“I appreciate everything Crystal did for river as she is a bit nervous with new places. I got pictures everyday and very fast feedback! I’ve already booked 3 more stays!”

“Trish is a very kind host and did great with our 1 year old Australian Shepherd. She has a great space downstairs where she's able to watch dogs, and I felt great leaving our dog with her. Our dog, Willow, loved her too! Highly recommend booking Trish!”

“I had to go out of town for the weekend and thought my only option was to board my dog at the vet until I found Rover. Heather did great with my dog and I know that Lucy got cared for properly and not just left alone. I will definitely use Heather again in the future.”

“Austie was great with Greta. It was a last minute trip and she accepted the booking i12 hours before we would drop off our pup. Greta is a little nervous in those situations but Austie was great with her. We got photos of their walks and even one of our girl curled Up in a blanket on the couch! Hams for being so seeet to Greta Austie!”

“Erika & Erik were excellent sitters. They took great care of our pit mix, were very attentive to his needs, and their home was a lovely environment for him with a fenced in yard. Sent picture updates everyday!”

About: Hi! I’m a high school teacher who teaches culinary arts. At home, I have a golden retriever, Saffron and a Labradoodle, Leo. I live on 2 1/2 acres, one of which is fenced in and perfect for furry friends to run and play! I am a teacher and gone from 7 am to 3:30 pm, but my parents live next door and watch my animals when I am away. Growing up, my brother had a service dog who was part Great Dane and part Black Lab. He became part of the family! I think that’s what started my love for animals. Since college, I’ve had at least one pet. While in Culinary school, I worked long hours. For Christmas, I got my cat, Basil. She was at the door with a “meow” at the end of long days in the kitchen. When I began my career as a culinary teacher, I bought my first house with a back yard and almost immediately added my girls, Sage and Sketch to the household! I work full time as a high school teacher. but live next door to my parents who watch over my pets. They love them as if they were their own! I have an acre, fenced in back yard. My dogs love the country, running and playing in the back yard! They are house dogs, but love the chance to run as much as possible.

“I am very appreciative of Emmet. He went above and beyond and took care of Bella. We were updated with Bella pictures while we were in trip. Definitely a great experience. I would recommend Emmet to all needing a wonderful place to board their dog…”

“Once again Roy continues to be the Dream Sitter! He is responsive whenever I check in and has the knowledge and patience of a great trainer. I have the confidence that Roy treats my Mack Boy as his own and that gives me the peace I need to enjoy my time away (20 days). The Pattersons Rockvale, TN”

“T sent us fun pics every 2 days, was very responsive, and returned Meemo in great shape. She was also super accommodating when we split the stay between my wife and I (we each had $50 Rover credit). Great value for us! Seems like Meemo got lots of exercise and social interaction with the other dogs, which we're very happy about. She even came back smelling good - a bonus we would not have expected. :)”

“Kaitlyn was wonderful about communicating and sending updates about my dog. I feel confident she was well loved and was taken to the dog park to get her energy out. It was a relief to my husband and I knowing she was having fun and she was safe while we were on vacation.”

“Kane was very well taken care of with Daniel. They went above and beyond for my sweet boy. He enjoyed being with the other dogs and going on walks. I appreciate the time spent making sure my pup was well taken care of while we were away. Thank you!”

“We were beyond happy with Tifaney’s care for our pup. She sent us regular updates and photos. Our girl had the best time and loved all the cuddles and playing with the children. She was so happy when we picked her up and is also looking forward to going back to Tifaneys family soon!”

“Stephanie went above and beyond to take care of our pups while out of town for an entire week. We received photos and videos every day. She was quick to respond and made sure our pups were well taken care of. We will definitely use her again in the future!”

About: I have taken care of family’s pets and friend’s pets. I can care for small to large dogs by going for walks, potty breaks, feeding them, and having playtime. I’m currently very flexible, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I take bookings that usually range from mid-morning to night. I can’t bring pets to my house as my cats are territorial. I know how to do basic grooming on cats, I will always make sure to clean up any messes that I or a pet makes, and I will give your pet as much attention as he or she needs
About: From a young age, loving animals, caring for animals, and preferring their company to others, has been Todd's and mine passion. We have taken care of different kind of animals from the smallest insect to the largest horse. We enjoy working with animals as they bring unconditional love and companionship. We have provided medical treatment to the sick and elderly: i.e. administering medication through needles and syringes to cats; nursed daily the wounds from when my boxer had a cyst removed; and each morning and evening I make sure my current boxer has her Benadryl to keep her allergies away. Even though we are both slightly physically disabled, we still have the ability to help provide care to your beloved fur babies and meet their needs. I hope you will trust your fur babies and non-fur babies to our tender-loving-care We are early risers because puppies need an early riser to get them used to a routine. We also keep puppies to a strict routine because they need to learn from an early age when to go outside, when to be fed, when it's play time, and when it's nap time. We have a corner lot house with a fully fenced in yard that is routinely sprayed each season for ticks, fleas, and all other bugs that are harmful to the pets. I can offer plenty of exercise as I ride the sidewalk, bike path, or side streets and the dogs jog, walk, and run alongside me. When I am out with them I make sure they stay on the right side of me, on the grass or sidewalk, so as not to be hit by any cars. If pets need to be kept apart because of different temperament, I have a dog gate they can be separated with. I do ask that the owners bring their crates, when boarding at my house, if a crate is needed. I do have plenty of dog beds they can use, but most animals prefer to have their own beds when staying in unfamiliar houses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
