“Taylor is incredible. Super easy to work with and adaptable to me being in and out of meetings which I truly appreciate. She also tried fun little games with my cat I never thought of trying and has officially taken my favorite photo of him. She's the best!”

“We rarely leave reviews but had such a wonderful experience with Henriette that we had to let others know! We have 2 cats, Opie and Owen, who are typically very weary of new people and like to hide (because cats!). The hiding issue is a challenge as one of our cats takes medications for his heart. Thankfully, Henriette was so attentive and won our cats over immediately. They came out and greeted her each time she stopped by for visits. I'm certain they miss her now that our trip is over! We always worry Owen will miss doses of his medications as he is finicky but Henriette was so patient with him and ensured he took them. She gave us updates and sent pictures with every visit. It was a huge relief knowing our boys were so well cared for while we were away. Their eating area, water, used bowls, litterbox were so clean! My only concern now is that Henriette won't be available for all our future trips! So grateful to find her! Stellar in every possible way!”

“Brianne was fabulous - as always! She picked up our babies and brought them to our wedding photos. We are so grateful for her communication and care she takes. Amazing sitter!”

“Absolutely amazing!! Kaylene was able to step in very last minute after another person cancelled on the day of booking! Kaylene looked after Chase fantastically and sent some lovely pictures and updates throughout the day. She is so lovely and we have already rebooked for another visit!”

“Joseph and Daniella did an outstanding job during their visit with our two labs! They treated the girls to a nice long walk and a fun time back at the house! They were a pleasure to communicate with, enthusiastic, and very thorough. Looking forward to welcoming them back!”

About: I am friendly, reliable, and honest. I love animals and hope to find some to take care of regularly so I can build a relationship with them and their humans. I watch my kids on weekdays and work evenings and weekends. I am looking for extra ways to supplement my income, and this seems like a “do what you love” situation. I walk my dog, take him out for bathroom breaks, do monthly grooming sessions, change cat litter, and occasionally administer medicine, as needed. I am very comfortable around dogs, cats, and other animals.
About: I’ve had pets for almost all my life. Dogs seem to have an easy time accepting me and many of my friends are surprised by their dogs quick acceptance. I am very calm and dogs feel safe around me I’ve taken care of dogs of all ages and needs. I am in good health myself and can handle dogs of all sizes. I am retired and working occasionally, usually 9-5. I have no set routine and can be available for drop in care easily. I can also be available for dropping your dog off at grooming and picking up later. I have 2 small dogs of my own and will treat yours as I do mine. I will make sure that your home is clean and safe for your pets and all your instructions are followed for their care.
“Great experience- kept our cats on their routine and sent pics! Was flexible about our return time changing and made sure to check in after our return. Highly recommend Karen!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats. I’m comfortable around large dogs and have no issues with occasional nibbles during play. Daily, or almost daily, pictures of pets always provided! As a college student with a part time job, I keep my schedule accurate with plenty of open space to care for your furry friends! Always giving cuddles but never pushing for them, provide daily pictures of furry friends to ensure they are well cared for while their owners are away!

“Abby is a dog whisperer! She’s a kind human who was super easy to coordinate with. She followed all my instructions and my dogs were very comfortable with her. I’ll definitely use her services again!”

“Yunyi was GREAT! She was on-time to her check-ins and always sent pictures of my kitty! She left detailed notes about every visit and gave me peace of mind with leaving my kitty. This was my first time using Rover, but it will not be the last. I will always check with Yunyi first when booking, she is amazing!”

“Mabry was ah-mazing with my cat! I was so nervous leaving her with a sitter for the first time but Mabry made sure to ease my anxiety by sending me photos daily and giving me updates on her wellbeing! My cat is not good with strangers and usually just hides, but Mabry managed to earn enough trust with her to get some purrs and a little roll around! 12/10 will hire Mabry again when I go out of town!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Franklin
Lauren has been such a huge help for me when I leave town with my sweet kitty… she genuinely cares for her and shows up when she is supposed to and I’m grateful for the little extras she does for me if I ask, and when i don’t, like watering my outside plants/flowers and brining in my packages. I highly recommend her!

Liza did excellent. Was away for a week and you know how nerve racking that can be leaving your pup with a stranger. Liza showed up on time and shared pics and videos of our Mia the whole time. Mia was happy and well taken care of when we got back. I will use Liza again with no worries.

Emily is absolutely amazing when she watches my two cats! They like to hide and gave her a scare once, but she always makes sure she has eyes on them and bribes them with treats. I try to make sure I always am able to book her specifically cause I know I’ll get a detailed update!
Deborah was awesome! She took great care of our doggies. Which I appreciate very much. She sent pics and kept us informed. We have never left our doggies with a sitter before. I would highly recommend her for anybody looking for somebody that takes good care of their babies. Thanks again Deb. Quit.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
