jemma did a wonderful job checking in on our pup. Very friendly, timely and caring! Definitely recommend her taking care of pets. We plan to get her to help again in the future. Thanks Jemma!! 💕”

“Kurstin is great, she leaves wonderful details and pics with each visit. I get the sense that she genuinely cares about the pets she visits, that is very comforting to know. You'll be hard pressed to find a sitter that is better than her.”
“Rayana is super attentive and great with the dogs. She gets right down on the floor with them to play with them. She lets the dogs out, supervises them while they're in the yard and is very reliable. She really goes above and beyond to make sure the girls are well taken care of.”
About: Experienced dog and cat whisperer of 10+ years. Brand new to the DMV from Nashville and looking for new fur babies to call friends I've been trusted for walks, administering medicine, daycare pickups and more. My care for your pet comes with a little extra sparkle through playing, snuggling up, and sending magical moments via photo or video so you don't miss out on their loving while you're away! Because I have a career dependent on gigs and rehearsal times. My days are typically wide open. Unless I am required for a daytime rehearsal, most weekdays I can be available anywhere ranging from 6am-5pm (Weekends vary from time to time.) I ensure trust by establishing very clear lines of communication and asking lots of questions. I always want to be doubly sure of what I am being asked. I send text updates to let my clients know their pets are safe and secure or whenever anything out of the ordinary happens. Typically a key is left for me to easily access the owners home which allows me to keep it in a safe space without taking it with me and losing it. Sometimes when I do pick-ups and drop offs from daycare I make sure doors in the home are closed so dogs don't run through rooms they aren't supposed to be in. I make sure food and water bowls are cleaned and there are no potentially dangerous objects around by tidying up some if necessary.

About: I know leaving your fur babies can be scary for both you and for them, believe me..I've been there. I'll do everything possible to make your time away as painless as possible for your family and to help keep your mind at ease by keeping in touch and keeping you updated as much as you like. A little about me: Well, I am an animal lover for sure. I have one quirky poodle named "Fro". He's my sidekick. I am patient and loving and Fro is pretty friendly. I have had either a dog or cat, or both, my entire life and since old enough have provided the primary care for our animals. I like people and children, of course, but I am partial to animals and fiercely protective of them. If you don't like animals, I'm actually a little leery about you! ❤️ I am very flexible and open to your requests and routines. I am home full-time, so again I'm very flexible to the needs of your pets! ***I have recently changed my profile not to host at my home at this time and only offer house sitting and drop-ins, but am still amenable to working out something to meet your needs!*** Other than traveling a few times a year or overlapping sitting jobs, I am generally always available for both daily drop ins and housesitting. I am, for the most part, available for last minute jobs. Your dog’s comfort, their safety and needs, as well as your level of comfort, with me coming into and/or staying in your home are of the utmost importance to me. Whether it be drop ins or over nights, I want you to feel as comfortable as possible and will go above and beyond to make that happen. I hope my reviews on my stays on this site provide with some comfort as well as the knowledge that I have several clients that travel often and have me stay in their home multiple times each year and would be more than happy to provide a reference on my behalf. I no longer work full-time so I am available around the clock for pet care needs. Such availability allows me to meet the needs of most requests, even those that may not be a conventional schedule or situation. As stated, I no longer offer services inside my home for boarding or doggy day care. Please still feel free to reach out if you would to discuss potential other options.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Columbia
I can’t say enough good things about Meghan. We got to meet her for a face to face walk through before our trip and we both were instantly comfortable with her. We told her the cats were uncomfortable with new people and not to be surprised if they didn’t come out much, but from her very first visit, she sent us tons of pictures of them all swarming around her for pets. I was shocked how quickly they accepted her and welcomed her into the house. Communication was excellent at each visit and she went above and beyond not just to do what we asked but to actually take the time to love on each of the cats and even play with them with some of their favorite cat toys and give them treats. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely reach out to her again for all our future trips out of town. She was a perfect fit and when we got home, the house was in perfect order and our babies were all super happy! Meghan is definitely a 5 star sitter. You and your babies will love her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
