About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12 years old. We’ve always had pets growing up, so I took part in walking, feeding, bathing, and loving many dogs. I even raised puppies when our dog had her own, bottle fed them, and trained them. We also have a golden retriever who I spend a lot of time loving on! I’m a nurse so I have several days off a week, but the days I am free vary! I know the days I’m scheduled to work months in advance, and it is pretty much set. We live in an apartment that is safe and pet friendly. It’s on the first floor. I’m very mindful of your space and taking care of your pup by your rules and what works best for him/her!

“Abigail was awesome!!!! She did 2 drop in visits a day for a week for my cat and he loved her. He usually takes a little bit to warm up to someone, but by day 2 or 3 he was curled up on her lap in a photo she sent. What a relief! So happy I chose her. She also made sure to visit first, before she accepted, which I couldn’t have been happier about. This way she got to meet me and my cat and get the lay of the land with where everything was. Not everyone on Rover offers that, that’s for sure. She even went above and beyond. I realized that after I left my front door lock was losing power, I was so nervous it was going to go out and there would be no way for her to get in before the week was up, so I told her where everything was and asked if she can change the batteries and she did it immediately. I work from home and make my own schedule so I'm always available to host animals, house-sit animals, or just stop by for play time and potty time as frequently as needed. I have a fur baby of my own who is just over 3 years old and she loves other dogs. I have a fenced in yard where your fur babies can run and play freely. My baby is crate trained but can also be trusted to be left out. We let our dogs get on the furniture and sleep in the bed with us.

Michelle went above and beyond, staying for longer than she was hired to, putting my pup’s needs first, even if that was inconvenient timewise. She was also such a calm presence, that it even made me wonder if my dog cared that I was gone LOL. When I got home, I could tell that he really had felt safe with her just from the fact that he was excited but wasn’t anxious when he saw me. I could tell that he had been comfortable a few days I was gone, and I owe all of that to Michelle. I would absolutely recommend and plan to hire her in the future.
