“We boarded our little miniature dachshund Buster with Maggie and he had an absolute blast! Maggie sent daily updates with picture/videos of our sweet Buster. We were wanting to find a more homey feel for boarding instead of kennels or vets which can be very stressful. Buster acclimated amazingly and I truly believe the type of environment Maggie provides is one that everyone should chose. We definitely will be boarding again with Maggie.”

About: There is nothing better than coming home to wagging tails and dog kisses after work. I've always had dogs in the house growing up so after when I moved in to my first apartment, the first thing I did was get my first dog. 8 years later, My husband and I have two very spoiled, happy pups that love to go on walks and spend time in their fenced-in yard. We spend as much time outside and going on walks as possible. We currently don't have children so our pups are like our children for now. My husband and I are home every night and most weekends. Once we get home from work, we typically take the dogs on walks or my German Sheppard/Chihuahua mix on a run or we play in the backyard. Dogs are allowed on furniture and everywhere in the house. Dogs will need to be kept in a cage while we are away but as soon as we get home they will be out. Our dogs typically sleep in our bed but if you prefer yours to sleep in the cage, we can accommodate that. I have several dog beds but you will need to bring a cage if you have one. If not, your dog must be ok with being in a cage while we are at work/out of the house. I know dogs get anxious sometimes when their humans are away, so I want them to be safe in their "den".
“Absolutely amazing! He kept me updated on my fur baby and sent pictures. He is very knowledgeable about dogs of all breeds. His home is clean and he took special care of my fur baby because prior to him keeping him my dog went through a traumatic experience. You will never want to use anyone else if you go with Evan!”

“Once again Roy continues to be the Dream Sitter! He is responsive whenever I check in and has the knowledge and patience of a great trainer. I have the confidence that Roy treats my Mack Boy as his own and that gives me the peace I need to enjoy my time away (20 days). The Pattersons Rockvale, TN”

“We went out of town for a week and left our dog with Julianna. Before booking, she made sure to ask us questions to get to know him and make sure it was a good fit. When we were gone, she sent us photos/updates every single day! :) it was so great - I loved knowing how he was doing and I felt like he was not only being taken care of but having a great time! Would definitely book with her again. :)”

“Salma M. took great care of my dog while we were on vacation. I really appreciated that she was able to take her last minute. Salma is very kind and loving towards animals and also very friendly. My dog was also able to get a bath while there which was an added bonus.”
“Eniya was amazing! She was very accommodating with my last minute booking and was amazing with the updates and communication, she made me feel alot more comfortable and made my pet feel comfortable and right at home I definitely think I found a consistent sitter for Shenzi!!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a child and have spent my life around pets. Through years of owning and caring for dogs, I’ve gained experience with feeding, walking, bathing, playtime, basic training reinforcement, and providing daily care and companionship. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine, and I strive to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I will treat every pet as if they were my own. I work from home so I have plenty of time to play with and care for your pup! My availability is open 7 days a week! I have a dog park in my community. Plenty of time for walks & playtime(indoors and outdoors) I can also crate your baby if needed.
“We’ve found our perfect home away from home for Kirby Jane! She didn’t even want to come with me bc she loves it so much there! We can’t say enough kind things about Matt and Candace! They are great!”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs at a time for 10+ years now. Currently we have four dogs and two cats that are very happy I’m working from home, so they rarely have to be alone. Experienced with the extra care required by medically needy dogs and senior dogs, as I helped the Cheatham County shelter with theirs for a few years. Working from home affords me the opportunity to spend nearly 24/7 with either my own pets, or yours! Happy to work with whatever schedule your pets are used to. In my home I have a fenced yard. Will only board one dog at a time, things get a little cramped past that! In your home, I would be working remotely and therefore present for your pets most of the time. I may make a midday run to let my own dogs out, but largely my wife will take over care of our own dogs while I’m looking after yours. I want you to know someone is there taking care of your babies! I send lots of pictures.
“Haley did an outstanding job taking care of our 6 month old Bailey who had never been away from us. Haley sent lots of pics and made sure Bailey was loved and well taken care of. We will definitely use Haley again!!”

“We could not have picked a better caretaker for our sweet boy while we were out of town on vacation! It was evident that Julia treated and loved our pup as her own, which gave us peace of mind. Highly recommend Julia to anyone!”

“Sherri (and Bob) were awesome hosts for our dog Finnlay. Sherri sent daily updates with photos showing Finnlay enjoying his days at camp Sherri’s. We are very happy that we hosted with Sherri and we highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

“Stephanie was chefs kiss! I am so happy I took a chance and left my little Chloe with her and Milo. Stephanie was awesome and sent me messages regarding Chloe’s activities. I would definitely recommend Stephanie to anyone looking for a sitter. I also have to add that my flight back was delayed and Stephanie was very understanding and accommodating.”

“Wow! Where to begin? My Dixie looked like she enjoyed her weekend. Lots of love and pictures. I wondered if she would want to come back home with me. But really the experience was great and Grace was attentive, caring, and I would definitely recommend! If I need a sitter while in TN, I will definitely pick yh. Thank you so much for loving my sweet girl!”

“We made plans for a short weekend trip and needed someone to keep our Bella for that time. Kenneth took care of her and we are overall satisfied with his service. He made all the necessary questions during the meet and greet, let us see his place and was very open answering all our questions. Bella came back home worn out after playing and running around his fence yard with the other dogs for two days. The real test will be her reaction when we take her again to Kenneth’s house, but I think she’ll be happy to go. Thank you!”

“Gabriela and her family took great care of our dog. He’s usually nervous when we are away, but I don’t think he missed us at all. Gabriela is quite attentive, and her own dog is very sweet and made a great playmate for ours. She’s got the perfect backyard for dogs.”

“Danielle and her husband were the absolute best! They were very attentive and communicative with me the entire stay. Based on the photos, my dog had an amazing time and even made new friends with the host family’s pets. I appreciated their kindness and willingness to treat Cinnabon as their own. I definitely recommend them for families that are interested in having a home away from home for their pets. I will be booking them again for future stays!”

I would definitely recommend Lorenzo to anyone looking for a sitter. They treated my Aaliyah so kind and sent me plenty of videos and pictures. He reassured me it was okay to send me so many text checking on my dog. This is the longest I been without her since getting her and he made me feel assured and calm 😌 with her having amazing sitters! Will def use them again if able !!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
