About: I love dogs and have taken care of them all my life! I recently lost my companion of 12 years in April 2026, Finley, who passed onto the rainbow bridge due to old age. Finley was a 120lb gentle giant, so I am highly experienced with large breeds and dogs of all sizes. Whether you have a Great Dane or a Pomeranian, I will care for your fur baby as if they were my own. Being a dog lover while no longer having one has been heartbreaking for me, but it also means that I now have the opportunity to hangout with your pup! :) I only ask for a week in advance notice and prefer to do a meet and greet beforehand to see if we align. Take a look at my calendar and see what works for you! I work my day job Thursday through Sunday and am currently available for house sitting Sunday night through Thursday morning and drop-in visits M, T, W. I am available to come to your home or your dog is welcome to stay at mine! I live in a 900 Sq. Ft. apartment with plenty of space for a small or medium dog or a low activity older large breed. I have two orthopedic beds that are cleaned thoroughly after each stay and two dog bowls.

“she won over my anxious pup and is the first sitter to get to see her fun goofy personality rather than just her scared and on edge version!! I am so grateful Tikka has Jessie to look forward to when we go out of town!”

“We appreciate Corrie’s kindness and care of Maddie. She went out of her way to schedule a meet and greet and make sure she knew what we needed. Highly recommended!”

“Olivia is the best. I had to go back to work while my pup was still recovering from getting fixed. Her nursing background made her the perfect choice. She is always on time and is meticulous about following care instructions. Highly recommend!”

“Avery is always so wonderful with our pup! She is quick to respond, sends a detailed report and photos, and is always on time! I highly recommend her to help and we will continue to have her watch our dog!”

“We’ve used Ashley twice now and are so impressed! She sends great updates and photos. I know our Penny is comfortable and happy as evidenced by the photos. Thanks!”

“Kait is literally THE best. I love her and so does my kitty! Super reliable, kind, excellent communicator and great with both pets and clients. We love you Kait!”

“Alicia was amazing and took great care of our pup! She was extremely responsive and flexible when it came to changing our schedule! Thank you so much, Alicia!”

“Haley was a wonderful sitter! She was an excellent communicator and provided us peace of mind while we were away! Thankful to have found her and she is already booked on another sit with us!”

“Brianne was absolutely stellar with our two kitty girls as well as our exotics (a snake and a tarantula). She sent photos and messages every visit and from the look of them our girls were able to warm up to her right away. I’m very confident when we travel next we will be booking with her again!”

“Sarah was exceptionally caring with my cats. She was very thoughtful, making sure she completely understood the instructions I provided. There were some complicated aspects regarding access to where I live, but she was able to sort everything out perfectly. She also got along very well with my cats, sent me lots of pictures and videos of them while I was away, and attended to all my cats' needs. I'm very grateful to her.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Forest Hills
Amanda was great with my cat RC! Amanda came on time, fed RC each visit, scooped the litter box and spent lots of time sitting with RC for cuddles. Not every Rover sitter will sit and give attention to a cat, so it was so wonderful that Amanda spent time engaging RC and sent many pictures!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Forest Hills. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
