“Christy was very prompt and professional. She kept me updated and sent pictures of my cat each feeding. My cat is usually very shy of people but he obviously felt comfortable with Christy and so was I. I hope to use Christy again for future trips and I would highly recommend her.”

“Taylor did an amazing job caring for my cats. I returned home and they were in perfect health and spirits. Can’t recommend her enough! She even squeezed in an extra day for me last minute. Her communication was superb, she was observant and my cats loved her.”

“Brianne is the most caring sitter. Loved Nova like her own and goes over and above! Great communication & professional. My cat loved Brianne. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Was moving and Brianne went out of her wait to help me. Would highly recommend Brianne and her caring service!!”

“Henriette was fantastic with Darci and was confident in handling her- our dog was a happy camper while away getting lots of walks, treats and attention. I was so relaxed being away knowing Darci was in good hands.”

“Joseph and Daniella did an outstanding job during their visit with our two labs! They treated the girls to a nice long walk and a fun time back at the house! They were a pleasure to communicate with, enthusiastic, and very thorough. Looking forward to welcoming them back!”

“Chandler is a great pet sitter! She checked in daily as requested, sent pictures and updates, and made sure our cat got plenty of attention. I will definitely be using her services again and recommend her.”

About: I am friendly, reliable, and honest. I love animals and hope to find some to take care of regularly so I can build a relationship with them and their humans. I watch my kids on weekdays and work evenings and weekends. I am looking for extra ways to supplement my income, and this seems like a “do what you love” situation. I walk my dog, take him out for bathroom breaks, do monthly grooming sessions, change cat litter, and occasionally administer medicine, as needed. I am very comfortable around dogs, cats, and other animals.
About: I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs since the day I was born and love animals with my whole heart. I’ve worked with small, medium, and large dogs and have experience with both shy cats and cuddly cats. I love them all! I work about 25 hours a week at my day job but I’m usually home by about 2pm. I spend most of my time at home so I’d be able to spend lots of time with your pet! I’m very respectful of the home and love making pets feel safe and comfortable in their own house. I will keep your house tidy and clean and accommodate your unique pet care needs!
“Great experience- kept our cats on their routine and sent pics! Was flexible about our return time changing and made sure to check in after our return. Highly recommend Karen!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats. I’m comfortable around large dogs and have no issues with occasional nibbles during play. Daily, or almost daily, pictures of pets always provided! As a college student with a part time job, I keep my schedule accurate with plenty of open space to care for your furry friends! Always giving cuddles but never pushing for them, provide daily pictures of furry friends to ensure they are well cared for while their owners are away!

“Abby is a dog whisperer! She’s a kind human who was super easy to coordinate with. She followed all my instructions and my dogs were very comfortable with her. I’ll definitely use her services again!”

“Liza did excellent. Was away for a week and you know how nerve racking that can be leaving your pup with a stranger. Liza showed up on time and shared pics and videos of our Mia the whole time. Mia was happy and well taken care of when we got back. I will use Liza again with no worries.”

“Mabry is awesome! She helped me out at the last minute and was able to help me with only two days notice, she is always available and dependable and takes such great care of my cats! Highly recommend!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Franklin
Emily is absolutely amazing when she watches my two cats! They like to hide and gave her a scare once, but she always makes sure she has eyes on them and bribes them with treats. I try to make sure I always am able to book her specifically cause I know I’ll get a detailed update!
My apartment flooded while I was out of town, and Taylor dropped everything she was doing to help me out. She stuck around for over two hours to make sure my cats were safe, communicated with the maintenance team for me, and even helped clean the extra water on the floor. Couldn’t have asked for a better response in an emergency.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Franklin. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
