“She is so good to our Puddle man! He can be a handful at times, and is so good to play with him her entire visit, turns on his favorite TV show and really engage with him! She goes above and beyond for your babies!”

“Crystal was fantastic! She took good care of our dog Tiger during drop in visits. He is very shy and protective at first but soon warmed up to her very quickly, she is a pro! Highly recommended!!”

“Lisa was a pleasure for us. When I first asked Lisa for taking care of my Cavalier King Charles Madison, she responded very quickly. I am new to Murfreesboro. I didn’t know anyone yet that could take care of my girl. She came over to my house and we had a little meet and great. Madison really liked Lisa. They got along very well. I could tell that she really liked animals. While I was gone she sent me photos of their time together and gave me an update about how Madison was getting along. We had a very good experience with Lisa.”

“Madison exceeded all expectations! Our regular pet sitter had an unexpected emergency right before we left on a two week trip, the longest we’ve ever been away from our two fur babies. Needless to say we were devastated and left scrambling to find a reliable and trustworthy substitution. Madison did a meet and greet beforehand to explain her qualifications, answered any questions we had, and made sure to thoroughly understand the expectations of what we needed done to ensure peace of mind for us. She provided extensive details for us everyday and sent cute pictures of our animals so we could get a glimpse of how they were faring while we were away. She really takes the time to get to know the animals and it is reflected in her outstanding work ethic how much she truly cares. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone needing a sitter. Thank you Madison for providing excellent care for our babies, you made our vacation that much more enjoyable knowing there was once less thing to worry about back home!”

“Alishia is a great neighbor and dog sitter! I highly recommend. She was communicative the whole trip and made sure my dog was fed, had time to potty, and even some cuddles. I felt my dog and home was safe with her visiting when I needed her. Even when my dog fell sick, she went the extra mile to keep me posted and checking on her. I’m glad she is local to Chapel Hill and will be using her services again.”
“Thank you Katie for popping in Saturday while Todd and I were at my cousin's wedding. And thank you for tolerating Gizmo and his puppy habits :-). Have a Happy Halloween!”
“Hannah did an amazing job taking care of my bunny boy! We did a meet and greet a few days prior to my leaving date, and she was very excited and happy to watch my bunny boy! Both of us got along great. Hannah is very good with communicating to me anything about my bunny boy. Loved the pictures she took and the comments she left! Will be booking with Hannah in the future!”

About: I’ve worked with all breeds of dogs since I was young, between pet sitting, working for a groomer, kennel assistants and working for multiple vet hospitals throughout the years. I can administer medications as needed. I have a wide array of knowledge and skills such as emergency medicine, and working with neurological patients. I currently work full time at an emergency vet hospital. I take care of cats and dogs of all sizes and breeds daily, and have been a veterinary technician for 15 years. I also have two pets of my own that are very spoiled. My pets are my babies, and I treat clients and friends pets just the same. Whatever their routine is, would be followed very closely and be kept a close eye on.
About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember — growing up, my family had dogs, turtles, birds, rabbits, and lizards, so I'm just as comfortable with cats and small pets as I am with dogs. I also attended a high school built around animal care, giving me formal training on top of a lifetime of hands-on experience. On top of that, I'm a college graduate, which taught me the same things animal care requires: personal responsibility, patience, and attention to detail. I treat every pet like it's my own: same routine, same patience, same attention to detail every single visit. Pet care is my full-time focus, so I have a flexible schedule with steady availability throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, and extended stays. I always confirm exact timing with you directly so visits fit your pet's normal routine. Since all my visits happen at your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I'd want for my own, securing doors and alarms exactly as instructed, keeping to the routine you've laid out, and never deviating from your pet's normal environment.
About: I’ve participated in taking care of animals since I was 5, and took on full responsibility since 11-12. My home has always been full of animals (mostly consisting of cats and dogs) and at most had 11! Usually it’s a pretty 50/50 split between the two. We’ve always rescued animals so they come to me in any shape or form, many kittens / puppies and many seniors! I would love to come by and see your fur babies! Sunrise to sunset, my schedule is very open to coming by and saying hello to any fur baby! I currently can’t work, so what better way to spend my time! Anything the client requests! I’m unable to host any animal visits, but I’m very open to traveling. The care will consist of any basic activities I’m needed to do, feeding, cleaning up any accidents in the home, managing the animals crate, playing with them and getting their energy out for a nice sleep afterwards, and anything else needed!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
