“My fur baby had an overnight slumber party at Laura's. Her two dogs and mine had fun outdoors in the fenced yard and inside with lots of toys. I'm so happy with the care and comfort Laura provided to my dog.”

“Mallory took such great care of Leo! 😊 She kept us updated with lots of photos, which we really appreciated. Leo looked so happy and comfortable. We would definitely book with her again!”

“Lincoln loved his stay with Dominic. He was well taken care of and Dominic even made sure he got his exercise early before the heat wave hit. I received updates and photos showing Lincoln was living his best life.”

“An amazing dog sitter! Very responsible, communicative, and genuinely caring. Enzo was happy, well cared for, and comfortable the entire time. I truly appreciated the updates and attention given. I would absolutely book again!!!!”

“Amanda is so great with Mickey. She loves taking care of him and gets him the good walks he needs even right before we pick him up so he is chill for getting home to unpack after a trip.”

“I felt instantly at ease about Kayahja watching our pup! We had good communication every day and our pup was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend Kayahja and would have our dog stay there again. Thank you!”

“Gussie was amazing and took great care of my dog while we were away for a long weekend. She sent tons of photos, videos and updates all day! Very flexible with my schedule after dealing with flight issues. 10/10!! Couldn’t recommend her enough!!”

“Emily was fantastic with Minnie! Her home is incredibly dog-friendly, with plenty of beds, blankets, and a great backyard for play. Minnie stayed for one night, went on her walks, and I felt completely confident she was in good hands. If we’re ever back in Nashville, we would definitely book Emily again. Highly recommend!”

“Laura was amazing! While we were hesitant to leave our 1 and a half year old kitty Mikhail, we felt the need to visit with our daughter who lives across the country and then we decided to fulfill some wanderlust while we were in her area. Before we made the decision to leave him with Laura, Mikhail and I went to meet her and visit with her. I was confident at that point that Laura would be our person. We even ran into each other while grocery shopping a few weeks later. While we were gone, Laura assured us that Mikhail was having a wonderful 5 star vacation himself. She sent us pictures and even videos. When we picked him up it was obvious that Laura had taken the best care of him, just as she would taken care of her own precious fur babies. I even wondered if Mikhail might not want to come home with us. Thank you Laura and Rover.”

“Alexsandra was great! She sent many pictures and updates and was very kind about how energetic Bruno can be. Bruno loved playing with her pup and came back exhausted!”

“I had a last minute trip come up and the people I typically ask to watch her were all unavailable. Rue is my ESA and I’ve never left her with someone new before, but Tanya made me feel at ease, sent lots of pics and videos, and made my girl feel loved! I was able to trust that she was safe and cared for and I’m so grateful ☺️”

“Katie was so sweet with Murphy, she graciously let us do a meet and greet beforehand to make sure he and Margot were buddies (they got on famously), and was very communicative about his time there, and was diligent in administering his twice daily medications. She was flexible working with our drop off and pick up schedule and I look forward to booking with her again if the need arises!”

“Lauren went above and beyond taking care of Cece! From the moment we left, I felt completely at ease knowing she was in such great hands. Lauren sent so many photos and updates of Cece clearly having the best time while on walks, hanging out, and enjoying lots of cuddles. It honestly felt like Cece was living her best life while we were gone. If I could rate Lauren 10 out of 10, I absolutely would. I can’t recommend her highly enough! Thank you, Lauren, for taking such great care of Cece!”

“Kathryn did such a great job with my pup! I received constant updates and pictures. She took him to the dog park regularly while he was in her care and he looked like he had a great time! Highly recommend!!”

“Amanda was the greatest, she sent pictures daily so I could see how my baby was doing. I was afraid she was going to have anxiety separation cause she has gotten so attached to me. she also sent a video so I could see how she was playing.”

“Robin is wonderful! My pups were well taken care of. She was very informative and would send me photos and updates daily! I will definitely be booking with her again :)”

“Tish was so kind and patient with my pup for her first time being away from me for more than a day. Luna was clearly so well cared for and pampered. I was nervous leaving her for the first time but she was in such good hands. I am so excited to have Tish as a resource for the future!”

“Michelle is always great! She was very accommodating with scheduling pickup for Truffles with my friend while I was away. Truffles is always so relaxed and comfortable with her!”

Can’t recommend Brook enough! He cared for our high-energy pup this weekend and was so attentive and thoughtful with a very affordable rate. Brook sent videos every day, and it’s clear he really cares about the dogs he takes in. Leroy loved all the playtime and came home happy like a kid from summer camp.

Kelly is absolutely amazing. She always goes above and beyond to provide the best care for our pups. She also is great at keeping us updated on how our dogs are doing while we are away. Kelly is extremely flexible and understanding of unexpected travel delays. I will book time and time again! ❤️❤️

Molly was the most amazing sitter! She was so attentive to my old baby boy and a great communicator! Being an older dog mom, I’m always apprehensive about leaving Trooper for long periods of time because he’s very attached to me and needs more TLC than most dogs. Molly was very accommodating and patient with him until he adjusted. I highly recommend her!!!

Sean is a beautiful lifesaver with a soul that knows pups! We were in a situation that I don’t wish on any pup owner where we were frantic to find someone to keep our border collie last minute after our plan fell through. Sean is kind and patient with all babes and I’d trust him with any furry!

Michelle provided such a nice family/home atmosphere for my 2 little dogs who stayed with her for a few days. They were a little scared at first but Michelle helped them settle in nicely and kept me regularly updated with updates and photos. My dogs even slept in her bed along with her little dog! It was very reassuring to know that my dogs were in a safe loving environment.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
