“I am so grateful for Allison and the way things just happened to align in short time given that I was traveling from out of state and needed day care for my dog. Allison was so incredibly warm, supportive and sensitive to my dogs needs, and communicated throughout the two days of care she provided. Would absolutely recommend her and prioritize her when I roll through town again!”

“Alyssa not only saved us with short booking, it was evident she was skilled at working with dogs. Her furry loved one showed great disciple and we knew immediately she was gong to care for our loved one. We came into Nashville from Pennsylvania and couldn't have felt more comfortable. And honestly Alyssa's responsiveness before we met put that at ease. When we came to pick Obi up it was like he was a part of their pack. Thank you! We'll definitely be looking you up again when we are back in town!”

She took such good care of our puppy like she was her own. I highly recommend Melissa to anyone looking for someone who will care for your dog as much as you do if not more! We Will definitely be using her next time We are in Nashville.”

About: Hello we have a wonderful 1 year old puppy named Tommy. He gets along with every dog big or small. I do get help from my boyfriend so we work together to watch your pet☺️ Make your pet feel comfortable by bringing their own food, treats, toys, cage and whatever other supplies they will need for their stay with us please🙂 We take our dog to the dog park every day to get a good exercise in and some energy and normally our pup is alone at our dog park. available whenever at least one of us will be home We go outside everyday to get all of the energy out. We have lot of toys for dogs to play with. Also with my very energized puppy its very necessary.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. I have lots of experience feeding, walking, and caring for pups. I’ve raised puppies as well as cared for senior dogs. I work full time Monday - Thursday until 6, but I am mostly available the rest of the time. I typically have weekend and evening availability. My husband is often home during the day and can help with providing care as well. I have a fenced yard and a very sweet, small dog who loves other dogs. I can easily crate your dog as well if necessary.
“Our 2 pups are always excited to go see Brandon. In every photo he sends I can tell the pups are happy and comfortable with him. I never have to worry about the care they receive with him.”

“Great communication and extremely accommodating. Our pup got sick before day care and she was more than willing to do drop ins instead to prevent other dogs from getting sick. He also clearly had a great time with Bethany!”

“Both dogs came home tired and content after a full day of play! Brook was amazing and very responsive, quick to solidify our booking and sending photos and videos throughout the day of our dogs. Jules can be a wildcard because of her anxious GSD energy, but even she relaxed and appeared to have a good time.”

“Carolyn is very conscientious and caring, making sure she knows everything about how to take care of your fur baby. The boys had a blast with her and I got lots of pictures and videos. Thank you!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was 6. I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 17. I’ve been relied on by multiple people to watch their dogs over the years. Since my mom is a full-time nanny a lot of her customers have dogs. So she would take care of the children and I took care of the pets. I’m currently training and caring for a grey pyrenees puppy at least a few times a week. I’m currently working as a full-time freelancer so any day at any time I’m free. Looking to earn some money on the side while still being able to control my hours until my business takes off :) I have a pet friendly apartment with a fenced dog park, two cats to keep your fur babies company (they are very friendly) and on occasion I have a great pyrenees puppy with me as well.
“This was our first time using Rover. Mariah quickly eased my anxiety of leaving Duke with someone I didn’t know. We received a picture mid visit. Mariah is very personable and communicates well. I would highly recommend using her. We certainly will use her again when we are back in the area. Thank you Mariah for taking care of our boy.”

“Kelsey was great! She was prompt in communication and took great care of Kane. She has a dog that is very friendly and both dogs played well together. We will definitely use Kelsey again in the future.”

“Landy and Tim are great! Chewie’s first daycare with them went so well! He got two walks, lap sitting, and enjoyed being a part of their pack. Thanks guys! We’d love to book again!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and love pretty much every dog that I meet! I have a very sweet Golden Retriever, Tillie Mae, who thinks that everyone (dogs and people) are her best friends. She loves nothing more than going to the dog park and running her little heart out... or going to Starbucks. I work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule with some limited travel, here and there. I am here to help make sure your best friend is happy and loved throughout the day! Whether it’s long walks, a trip to the dog park or just a little play time at home in the fenced in yard that your dog needs, just let me know! I’m available for doggy day care and overnight stays!
“Emily took wonderful care of my fur baby, Sugar, while we were visiting Nashville. She has a large fenced yard where the dogs can play, and I appreciated the extra safety measures she took. Emily put Sugar’s collar on in addition to her harness in case she somehow got loose, which showed me she was thinking ahead and treating Sugar like one of her own. Before I left, Emily carefully introduced Sugar to the other dogs and made sure everyone got along and that Sugar was comfortable. That gave me tremendous peace of mind. I felt completely comfortable leaving my girl in her care, and it was obvious Sugar was well loved and well cared for while we were away. I would happily trust Emily with Sugar again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and conscientious pet sitter.”

“Megan is an amazing sitter. She is fantastic with my dog! We have done both day care and boarding and my dog has an absolute blast. If I can’t be with my dog, then I know Megan will give her the love and attention she needs.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hermitage commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
