“Cyndie and her family took great care of my two furry family members. Cyndie is quick to communicate and shared photos while we were out of town. My doggies were right at home. :)”

“Emily was fantastic with Minnie! Her home is incredibly dog-friendly, with plenty of beds, blankets, and a great backyard for play. Minnie stayed for one night, went on her walks, and I felt completely confident she was in good hands. If we’re ever back in Nashville, we would definitely book Emily again. Highly recommend!”

“This was my first time leaving my pup Tony with someone! I went through all the “nervous dad” feelings, but the moment I got that first picture of my boy from Michelle i IMMEDIATELY felt better. Michelle and Bryce were so good at keeping him busy- it seemed like playtime was all day! They treated Tony like he was their own, and I’m so greatful! I wish I could book myself a vacation at Michelle and Bryce’s home!”

“Molly was great! We went on a long weekend trip and our dog seemed very happy and comfortable there. She even took her on a 5 mile walk! We will definitely be using Molly in the future!”

“Laura is an exceptional dog sitter. I boarded my dog with her for a week and knew my dog was in good hands. Laura is knowledgeable and intuitive about dogs in general and in the specific needs of my dog. She sent me videos and texts throughout the week which reassured me of my dog's wellbeing.”

“Absolutely book with Konnor!! When my husband and I were 12 hours away with limited service and our first Rover sitter informed us that she could no longer care for our pups, Konnor responded to my panicked message quickly! Konnor not only responded quickly, she was also willing and able to transport our pets on less than an hours notice, and provided our babies with great care! She was communicative and our pups came home happy and well cared for.”

About: I’m a dependable dog lover who provides a safe, clean, and loving home away from home. I share my home with a friendly Toy Poodle and a well-socialized Doberman, so your pup can enjoy companionship—or, if you prefer, I can keep them separate for a more personalized stay. Whether your dog loves to play or prefers a calm environment, I’ll treat them like family and keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages while you’re away. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. 🐶💕 I work remotely, which allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, playtime, supervision, and plenty of one-on-one attention. Your our pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will receive the care, love, and attention they deserve. My home features a fully fenced yard for supervised play and exercise, along with a dedicated pet area for rest and relaxation. For everyone’s safety and comfort, I require that all dogs be house-trained and crate-trained.
“This is the second time we've left our pups with Michelle and it was just as great as the first time. Our pups were happy and well taken care of while we were away for the week. Plenty of updates and she went absolutely above and beyond for us. So thoughtful, kind, and genuine. Thank you Michelle!”

“Sydnie and her family were the best dog sitters! Kona was well taken care of and loved hanging with them and their Golden! Sydnie sent updates (from Kona 😊) everyday to describe his day. So cute! Highly recommended!”

“Lily was so good with our Charlie! We felt at ease knowing he was well loved and taken care of. She was great at sending us pictures and updates. Will definitely use Lily anytime we go out of town to care for our fur baby.”
“Valentina was great with Biscuit! She sent daily updates and took Biscuit to fun activities like a hike and farmer's market. I had no worries that he was being well taken care of and I plan on booking with Valentina again!”

“Katherine was the best!! She made Koda feel right at home, snuggled with him, walked him, and got some good backyard play time in. I was very grateful that she took such good care of my nervous boy! Definitely will reach out again :)”

“Angeli was amazing and I would definitely use her again. She has a very kind spirit and so does her dog Rocco. I took my pup Thor to her house the day before the scheduled sitting appointment for a meet and greet and he was smiling and wagging his tail the whole time. When I took him back the next day to drop him off, he ran straight to the door and didn’t even turn around to tell me bye. Thor was so loved on while he was with Angeli which is evident from all of the photos that she sent. Thank you Angeli!”

“Erid and Cheryl are absolutely wonderful. My pup has a tendency to be anxious, but they made him feel calm, loved, happy, and welcome in their home. They provided daily photos and updates, and I didn't worry at all while I was gone that Humphrey was being taken care of just the way I would take care of him myself. I am excited to leave Humphrey with them again, and I'm sure Humphrey feels the same.”

“Winter is so great with our 9 year old cocker spaniel, Layne. She’s kept him multiple times and he’s always excited to see her at drop off! So glad to have a dependable person to watch our pup whenever we head out of town 😊”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Old Hickory
Dre took such great care of my dog, Millie, while I was away for a weekend trip! I could tell in all of the photos/videos that she was having so much fun and was so comfortable with her new friends. Dre was communicative and provided detailed updates that truly put me at ease. I would absolutely ask her to watch Millie for me again and recommend her to friends.

Konnor was beyond excellent in communication and response time. She remained flexible with changing drop off/pick up times. I appreciated her availability on a busy holiday weekend. We wanted to keep our pup in a safe environment and she made sure he was well taken care of while sending pics and videos. Highly recommend Konnor and would book again when in the area.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
