“Stephanie was amazing!!! She kept me updated & took her time with my dog as he is very shy around new people. I like that she is comfortable with giving my boy commands & taking control because he needs that structure on walks.”

“Teresa did a wonderful job with Buster! It was his first time with a sitter so I was worried. But she gave me no reason to be concerned whatsoever. Always followed up with pictures and videos too! Excellent job.”

“Catherine was an excellent cat sitter. She showed up every day requested, kept me updated with lots of pics and videos, and did everything I asked. Super reliable and caring, highly recommend.”

“Very communicative and sent so many cute pictures! Was such a relief to have Abigail stop in to let Jordy out while I’m at work. Will absolutely use again in the future. Very reliable.”

About: I have a knack for winning over pets, especially the anxious or nervous ones. I like to be a safe, unconditionally loving place for each and every one of them. I am a life coach, so I have a very fluid schedule with a lot of gaps. Care for animals easily fits into my schedule, or should I say, can easily match their schedule :) I treat your home (and your pets) as you would. There's a good chance your home would be even a little tidier after I leave. I want you to have the same, "ah, it's so nice to trust this person" feel I would want.
“Hannah was wonderful at taking care of our dog while we were away! She was very punctual and left our house in perfect condition. Our dog was very well taken care of and we never worried! Would love to use her again, thanks Hannah!”

About: I grew up with a family dog who was a shih tzu and poodle mix. Now, I work with furry friends of all types: from those who need a little extra attention to the most easygoing pets! Does your pet need medicine 3 times a day? I do that. Does your dog have leash aggression or very specific likes and dislikes? I've dealt with that too. Separation anxiety? Check! Senior dogs struggling with incontinence? I'm here to help. Currently, I offer house sitting (taking out trash, plant care, etc), drop ins, pet sitting (2-3 walks, medicine if applicable, feeding, play time), pet walks, and feeding. I can sometimes accommodate last minute bookings and am available most holidays and weekends. I offer pet sitting in my client's home to keep pets in the environment where they feel safest. I will collaborate with you to see what works best for your pet and their home. I love pets and can spend a little extra time with them if you're worried about them being left alone. I know each dog and cat is different, so I'm happy to adjust to make sure they feel safe and comfortable!
“Whitney was incredible! This was my first time being away from my cat since I got him, so I had a million questions and lots of little things to note. She handled everything I asked—and more. I was nervous leaving my cat with a stranger, but she completely put me at ease. I will absolutely be booking with her again!”

About: Grew up with dogs my entire life, once I got a little older I used to watch my family friends animals all the time! Now in Nashville I help volunteer at wags and walks but I want to do more! I work remote for work so I have a flexible schedule that can adjust as needed. Im happy to snuggle with your animals or run around and play! I work remote so I am easily able to play with your animals or let them out and enjoy the fresh air for a little bit! I will follow any rules you may have for your animal. Im comfortable handling some bigger dogs on a leash or running around with them in your backyard. I've been around animals a lot so I know to pick up on if something may be wrong and will let you know right away!
About: I have lived with and cared for pets since I was 5 years old. I grew up with 3 dogs and have had my own cat for 5 years now! I truly love animals and nothing brings me more joy than seeing that an animal is safe, loved, and getting the care that they need. Whether your pet is small or large, young or old, I can’t wait to make their day brighter and your life easier! I work from home part time and have a pretty flexible schedule. I can make most visits work, even with last minute notice! Late mornings to early evenings preferred, but I can be flexible. I will always be respectful of your things and leave your home just as I found it! I have experience with senior dogs and am comfortable administering medicine if need be.
“Excellent service! I was nervous to leave my 14yr old dog, Belle, alone for a week because she never had a sitter outside of family members, but she loved Isabel and Isabel was great with her! I couldn’t be happier with the level of care she provided to Belle. I highly recommend her and hope to have her watch Belle again in the future!”

“Katherine has been doing awesome with Ranger! Shows up on time and makes sure that he has food and water and plays with him during visits to keep his mind entertained while I am at work!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Nashville
Alexandra was great with my cat Mustard while I was on vacation. Musty had gotten surgery recently so Alexandra checked on her multiple times a day to feed her and make sure she was okay. I appreciated Alexandra’s prompt communication, flexibility with booking and navigating my cat’s dynamic feeding schedule, and her ability to troubleshoot access to my building without me there to help. She will take great care of your pet!

100/10 will book again! I had a last minute booking because my kitty had an accident and had to have surgery 1 week before a non refundable work trip- literally last minute!9pm morning before- she was very communicative and makes sure to send all the pictures. she was on time every time and never got overwhelmed with my (5 cats total) So very kind as well!!!! Spectacular! Amazing! Attentive!!

This was our 2nd time using Rebecca and it was equally fantastic. She's very communicative giving us updates on our cats. She cleans up any messes and makes sure they are all doing well and gives them love when they allow it 🤣. I'll definitely use Rebecca again and would absolutely recommend her to others. Thanks so much!

Sarah was an incredible cat sitter! This was a last-minute booking, but she was still so accommodating and took the time to go over all of my cats’ essentials, feeding routines, and everything she needed to know before I left. Throughout the week, she communicated consistently, sent updates, and wasn’t afraid to reach out with questions when needed. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my cats were in such great hands while I was away. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for my cats. I would absolutely book Sarah again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative pet sitter

Hannah is the best! She took such good care of our kitties while we were out of town for a week. In addition to giving our high-needs senior cat the medications he needed, Hannah gave our younger cats lots of attention and play-time. She made sure everyone got the personalized care they needed and went above and beyond with all of our requests. Above all, she wanted the cats to feel comfortable and happy and for us to not worry while away. Hannah is a wonderful sitter and lovely person!

Piper is amazing! She is so attentive and loving to my cat and it made me feel so comfortable knowing how my cat was in the best of care. I really appreciated the pictures Piper sent everyday. My cat needs insulin injections every day and Piper was a pro at giving them. My cat was super loved and cared for because of Piper!!!!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Nashville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
