“Olivia was very responsive and proactive when my dog got sick while I was away. She made sure to check in on him and keep me informed. Even offered to take him to the vet if I felt it was necessary. I appreciate her dedication to Bruce’s wellbeing!”

About: As someone who’s always had animals, I know it can be hard to leave them and your house with someone new. I’m ready to make the transition as smooth as possible for both you and your furry companion! I’m a full time cosmetology student so I’m free after 3:30 Tuesday through Saturday to commit time to your animals and house whenever you need! And of course I’m flexible to come check in on them throughout the day, just let me know. As I have a kitty of my own, I want to respect your’s and your animals’ space. I’ll make sure they’re fed and their areas clean. That they get attention and play time as needed. And in case of emergency or abnormal behavior, that they are cared for or taken to the vet if warranted. I will take care of them with the love and attention I give my own pet.

“Jessie has been great with Gizmo and we've loved her communication and how much time she takes to make sure everything is done right. Would 100% recommend for anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

“Kait was responsive in our communication from beginning to end! I appreciated the thorough updates as well as the quality time she spent with our two cats during her check-in’s. I will be reaching out again if we need care for our animals in the future. Thank you again, Kait!”

About: I’ve had both cats and dogs my whole life, and I’ve been hired to care for other people’s pets for at least 4 years! As far as dogs go, I am familiar with basic grooming needs, I love to play and walk, and I have experience with dogs of all sizes!! I’ve cared for elderly dogs as well as overly-energetic puppy types! I am even more experienced with cats! I’ve fostered three litters and have experience with pregnant cats, newborns, elderly cats, and spicy babies!! I’m very comfortable with both cats and dogs and would love to do whatever it takes for your pet to thrive! I have an extremely flexible schedule and reliable transportation! I can drop by whenever you need, and I’m of course willing to stay overnight as well!! In your home or mine, I will prioritize treating your pet with love and care! I am always excited to see a furry friend, and I’m committed to doing whatever they need to thrive!
“I have been stressing about finding a cat sitter that could meet Ginger’s medical needs. Gingers very easygoing considering my other two shy & spicy babies, Clover & Koko respectively. But a lot of people & special needs cat boarding facilities were aphrenrsive about giving a cat 0.25 mL of medicine once a day for 2 different medications. Thanks again Sophia for taking care of my girls!”

“Wow, I can't say enough about Tori. Communicative, quick replies, on time, trustworthy, respectful, the list goes on! I won't book with anyone else. It's hard for me to trust strangers, but Tori has me worry free anytime I'm out of town.”

About: I love dogs and have taken care of them all my life! I recently lost my companion of 12 years in April 2026, Finley, who passed onto the rainbow bridge due to old age. Finley was a 120lb gentle giant, so I am highly experienced with large breeds and dogs of all sizes. Whether you have a Great Dane or a Pomeranian, I will care for your fur baby as if they were my own. Being a dog lover while no longer having one has been heartbreaking for me, but it also means that I now have the opportunity to hangout with your pup! :) I only ask for a week in advance notice and prefer to do a meet and greet beforehand to see if we align. Take a look at my calendar and see what works for you! I work my day job Thursday through Sunday and am currently available for house sitting Sunday night through Thursday morning and drop-in visits M, T, W. I am available to come to your home or your dog is welcome to stay at mine! I live in a 900 Sq. Ft. apartment with plenty of space for a small or medium dog or a low activity older large breed. I have two orthopedic beds that are cleaned thoroughly after each stay and two dog bowls.
“Really sweet, my dog isn't really the type to let a stranger take her away from me but she went slow and let mika control his fast things went. I'm in hospital and can't walk and the charge nurse had told me the nurses couldn't feed and water her and I couldn't get out of bed so the fact that she was here to help in like an hour really meant alot For sure book her, especially if the baby has a little attitude when it comes to if she will go off with a stranger lol”

“Taylor was a PERFECT choice for watching Lucy while we were on vacation! She came by for a meet and greet before we left, met Lucy, and wrote down the things that were important to us for Lucy’s care. She was very communicative and took so many pictures, which I appreciated. She will be my first choice when we go out of town again. If you want to have piece of mind while you are away and know your pet is being so well taken care of, Taylor needs to be your choice!”

About: Pet sitting and walking was my first job in middle school, and I’ve loved caring for fur babies ever since! In my 10 years of experience, I’ve taken care of cat and dogs and even worked at an animal rescue center in Ecuador, so I can handle it all. I am currently offering pet drop ins and walking services. My clients can count on me for consistency, detailed updates, and, most of all, that I will take care of your pets as my own. I have two cats and grew up with dogs, so I know how important it is that your pets receive the best care. I have a soft spot for giant breed dogs because I grew up with an Irish Wolfhound and Great Pyrenees! Reach out to me, and let’s discuss how I can provide the best care for your pet! I’m a college student interning in Nashville for the summer from 9 am to 3 pm. This means I can drop in to care for your pet before most 9 to 5 jobs end! I can do one drop in and/or walk before work and as many as you need in the afternoon or evenings. I’m also available all day on the weekends. I will follow your instructions to the letter! Whether it’s ensuring they get their medication, exercise, or cuddle time, I’m committed to maintaining your pet’s care routine. All pets will receive lots of love from me:) Please reach out to me with any special requests or care your pet may require, and I’ll be more than happy to accommodate them.
“I’m so happy we found Nicole! She did a wonderful job watching our cat. It was our first time leaving her for longer than a night at the house and Nicole reassured us she was being well taken care of with food, pets, and play time! It was evident in the pictures our kitty took a strong liking to Nicole!”

About: I love any and all dogs. I would love to play, walk, feed, and love on your dog when you can’t. I have grown up with dogs my entire life.. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Forest Hills
Amanda was great with my cat RC! Amanda came on time, fed RC each visit, scooped the litter box and spent lots of time sitting with RC for cuddles. Not every Rover sitter will sit and give attention to a cat, so it was so wonderful that Amanda spent time engaging RC and sent many pictures!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Forest Hills. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
