“I had to go out of town for the weekend and thought my only option was to board my dog at the vet until I found Rover. Heather did great with my dog and I know that Lucy got cared for properly and not just left alone. I will definitely use Heather again in the future.”

“We are so glad to have found Crystal! She has watched our dog, Blue a few times now and always takes such good care of him. We really appreciate the updates and photos to make us feel better about leaving him.”

“Our fur baby loves Tifaney! I know she’s being well cared for because she runs to Tifaney’s door when we arrive and we get lots of photos while we’re away.”

“I had the best experience with Emmett and his wife! They were so communicative, accommodating and sent me a few pics of my senior “baby” throughout each day! They were flexible and extremely loving to my dog. I would recommend them over and over! Grateful to have good folks to leave her with!”
“Katie I thank you, your Mom, and Justin for looking after Princess and putting up with Gizmo for the last 24 hours. I'm very sorry that Gizmo marked up your home. Is there anything I can do to make up for that? I appreciate the pictures and hope for the most part that Gizmo and Princess had a good time. I'm still working with my rental management company and the homeowner to replace the fence, so I might need y'all to take in the dogs two weeks from today, but it would just be for the day, not overnight. I thank you again Katie and take care! Next time Gizmo come, he'll be coming with the Scout's Honor No Marking Spray; it is good stuff and really works. Please let me know what I can do to make up for his mess to your furniture. Take Care! Natalie”
“Austie was the best host to our dog Lady! She was extremely communicative, kind, and timely. She gave constant updates and photos to go along with the updates. She was transparent about other dogs staying and was very detailed about their routine! We felt so much peace of mind knowing our hyper-girl was in good hands!”

“Amazing!!! My frenchie Frankie had a great time with Ava & I got pics & videos daily! Frankie had a blast & enjoyed cuddles, walks, playtime & treats! Will definitely be booking with her again when needed:)”

“Tiana was amazing as usual. She took in Ozzie very late at night and made us her top priority. I will continue to book her as Ozzie's sitter because he always comes back so happy.”

“Cody was awesome. We have a large male German shepherd who is scared of his own shadow and he gave Cody a run for his money the first few days. Cody was very accommodating and took him a day early so we could leave for our vacation early. He sent me a picture just about every day. Communication was an A plus, We messaged everyday and he was quick to reply back. Very friendly. I know they went for some very long walks which my boy needed and loved. Thank you Cody. Your fur babies will be in Excellent hands, safe and well taken care of with the very nice young man.”

About: I've had dogs all my life, but grew up loving animals of all kinds. I have previously done pet check-ins and dog walks on Rover. I did not do in-house sitting, in order to keep my house my senior dog's safe space. But I lost my best friend after 17 1/2 years, and am missing the friendship and companionship in my home. I have been helping a local rescue with short term fostering when one of their fosters goes on vacation, as well as holiday fostering with Williamson County Animal Center. I would like to slowly open my home to new furry dog friends. I am familiar with senior dog issues and giving medications in pill and powder form, however, I don't have experience with injections, so I would not be the best fit if your pet requires those. I work at home full time during the week 7:00-4:00. Although I am home during the day and mostly available, I do have meetings throughout the day and can get pulled into conference calls, so I am not always instantly available and will need a little notice to book or cancel so that I can make sure I see your message and have availability when you drop off/pick up. I am open on how to best care for your pet based on your needs. I know from having a senior dog they all have their little quirks that make each one different. Do they have special food or special needs? Please let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate them. I just lost my best fur friend after 17 1/2 years, so I am looking for other fur friends to love on. I work full time from home, and am mostly available when not in meetings/calls. I would like to meet/call pet parents before their pet's first booking and get as much information and instruction as possible. I want to make sure that the pet parent's expectations are met.
About: I have taken care of family’s pets and friend’s pets. I can care for small to large dogs by going for walks, potty breaks, feeding them, and having playtime. I’m currently very flexible, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I take bookings that usually range from mid-morning to night. I can’t bring pets to my house as my cats are territorial. I know how to do basic grooming on cats, I will always make sure to clean up any messes that I or a pet makes, and I will give your pet as much attention as he or she needs
“This was our first time to use Rover in a while. We were a little nervous dropping off our elderly dog- as he has a unique personality. Daniel made sure to send daily updates and pictures to reassure us he was in good hands! Lucky seemed to have enjoyed his vacation!”

“Christian and her family took great care of my dog Sophie for the weekend! She went above and beyond to make sure I was updated throughout my trip with how she was doing. When picking Sophie up, she gave us a hand written card and gave Sophie some treats to go which was awesome! Hands down the best rover experience I have had the last few years and would definitely recommend.”

“We had the absolute BEST experience with Katie. Leaving a young puppy can be nerve-wracking, but she completely put our minds at ease from the very beginning. She went above and beyond in every way, providing consistent updates, sharing how he was doing, and clearly giving him so much attention and care. It was obvious he was not only well taken care of, but truly thriving while we were away. Her communication was incredible, and we never once felt anxious or unsure. That peace of mind is priceless, especially with such a young pup. We are so grateful to have found her and will absolutely be using her again. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Roy was great with our pups from the first initial meet and greet to the end of the their first stay with him. He is very caring of the pups and kept us updated with pictures and texts throughout their stay! Will definitely be using Roy for future stays!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
