“Sherri did a fantastic job taking care of our little guy. We received multiple pictures and video updates daily. Would highly recommend and will be rebooking in the future.”

“Austie was the best host to our dog Lady! She was extremely communicative, kind, and timely. She gave constant updates and photos to go along with the updates. She was transparent about other dogs staying and was very detailed about their routine! We felt so much peace of mind knowing our hyper-girl was in good hands!”

About: I've had dogs all my life, but grew up loving animals of all kinds. I have previously done pet check-ins and dog walks on Rover. I did not do in-house sitting, in order to keep my house my senior dog's safe space. But I lost my best friend after 17 1/2 years, and am missing the friendship and companionship in my home. I have been helping a local rescue with short term fostering when one of their fosters goes on vacation, as well as holiday fostering with Williamson County Animal Center. I would like to slowly open my home to new furry dog friends. I am familiar with senior dog issues and giving medications in pill and powder form, however, I don't have experience with injections, so I would not be the best fit if your pet requires those. I work at home full time during the week 7:00-4:00. Although I am home during the day and mostly available, I do have meetings throughout the day and can get pulled into conference calls, so I am not always instantly available and will need a little notice to book or cancel so that I can make sure I see your message and have availability when you drop off/pick up. I am open on how to best care for your pet based on your needs. I know from having a senior dog they all have their little quirks that make each one different. Do they have special food or special needs? Please let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate them. I just lost my best fur friend after 17 1/2 years, so I am looking for other fur friends to love on. I work full time from home, and am mostly available when not in meetings/calls. I would like to meet/call pet parents before their pet's first overnight stay and get as much information and instruction as possible. I want to make sure that the pet parent's expectations are met.
“This was our first time boarding our pup and Jessica made this super easy! She updated with frequent pictures! Super happy and will be using them again in the near future”

“Christian is a top-notch dog sitter. She is very caring and works closely with the owners. We felt comfortable with her immediately! Her communication is superb, and our pup was very happy staying with Christian and her family during our vacation. We have a new dog sitter and friend!”

“Kylie was great with our dog, provided many updates, and was a fantastic companion to him while we were out of town! She even gave him a bath which was above and beyond. He was a happy guy for his week long stay with her, thank you Kylie!”

“Brian and his family were excellent caregivers for Rex while we were gone. They sent frequent pictures and text updates to let us know how he was. Plus, Rex loved them and wanted to be by their side, which is a great sign! The large piece of property was perfect for Rex to run around and get some exercise. We would definitely choose them to watch him again! Highly recommended!”

“Jennifer (and her husband) were very welcoming, accommodating and accepting when we first met in their home. My daughter, who just turned fourteen and is usually shy with strangers, felt very comfortable meeting them. As for our Yuki, he felt right at home and began exploring and making friends with their pup as well. I received photos that showed our puppy happy and playful. He was well taken care of and I would gladly use Jennifer’s services again! I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a home where your pet will be loved and well taken care of!”

“Couldn’t have been a better experience! Alex and his wife were so warm and welcoming. Their dog Archie was so sweet and my dog blue loved him! He didn’t want to come home 😆 Alex was wonderful with giving me updates and photos which I appreciated! I never worried if Blue was doing okay and that alone is huge. I will absolutely be booking with Alex again and again!”

“Pamela and her family were very nice to Roman. I got pictures and video while out of town. Roman is older and set in his ways. They made him feel at home. We will definitely use them again. I would highly recommend them to anyone.”

“She was great. Got daily pics and updates on my dog and their place had a big backyard for daily exercise. Their kids were very nice as well and you could tell they were animal lovers.”

“Such an incredible experience for us and our pups. Pam brought our dogs in like they were her own and they had the most wonderful stay. Will absolutely be using her again.”

“Katie took excellent care of Princess and Gizmo at her home! When we picked up the dogs they were happy to see us, but also sadden to leave their vacation and new friends behind. Gizmo and Princess had other boxers to play with and they all got along splendidly. Katie was patient and empathetic in dealing with Gizmo's puppy inconsistencies and I truly thank her for tolerating them. When we go out of town again, we will definitely leave Gizmo and Princess in Katie's care again! Thank you, Katie and to "all" that helped care for our boxers!”
“Michelle is AMAZING! She is a true professional, she knows how to cater to every type of dog and it is evident that she does everything in this aspect with love and respect for your animal. Her house is perfectly set up for dog sitting and boarding. She is AMAZING with communication (pictures, texts, stories about your dog etc) she is AMAZING with organization during a sometimes hectic drop off and pick up - never hectic with her. She is AMAZING with pricing, and she is AMAZING at providing the best care for your beloved furry friend for as long as you need it. I truly can not recommend her enough, my only regret is we didn't find her sooner.”
“Simone took such incredible care of my Maltipoo, Lucy! From the moment I dropped her off, I knew she was in great hands. Simone sent daily updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. You can truly tell that she treats every dog she watches as if they were her own, giving them all the love, attention, and care they deserve. Lucy looked so happy and comfortable in every picture, and it was obvious she was having the best time. I’m so grateful for the care Simone provided and will absolutely be booking with her again in the future! If you’re considering booking Simone, this is your sign! Do not hesitate! Your pup will be loved and well cared for ❤️🐾”

“Anita is the best! She has a sweet Italian greyhound who played very well with our miniature schnauzer; she has a large wonderful back yard, perfect for zooming around; she showed extra concern for Ripley’s hard floor phobia and put down runners for him so he could roam the house; she even let him sleep in his bed on her bed, something he doesn’t get to do at home. He loves his stay with her!”

“Kristin was so kind and easy to work with. Her set up was perfect for Ren to have space to run and play and be safe. I appreciated the pics she sent of him playing with her dog, Walter. We will certainly choose Kristin again for future pet needs! Highly recommend!”

“Huri took great care of Frankie and provided updates and I know she went out of her way to make Frankie feel comfortable during his full week stay. Frankie came home calm and tired and I know he was well cared for. I definitely plan on having Huri watch my dog next time I’m out of town! Thank you Huri!”

About: I grew up with a variety of animals and have raised several dogs from puppies. I’ve adopted difficult dogs that were set to be put down and worked with them to become amazing family members. Big dogs are my specialty. I work from home most of the week so I can make it out to walk your pups on my breaks or morning and evening. I can also pet sit in your home in the evenings and on weekends. My wife and I work as a team. She is a pet groomer and loves animals of all kinds. Walks, playing, feeding, giving them all them loves they could ask for. Need a bath or nail trim? We can also discuss things like that.

Serenity is the best and sweetest person! she took very good care of my babies, it was my first time boarding so I was a little nervous but she made me feel comfortable and reassured that everything was okay. with daily photos and messages I knew my pups were in good hands.

Kaitlyn was wonderful about communicating and sending updates about my dog. I feel confident she was well loved and was taken to the dog park to get her energy out. It was a relief to my husband and I knowing she was having fun and she was safe while we were on vacation.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
