About: Hi! I'm Jodi. I have loved animals my whole life and owned many, including dogs, horses, cats, rabbits, parakeets, fish, a turtle, and gerbils. My house is 15-20 minutes from downtown Nashville and just off I-40 near the Percy Priest Dam and BNA. I work from home as a freelance editor, and my backyard is fully fenced-in (wood privacy fence) with grass and trees and plants. My girls are Emma and Monica. They are both rescued border collie mixes (aka foster fails): Emma is 10.5 years old and Monica is 5. They LOVE meeting new people and dogs. My girls always come first. They get lots of time outside most days unless the weather is bad. They typically eat breakfast around 7 and supper by 5. (Emma is very insistent on her eating schedule! 😂 ) I've been fostering and keeping dogs for over ten years, and I promise to take great care of your pup(s) while you're away and send pictures as often as you like. I look forward to hearing from you! Please note: I prefer to keep dogs that are crate trained, potty trained, and have good inside manners. I will NOT keep unneutered males or unspayed females. I am also NOT comfortable with Chows. My two girls are my life. I take care of them first thing in the morning every day and they sleep with me every night, usually on the bed. I am very careful with my own and other people’s dogs. I have firsthand experience with my own flight risk girl and recently endured my worst nightmare when she got free while staying with a sitter when I was out of town and there was an accident. Thank God she is ok! I don’t want anyone else to have to go through that, so I will be very diligent in caring for your dog! (If anything should happen despite my best efforts, please know that Rover does an excellent job offering support and helping! Again, I have firsthand experience. Thank you, Rover!!)
“Alyssa not only saved us with short booking, it was evident she was skilled at working with dogs. Her furry loved one showed great disciple and we knew immediately she was gong to care for our loved one. We came into Nashville from Pennsylvania and couldn't have felt more comfortable. And honestly Alyssa's responsiveness before we met put that at ease. When we came to pick Obi up it was like he was a part of their pack. Thank you! We'll definitely be looking you up again when we are back in town!”

“Mellisa was like a second momma bear to our puppy Lilly! She watched Lilly our mini dachshund for a couple weeks while we were in Nashville for work. She took such good care of our puppy like she was her own. I highly recommend Melissa to anyone looking for someone who will care for your dog as much as you do if not more! We Will definitely be using her next time We are in Nashville.”

“Kelsey was great! She was prompt in communication and took great care of Kane. She has a dog that is very friendly and both dogs played well together. We will definitely use Kelsey again in the future.”

“Sally is the epitome of what one could hope for when seeking doggie day care. I was traveling through Nashville and needed my pup cared for. She not only accommodated my last minute booking, she ensured he was comfy, exercised and loved. He’s a senior dog and pretty attached to me but he was putty in her hands. I highly recommend Sally and will certainly see her again when I come through Nashville!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was 6. I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 17. I’ve been relied on by multiple people to watch their dogs over the years. Since my mom is a full-time nanny a lot of her customers have dogs. So she would take care of the children and I took care of the pets. I’m currently training and caring for a grey pyrenees puppy at least a few times a week. I’m currently working as a full-time freelancer so any day at any time I’m free. Looking to earn some money on the side while still being able to control my hours until my business takes off :) I have a pet friendly apartment with a fenced dog park, two cats to keep your fur babies company (they are very friendly) and on occasion I have a great pyrenees puppy with me as well.

“Great communication and extremely accommodating. Our pup got sick before day care and she was more than willing to do drop ins instead to prevent other dogs from getting sick. He also clearly had a great time with Bethany!”

“Melissa was an absolutely amazing dog sitter while my husband and I toured Nashville, TN!! Our dog, Bailey, loved staying with Melissa!!! We would highly recommend Melissa for any pet stays!!! Thanks so much Melissa, we think you are awesome!!”
