“Leanne does an awesome job! She takes great care of Lucky and the house as well. We are very happy with her and definitely would love to have her again!”

“Dannie was fantastic. Dannie sent pictures and updates and when I arrived home my big boy Chuck was happy and relaxed, showing he was well taken care of. I will be booking again. Thank you, Dannie!”

“Teresa was great! I came home to happy dogs and no messes. She sent pictures throughout the day and the babies seemed happy. I would be so happy to have her watch my girls again :)”

“Eric is first and foremost a very kind person. He is obviously a pet lover, and our dog Daisy enjoys being the beneficiary of his attention. In fact, this morning she was looking for him, and I had to convince her to eat her breakfast! Eric is also great at staying in touch. I never have to wonder how things are going as there are photos and notes to reassure me. I guess I am a helicopter pet mom, so this is great. If I had to go on an extended trip and leave my pup, Eric would be my first and perhaps only choice. If you want to travel with confidence, look no further.”

“Alexis was great with the dogs and the house! She sent plenty of pictures, played with the dogs and kept me updated every step of the way. Will definitely use her again!”

“Melissa is amazing! She stayed with my pup who required extra attention due to his separation anxiety and he’s grieving the loss of his sister of all 11 years of his life. She provided lots of updates during her stay and lots of pictures. Walker looked happy and extremely well cared for in every single one. I was very anxious about leaving him since he required extra attention and is on some new meds but Melissa was wonderful and I never wondered for a second how things were going while I was away. I know we have a new friend who we will rebook with any time. Thank you, Melissa!!”

“Lindsey was fantastic! She took time going over my older dog’s medications and normal schedule before my trip and did a great job staying in touch about how my dog was doing and some fun pics during the trip. I came home to a clean home and happy doggy. Lindsey is calm and kind and a great communicator and I look forward to using her services again.”
“Sonny took such great care of our dogs—Mila, Biscuit, and Bagel—while we were away for 10 days. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. Sonny was very communicative and sent us lots of pictures and videos throughout the stay, which we really appreciated and loved seeing. Our pups looked happy, relaxed, and well cared for the whole time. We’d absolutely trust Sonny with them again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful sitter!”

“Elyssa was fantastic. Followed my instructions perfectly, provided great updates and always made me feel that my pup was in good hands. Will look forward to booking again!”

“Ashely is so engaging with my dog - lots of walks, cuddles and play. She’s very responsive and communicative. My dog adores her! She always leaves the house tidy and I love all the pictures she sends while I’m away.”

“WE LOVE ZUBIN !! 🩷 she sent me so many photos of my fur babies and was very very quick to respond! I came home to a clean house and an adorable water color painting of my babies. Already rebooked for December.”

About: Hi everyone, I’m Bre! I tried Rover briefly back in 2022 before becoming a full-time foster dog mom. I’m excited to give it another try! I work a normal Monday-Friday office job but I work next door to my apartment community! So I can walk over to take dogs on walks multiple times a day. My fiancé works from home so he will be there all day as well. Pets are my favorite roommates! I live in a beautiful apartment community that’s full of dogs. I do have permission to dog sit from management! Dogs are welcome to free roam my apartment
“Angela was wonderful with our dog. She provided updates multiple times a day and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend her and will be rebooking with her for a future trip.”

“sydney is an absolute dream come true!!! she kept me up to date with my boys while i was gone, walked them, and even kept my house is great condition. the definition of stress free! will definitely use again!”

“Erin was a wonderful house+dog sitter and I would certainly book again. She had an immediate rapport with my somewhat selective, fear-reactive pittie mix. The attentiveness, presence and communication (including some photos) were exceptional throughout the long weekend. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for dogsitting.”

“Madison was a wonderful pet and house sitter. When I came home, both of my pets exhibited signs of low anxiety. My home was cared for and tidy. Madison was a great communicator leading up to and during the stay. I would hire her again anytime.”

“Katherine was amazing with our boy, Koopa, while we were on a work trip. She was very responsive, responsible and Koop was pampered while we were away. We will definitely book with her again!”

“Christopher was an amazing sitter for my dog. Very attentive, kept me updated, and kept the place super clean. My dog was still adjusting to his new routine and he kept it up, and kept me updated throughout the stay. Would definitely book him again! Thank you again so much! :)”

“Leaving our pup is hard for us but we could not have asked for a better sitter for Molly this past weekend! It was our first time meeting Jabe and we immediately felt like Molly was in great hands after our meet and greet! He sent many pictures of Molly over the weekend and it was very sweet to see how much fun she was having. Jabe is very prompt and responsive and was flexible when our flight home was delayed. He made sure Molly was comfortable and walked and we will absolutely ask him to hang out with her next time we travel!”

“Aubrey was fantastic with my two dogs! They seemed to have a really good time with her during her stay. I will definitely be using her again in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Nashville
Liah is so lovely! She took wonderful care of Gus while I was away and followed every instruction I left to a tee. She took him on fun outings, kept him happy and active, and was respectful of my home and space the whole time. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again for my Gussey boy!

Erin is the absolute best!.She takes care of our 3 pups with the utmost of care. Tending very carefully to each individual personality. She sends us the best updates that we love reading in tons of pictures. High level of attention to detail and care, she really pays attention and notices all the nuances. The dogs are well cared for, exercised and loved on. Would highly recommend Erin to anyone looking.
We cannot recommend Riley and Victoria enough! They watched our two dogs for an entire week, and from the moment we left, we knew our babies were in the best hands. They checked in frequently with updates, photos, and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It’s clear how much they genuinely care for animals, and our dogs were happy, comfortable, and loved the entire time. Coming home, we were amazed to find the house absolutely spotless, everything was clean, organized, and exactly as we left it (if not better!). Finding people you can fully trust with your pets is rare, and we can honestly say we wouldn’t trust our babies with anyone else. Riley and Victoria went above and beyond, and we are so grateful for the incredible care they provided.

We were very happy with Andile and would absolutely book with her again! From the first meet and greet, she was warm, personable, and easy to talk to. Our corgi Merlin, who doesn't always warm up to new people right away, took to her immediately and quickly became her shadow during the stay. Merlin is still recovering from ACL surgery, so it was important to us to find someone who could be home with the pets most of the time. Andile was wonderful about that and gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She took excellent care of our three dogs and two cats and sent plenty of updates and photos. We came home to happy pets, a well-cared-for home, and the feeling that everything had gone smoothly while we were away. We highly recommend Andile and would not hesitate to book with her again. In fact, we tried to schedule her as she was heading out the driveway. We were sad she was going to be out of town the weekend we need her.

Emily is truly an angel! She took the utmost care of my Sophie and kept me continually updated with pictures and videos throughout the duration of my trip which put my naturally anxious heart at ease. Emily is absolutely my new go-to! Couldn’t speak highly enough!

FAQs for House Sitting - Nashville
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Nashville on Rover is $53.5 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 2,512 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Nashville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Nashville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Nashville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Nashville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Nashville. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
