“Abigail was awesome!!!! She did 2 drop in visits a day for a week for my cat and he loved her. He usually takes a little bit to warm up to someone, but by day 2 or 3 he was curled up on her lap in a photo she sent. What a relief! So happy I chose her. She also made sure to visit first, before she accepted, which I couldn’t have been happier about. This way she got to meet me and my cat and get the lay of the land with where everything was. Not everyone on Rover offers that, that’s for sure. She even went above and beyond. I realized that after I left my front door lock was losing power, I was so nervous it was going to go out and there would be no way for her to get in before the week was up, so I told her where everything was and asked if she can change the batteries and she did it immediately. She did such a great job all around! I’ll definitely use her again.”

About: Hello! I’m Beckah, and I’m so excited to meet you and your best friend(s)! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I’ve had dogs my whole life and have had the privilege of caring for them through every stage, with a particularly soft spot for senior dogs and the extra patience, compassion, and care they deserve. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel safe and at ease while they’re in my care. I’m happy to tailor their care to whatever makes them happiest; whether that’s checking in throughout the day, spending time playing and giving plenty of pets, or taking long walks (leisurely or otherwise!) where we can stop to smell every flower along the way. “Going out for sniffs” is what we called it with my best friend and soul dog, Rylee, who was by my side for 17 years. I promise to care for them like they’re my own. I have plenty of flexibility and am happy to work around yours and your pets schedule! For walks, I prefer to get an earlier start so as to protect them and their paws from the heat, but with temperatures finally starting to come down, we can hopefully start to do mid-day walks again soon! I believe every pet deserves to be cared for with patience, kindness, and respect. When caring for your pet I’ll take the time to understand their routine, personality, and individual needs so they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own. About: I've owned and taken care of dogs my whole life. I house-sit and pet-sit for several family friends and relatives. I'm experienced with all kinds of animals. I've owned a very wide array of animals throughout my life, all the way from farm animals to reptiles, fish, rodents and everything in-between. My favorite animal is dogs of all kinds, but I can take care of other animals. I can do all kinds of medications and any special cares needs that your baby might need. I work from home and make my own schedule so I'm always available to host animals, house-sit animals, or just stop by for play time and potty time as frequently as needed. I have a fur baby of my own who is just over 3 years old and she loves other dogs. I have a fenced in yard where your fur babies can run and play freely. My baby is crate trained but can also be trusted to be left out. We let our dogs get on the furniture and sleep in the bed with us.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12 years old. We’ve always had pets growing up, so I took part in walking, feeding, bathing, and loving many dogs. I even raised puppies when our dog had her own, bottle fed them, and trained them. We also have a golden retriever who I spend a lot of time loving on! I’m a nurse so I have several days off a week, but the days I am free vary! I know the days I’m scheduled to work months in advance, and it is pretty much set. We live in an apartment that is safe and pet friendly. It’s on the first floor. I’m very mindful of your space and taking care of your pup by your rules and what works best for him/her!

Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
