“Jonathan and Saori took such wonderful care of Sunny! They sent lots of great photos and videos throughout the stay, which I really loved. It was so reassuring to see how happy and comfortable she was the whole time. Sunny and their sweet dog Alfie became fast friends and had the best time playing together in the backyard. It's clear Jonathan and Saori genuinely love the dogs they look after, and Sunny came home happy and content. I couldn't recommend them more highly and can't wait to book with them again!”

“Teresa was great with the pups. She kept me updated on their daily vacation and contacted me with any questions! Would definitely book with her again.”

“Kelly is fantastic! MoMo took to her immediately. The regular videos, photos and updates were awesome. I would never hesitate to leave MoMo with Kelly again. He had an awesome time. And he actually will be staying with her again. :) Thanks Kelly!”

About: Hi, my name is Nakayla! 🐾 I've been a dog lover my whole life and have grown up with everything from Shih Tzus to Pit Bulls. I currently have a toy poodle named Milo, and instead of getting a second dog, I joined Rover so I could spend time with more furry friends! Since I work from home full-time, your pup will get lots of love, attention, playtime, and potty breaks throughout the day. They'll rarely be left alone and will be treated like one of the family. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend! 🐶💕 I work from home full-time, so I have a very flexible schedule and can give your pup plenty of attention throughout the day. They'll almost always have someone with them, aside from the occasional hour or two when I step out for the gym. I live in an apartment, but your pup will enjoy plenty of walks and exercise. I'm also just 6 minutes from a dog park and can take them there with your permission!
About: I'm newly home all day and want to help out folks who need someone who will truly care for their furry friend. I'm a dog lover and have two rescued doodles. They are both dog, cat, and kid friendly and can't wait to make new friends! My dogs get one walk a day, plus potty breaks in our yard, as needed. This is how I take care of our Rover friends, too. I do more walks when the Nashville weather isn't scorching! My priority is to provide the care that your dog needs. I have a fenced-in backyard and love all doggos. I can't wait to meet you!
“Our dog loves Jill!! We could tell Max was so loved and cared for by her. Her home/yard is so lovely and cozy, and her communication/pictures each day made us feel so assured that Max was having a great time! We are so thankful to have found this amazing dogsitter!”

About: I'm a dog trainer first, sitter second. I've cared for dogs since getting my own three years ago, self-taught through hands-on trial and error. My American Bulldog and I walk off-leash through downtown Nashville daily — strangers stop to compliment his manners. I specialize in powerful, often-misunderstood breeds like Bullies, Pitbulls, Rottweilers, and American Bulldogs, and I bring real training reinforcement to every stay or walk, not just supervision. Pet care is my full-time focus, not a side gig squeezed into spare hours. I'm available every day except Sunday — Monday through Friday 7am to 7pm, Saturdays 9am to 5pm — for walks, drop-ins, daycare, boarding, and training sessions. I live in a 2-bedroom apartment with my own dog, who's friendly with other animals. The complex has a fenced, secured dog park and an on-site wash station for baths after walks or park time. I keep a crate on hand, though I prefer clients bring their own for their dog's comfort. Boarding is capped at three dogs at a time, small to medium sized only, so every dog gets real attention rather than getting lost in a pack.
“If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I’m new to Nashville and finding Rakya was such a blessing! My baby is an old lady so it’s been a task finding someone that gives her the same loving that she gets at home but my baby had a TIME during her stay. She was just as happy and seemed at home with Rakya and that just shows how much of an amazing environment that was created. 10/10 would recommend and am definitely booking again!”

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was little, have had 4 golden retrievers and always jumped at the opportunity to take care of friend’s dogs for a weekend or two. Have been around dogs my entire life and enjoy taking them on walks and playing catch. I work from home on Friday’s and am free on weekends so I have a lot of flexibility. Thursday night to Sunday night work best for me. I am able to take the dogs on walks by my anpartment and have a yard close by for room to play and bathroom breaks.
“Amanda was great and so easy to communicate and schedule with. My pup enjoyed staying with her and he left happy and tired - a perfect combo! I will definitely rebook with Amanda in the future.”

“Trey and his fiancé were amazing. I traveled far and had a unique circumstance that they accommodated graciously and with great communication. I was beyond grateful for their help and for their care. I felt so safe leaving my two dogs in their hands! Also, their two pups are precious and were so friendly!”

“This was the first visit for our pups with Janey. She is fantastic! She provided daily check-ins without over communicating. My Flo had some stomach issues while there and Janey provided updates without alarming me. She even cooked a special vet-suggested diet for her! So happy to have found Janey - she is our go-to for our doggies' stay-cations! Thank you!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Nashville
Madison was wonderful! She helped us out last minute when our original sitter fell through, and we are so grateful. She was a great communicator, sent us pictures every day, and took such great care of Goose. He clearly loved her! We would absolutely use Madison again and highly recommend her!

Paula was absolutely wonderful with my dog! She watched him for a full week at her home, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was caring, attentive, and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of throughout his stay. She kept me updated and was great about notifying me of any concerns or anything she thought I should know. Most importantly, my dog appeared to be extremely happy and comfortable while he was there, which gave me great peace of mind. I highly recommend Paula to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and responsible dog sitter. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
